The inside sauce really reminded me of a Chinese bun we love in Singapore, the liu sha bao or salted egg yolk custard bun. All in all, I highly recommend the chocolate tart for a small but punchy pop of decadence, and it goes perfect to complement with a cup of coffee. Other than that, the peppermint latte was wonderfully decorated according to my peppermint-loving friend (although another said it was definitely on the sweet side). Easter Sunday brunch at the River Crab has been a tradition for my family for many years. But what…read morewe experienced this year, has brought that tradition to a close. Many of the food items that have been on the brunch line were eliminated. Also a family favorite in the past has been the biscuits and gravy. My husband best described the gravy as S.O.S., the stuff that the Army used to serve. Even the coffee was bad. We left with the feeling that there was just no effort put into the brunch. And to add insult to injury, they again raised the price to $60 for adults, and $30 for children. We are now searching for a new restaurant for our Easter brunch.
