We went to Spiaggetta on a Memorial wekend, let's just mention it was 7pm and very busy. Staff did their best and they did accommodate us very quickly. The atmosphere is very pleasant, beutiful interior and let's not forget to mention AMAZING FOOD! All the way from appetizers to dessert. We weren't disappointed at all and we can't even say which dish was better then the other. We come to Wildwood every year for our family vacation and have always wanted to check out Stone Harbor. Was looking for a good Italian place and I did just that!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good service, great atmosphere and amazingly good fresh homemade pasta. We had the meatballs as our appy and they definitely delivered. Thick and meaty with a tasteful sauce to dip them in. For dinner, my hubby had the Amatriciana, and loved the freshness of the tomato's. I lucked out by ordering the Papalina which is by far the very best homemade pasta I ever had. I could not finish the dish and gave the leftovers to my son and his boyfriend who devoured it confirming how very good it was. Great place - Great staff and EXCELLENT food!! Spiaggetta's Italian Restaurant in Stone Harbor is top on my list! On January 14th, 2022 this family-owned restaurant opened their doors so we could celebrate a private event. The owner, Marco did a great job to accommodate our party. The head chef, Rob is a culinary expert in taste and presentation of well-prepared food and service. From the appetizers which consisted of meatballs, calamari, bruschetta and eggplant rollatini, it was the best we have ever tasted! Been there five times. First time, everything was good or better, which is why we went back. Each time afterwards, some things were very good, some not, so we figured it was just a matter of avoiding those items that were not done well, but now it's just not worth it, for the price. Once, we had an Italian version of bouillabaisse, perfect saffron broth and seafood, next time, they left out the saffron, even though it points out that it has saffron on the menu, and the fish was rubbery. Most recently, we had two fine appetizers, the octopus and the sauteed calamari. Interestingly, half of the calamari dish was baby octopus (without the heads), which I happen to know well because I make it at home frequently. I pointed this out to the waiter, he tried to tell me it was the calamari tentacles, and I told him it was not, and that I happen to love baby octopus, but others might not, so either you should tell people or not include baby octopus in the dish. They just thought they could pass off baby octopus as calamari tentacles. The two entrees were both disappointing. One was the"signature" house pasta, which he highly recommended, Pappardelle Spiagetta with home made pasta, lime marinated shrimp and pecorino sauce. The sauce was like sludge and tasted heavily of lemon, and the few shrimp were not lemon or lime marinated that we could tell, just the sauce. It was edible, but not enjoyable, and the supposedly excellent home made pasta was just ordinary and overcooked. The other entree, Branzino over grilled polenta and zucchini was a very good preparation but the fish was just so so. Plus, it was only one half of a relatively small fish. It was pitiful. The waiter had made a big deal about how the kitchen fillets it for us, which I usually like to do myself. I asked him if I ordered it again, could I fillet it myself, and would I get a whole fish, and he said, well the kitchen doesn't really fillet it, it comes that way, which means it is probably frozen fillets. So if you don't know the difference between a dish with saffron and one without when it is advertised to come with saffron, and you don't know the difference between calamari and baby octopus, and you don't know the difference between lemon and lime, and don't mind overcooked sludgy pasta that reeks of lemon, and you don't mind eating half of a frozen fish fillet, and you generally don't mind going to a restaurant that cuts corners in a lot of areas but thinks you are too uneducated to know the difference, then you will like this restaurant more than we did. read more

It was our first vacation dinner this summer. We had high hopes. The service is all young girls on the third ring of Saturn. Not grounded. Very slow service mixed with some strange anomalies. My son ordered spagetti and meat balls and got them promptly. The rest of us waited another 30 min. before being served. He was finished when we started. What kind of restaurant is that???? I ordered branzino. Small piece of fish over a corn muffin (I am not kidding) wrapped in zucchini. Whoever heard of that? And a tiny piece of fish. For $36. You have to be kidding. Don't bother unless you cannot find reservations anywhere else. I just read the response from the Owner. Nice little backhand to deflect my comments. What he fails to recognize and could really care less about is the fact that no one ordered appetizers so all of us had to watch my son eat his meal while we waited. We showed up on a Saturday night during the 4th of July weekend at 8:00 pm for our 8:15 pm reservation and was promptly seated when we arrived. After reading the reviews, we were concerned over the wait, service and the food but our experience was positive on all counts. For appetizers, I had the Burrata and he had the Mussels - both were EXCELLENT! I had the Fettucine (with seafood) for dinner and he had the Spaghetti and Clams. He chose the spaghetti so the pasta would be homemade and the fettuccine was homemade (not all the pastas are homemade). We devoured our meals enjoying every minute of it. We finished off with sharing the Tiramisu that was also excellent. We have traveled to Italy on several occasions and consider ourselves pretty knowledgeable with authentic and delicious Italian restaurants. We will absolutely return to this restaurant. read more

