He used intimidation tactics, as well as bullying in his higher power position over me in the role of doctor versus patient. He attempted to shame me for voicing my frustration with the lack of communication on behalf of his staff and himself. He asked if I realized I was not the only person in the world that mattered, and continued with "you must want one of those fancy specialty doctors who pamper their patients", which he followed by throwing his hands up and saying "I'm done, I don't get paid enough for this". I strongly feel that Dr. Joseph is in great need of minimally a leave of absence. It was extremely clear to me by his atrocious bedside manner and lack of empathy that he has no regard for his patients' wellbeing.

A Disgrace to all MDs…read more This doctor Amer Malik lied to me & discriminated against me, just like his staff did. The final act this practice did to me was to lie yet again and then call my husband names. They claimed a letter from a specialist was missing key language they needed to fill out a form for me to keep my job, but they refused to give me a copy of the letter the specialist sent. I got copy of that letter and the language Malik's woman "Fatima" said was missing was in fact in the letter. The doctor had what he needed but lied, intentionally, which has cost me my job, my home-he waited until the 11th hour. Malik-your trifles with insurance manipulation which you openly brag about in front of patients.. good luck w that. But with me- You crosse a line, medically, ethically, and in many other ways. And having your receptionist come outside as if high, screaming profanities at my husband and referring to him as a woman actually captures YOUR true character, and hers. Complaints incoming. They called after eight weeks to schedule my surgery for another three week wait. Let the scheduler know need to sooner. She scheduled pre-order for Monday at 2:40, surgery on Wednesday. After their office is close on Friday, I get email changing appointment to 4:40. No phone call to see if I'm available, I'm not. Left phone call to cancel pre-op, surgery, and post-op. After arriving at the office and being told they had no record of the appointment, I pleaded with the receptionist to allow me to see a doctor due to the size and area of the abscess. They were able to get me in. Dr. Caspary said he thought it may be Masitioditis (which can be life-threatening) and that I would need to come back the following day for a CT Scan that would be done in office. I am currently traveling and the office was outside my insurance network so I had been paying upfront. The office said they would call me the next day and let me know the price of the CT Scan. They gave me the price of the CT Scan and scheduled the appointment. Since they mentioned it would be done in office, I had assumed they would also read it in office. When they did not read the CT and sent me home (the abscess has not gone down, there were no additional antibiotics given) I went back in and pleaded again to the receptionist that I would like to see the doctor, that I did not know what to do, and was afraid. At this point, it was suggested I consider going to the ER or make arrangements to go to the ER. Dr. Caspary did not come in the room and instead sent his medical assistant. I ran home to grab a bag for the ER, I lose hearing in my ear and it begins draining. I rush to the ER. I call Dr. Caspary's office at 4:45 to request that the CT Scan be sent to the ER knowing they will need them. The answering service says they cannot connect me to the office. I hang up. Once I arrived at the ER, they immediately took me back, started new rounds of antibiotics, run additional CT Scans, flushed the ear and made me feel safe. Dr. Caspary's office did not follow up with me until days later (after I had already called their office to schedule the follow up). During follow up with Dr. Caspary's office, I let him personally know that I felt the care I was given was less than acceptable. His response was to the effect of, "yeah, I don't know." At this point, all I want to do is make sure I am okay and leave the office. I will say Dr. Caspary did seem more concerned after this and gave me great care from this point on. After my last appointment, I spoke with the office manager who apologized for my experience. I felt that since I was self-pay and had to have the imaging redone - that I should have my money refunded for the CT scan that was done in office. She said she would get back to me and did not. This was at the end of May. I am fine now and continued about my life and had decided to just move on. Then I received a bill from a radiologist for $1200. The office never informed me that they would be sending the radiology report out - just that it would be done in office. The also never disclosed I would be charged separately for this. When I called to find out why, I was told this is normal and that there was nothing they could do. The care I was given at Dr. Caspary's office of Head & Neck Associates of Bay County was neglectful, unfair, and unacceptable. I sincerely hope no one else ever has to go through this type of experience.

Today my husband needed to be fitted for a new orthotic. Initially they wanted 1/2 the money up front; we told them our insurance covers it at 100%. They called to verify and found out it was covered at 100% but the allowable amount was $68, which does not cover their cost. So, they wanted us to pay the difference. My husband explained that balance billing is not allowed as in network provider. We contacted the insurance company to inquire and were told they were no longer in network providers. We contacted the office and were subsequently told that if the insurance didn't pay (because we don't have out of network coverage), we would just have to pay the bill. We were never notified by their office that they were no longer in network providers, so we could have looked elsewhere for service. Unprofessional!!

To the point of wondering if I was in some sort of AI simulation. Over and over again telling me a referral had to be in her computer to a. Answer my questions, b. Make an appointment (we have a ppo that does not require referrals) and wouldn't tell me where to get one. The ER writing follow up with a neurologist seemed like that would be referring us to neurology. Talked to the ER today and they said they could get me a copy of the records to take to them but had no idea how to get a referral into their computer. The insurance company gave me the same thing VA had: a list of practices. The practice calls them to verify coverage not the other way around. Did she mean authorization? I'll never know. She would not stop talking over me to ask. I can't let anyone I know who needs neurology go into that den of madness. And my misunderstanding of the process I can accept. Not having the skills at the receptionist desk for a call to walk someone through the process in a doctor's office is really not acceptable. They are the interface with the doctors & system. Unfortunately the only other practices in town were 3-4 months out. We have to drive to Tallahassee to be seen. Infuriating.

Instead of having prescriptions filled at the appropriate time following her initial consult, they said they sent it to the pharmacy, but nothing was ever received by the pharmacist. When asked again to send the prescriptions, they sent 1 of 2 to the pharmacist. It took them until less than a week before the procedure to send only 1 of the 2 necessary prep medications to the pharmacist and, as of the time writing this, we're still having issues getting the other medication less than a day ahead of the procedure. Highly, highly recommend a different clinic if possible.

He diagnosed her and treated her even after the ER stated her foot was fine, and to walk on it after a few days, and come to find out it was broke with all the ligaments torn.
