The servers were helpful and quick service. Huge place and the structure is like a tent. Open kitchen and a huge menu. The menu has beautiful clear pictures which I like. You get what you see. But this fact could have been conveyed with…read morea little more gentle courtesy when I stepped into the Jeffrey Grill to pick up an early Sunday night falafel meal. In Voorburg, the options for Sunday dinner dining are woefully slim pickings (read: virtually everything is closed by 4pm except this place and the supermarket). This takeaway joint looked clean, if spartan, and a falafel pita is usually fairly dependable. I immediately felt put on the defensive as the sole customer in the store, first laughed at when I politely asked if there was hummus to add to the pita, then huffed at when I refused the french fries that they were trying to upcharge me for--almost potentially doubling the cost of the meal. Granted most people who are probably patronizing this place are going there after a long night of one too many Dutch lagers, and in no frame of mind to consult Yelp, but I'm quite sure that the supermarket option would win out for me the next time Sunday night rolls around.