My boyfriend's father took the two of us out to dinner at this restaurant as a treat. Although we hadn't made reservations in advance, we were seated immediately. Our server was very friendly. He engaged us in conversation as he opened our wine (BYOB). He was also very knowledgeable about the menu and made suggestions based on our preferences. For the appetizer, we ordered Fried Calamari, which was served with some sort of spicy dipping sauce. It was fantastic! For the main course, I ordered Linguine & Clams in Basil-Pesto Sauce. Although the pasta was not homemade like some of the other dishes, it was still excellent. I really enjoyed the fact that the servers did not rush us at all. Even after we finished our food, they continually refilled our water glasses and bread bowl as we sipped on the last of our wine. All in all, this restaurant had a great atmosphere, excellent service, and tasty food. I am deducting a star simply because the food was delicious, but not what I was expecting for the high price. Last weekend my son got married at St Paul's church so naturally we had our rehearsal dinner around the corner..Spiaggetta had delicious Italian fare, & an upstairs private dining room large enough for our small family of 60 & a staff that worked with us during the planning stage to make our special event exactly what we wanted. Marco answered every email, was always available & Manuela managed our event with warm hospitality as though we were in the family dining room. From family platters on each table to delicious entrees to bestest tiramisu ever! Marco & his staff far exceeded our expectations for our very special evening. My husband and I love this spot! We come to Stone Harbor every year and our one nice dinner out together is this spot. Their food is so amazing and authentic tasting, I've never been disappointed with their dishes or their servers. They also give you endless bread and olive oil! The first time we ate there we were offered hot cappuccinos after our meal and our server was awesome. Their take out is just as good too! My new husband (!) and I went to celebrate our mini-moon. We were 5 minutes late and they graciously accepted our apology. We were seated at a large table despite being a party of 2, and there was plenty of space in the restaurant- didn't feel crammed- which is important to us Philly based diners. He had the meatballs and linguine special, and was very happy. I had the arugula special and the branzino- top notch. Excellent espresso to round out the night. Our server, Daniel, was friendly and accommodating- gave great recommendations. The hostess was warm and welcoming. Ate here last night. Our waiter was an awesome laid back surfer dude, however the kitchen took forever to get our food out. We sat down at 8:45 and finished our meal at 10:45pm. But was in good company so it didn't bother us much. Apps were amazing, had the melon wrapped in prosciutto special and grilled octopus. Entrees where great, all fresh pasta and seafood dishes. Started out great. Welcoming staff, nice ambiance and a nice big table for our party of 6. Our wine was opened and chilled quickly. Our group split 3 appetizers which we're very good. The issue was the entrees. Very bland with no flavor. Grilled shrimp looked boiled. No grill marks, no marinade, and no flavor. Chicken saultimbouca was just sautéed chicken breasts. A few tiny pieces of spinach and again - no flavor. The high point was the little side of pasta- the red sauce was great. But a $26 chicken dish should not feature the little side of penne. Really wanted to like this place. Service from the host to the waiter was horrible. We had reservations but still were given the worst table in the place - a 2 person table angled & set to face the people at the next table instead of each other. Water glass never refilled, waiter never followed up to see how our food was. But the worst was they are passing tilapia off as Sea Bass. The 2 are very distinct fish. I like both but when I order Sea Bass - that's what I want. I will say my dining companion's grilled shrimp dinner was delicious thus the 2 stars. So IF you HAVE TO GO, get the shrimp. read more

Horrible experience at this establishment. Besides the fact that the food is below mediocre and I couldn't even cut my lobster tail with a knife it was so rubbery, the service was absolutely awful. I had a 6:15 res and did not walk out of the restaurant until after 8pm. I had to ask for water after sitting for a period of time and then had to ask for bread after over 20 min and then an hour later, asked again about the status of our food. The manager is very rude and did not once offer to comp our apps or at least offer dessert or coffee on the house. Poor customer service and extremely slow wait staff. Will never return as there are sooooo many other restaurants in the area that are a thousand times better and treat their customers with professionalism. UPDATE: hysterical that the manager of this restaurant responds so poorly to his negative yelp reviews during business hours when he should be working...I guess it's more important to check the reviews instead of accommodating your customers. A beautiful inviting restaurant. The Italian owner greeted us with warmth and gusto, like we were old friends or family members and personally escorted us to our table. Our waiter Stephen, who has been there for 9 years and lives in LA but relocates every summer just to work there was extremely polished and professional and so attentive that he made us feel like we were his only table. Meanwhile he singlehandedly served 2/3 of the nearly filled restaurant! The meal was delicious with sensible portions and an authentically Italian taste with a gorgeous presentation. The branzino and octopus were to die for and the pasta was suck, and completely homemade! A humble giant of a restaurant and just a fantastic meal! We will be back! read more

I'm on vacation so the fact that its overpriced is expected. My chicken parm was solid and place was really family friendly. The reason for 2 stars is my wife ordered a special and took 1 bite and was really offended. Never complains about food so I decided to try a bite and was equally offended. So it was untouched. The waiter asked us at the end about it being untouched and my wife said very politely how bad it was and in a nice way inedible. He said oh sorry and then two minutes later gave us the check with the full 38 dollar charge. To add insult to injury a glass of small glass of soda was 4$ as was the refill$. Next night we went across the street to Nemo's and it was twice as cheap and twice as good. read more

We come every year on our family vacation. Our waitress Michelle was amazing. The food was really good. Here is the issue: I am 8 months pregnant and went to use the restroom with my friend. Waiting for the restroom stall to open a lady in a chef outfit came out of the stall saying she needed help. I went into the stall that she came out of and my friend waited. I walk out and she has my friend holding a dirty ace bandage. I asked what was going on and she said she needed help wrapping her arm. Both arms were full of sores. I said that is contagious her response was yes it is. I am a nurse and it is highly contagious-poisonous Sumac. My friend wrapped her arm and I told my friend to wash her hands immediately the chef agreed that my friend should wash her hands. Here is the kicker: the chef left after touching her infected arm and never even washed her hands. I don't want to get anyone in trouble but come on I am 8 months pregnant and was exposed to a highly contagious rash. People were walking in the bathroom disgusted looking at her as she wrapped her arm with bathroom paper towels and made my friend cover it with an ace bandage. We come out of the bathroom and tell everyone in our party. We don't want anyone getting in trouble but I felt the need to tell our waitress because numerous people in the bathroom were in shock stating they can't believe she is cooking food and didn't wash her hands after touching her contagious rash. I am pretty sure our waitress told the "owner" who walked around the the whole time. He didn't even come up to us to apologize or anything. Terrible management. read more

First, the service was really really poor from the waitress. Inattentive and rude. There was a waiting list to be seated. We didn't order an appetizer and after almost an hour after placing our dinner order waitress said that's why our dinner took so long to be served. Poor way to run a business. Our water glasses were never refilled. As for the food, my salmon was overcooked, the rice cake was inedible. I've never felt compelled to write a review before but my experience was awful! My boyfriend left her a 20% tip because he is a kind man BUT we both agree this was a terrible dining experience on our vacation and we will never go back again! read more

So sad to write this review since we had such a nice rehearsal dinner here in 2016. We made reservations well in advance and had to wait 30 min for a table despite multiple tables being open. It's just poorly run. Throughout our dinner we watched multiple parties wait 30-40 min while the tables were set and ready but they weren't seated. A party would leave and the table would sit dirty for 15 min despite so many people waiting. Understaffed and poorly managed. Our dinner was good, nothing exceptional like I remembered. The severs and bus staff were working very hard! I added on shrimp to my pasta meal and paid $6 and received 3 medium shrimp, such a rip off. Again, we had such a good experience prior so I'm very disappointed. Hopefully they can learn how to better manage the tables and provide better service and quality. read more

Maitre'd was an idiot and rude. The boy who served bread and water had no idea what he was doing and made us move our own water glasses around so he could put down the bread. For a 6:30 reservation, we were told that the bronzino was already no longer available. The waitress didn't know what was gluten free. The restroom reeked of bleach. We sat outside, but the decor inside was very tired and all of the people inside were very old. The grilled artichoke appetizer had spikey pieces. The grilled octopus was tough and lacking in flavor. The Romano salad, which I ordered gluten free, came out with a piece of brief on top. I told the server that I needed it gluten free, and then he asked if I ordered it that way, and I responded that I did, and then he asked if he could just take the break off, and I told him that taking the bread off would not work because I have an allergy, so I needed a new salad.
