To my surprise the closest laundrette happened to be a short walk away, it's crazy how you don't notice something until you actually need it. Anyway, I called up and was able to get my table cloths booked in for a dry clean. The whole process was really simple, walked in, told the lady behind the counter that I needed them clean and then paid. Bish, bash, bosh - job done! Price wise it was really reasonable and they will be rest to collect within 24 hours so if you are in desperate need to get something cleaned, go here!

You can get suits, curtains, bed linens and all the other things under the rainbow that you could possibly want or need dry cleaned. The staff are friendly and helpful, the service is always quick and efficent with no mistakes being reported from anyone I have met who has used this place. It is situated near some nice wee cafés and bistros so it is pretty convenient to drop your stuff in and wait if needs be. There is also some good parking on the Ormeau Road when you need to drop off and pick up. All in all a decent wee service that you won't have any real problems with.

They are a dry cleaners, so I won't patronise you with an explanation of the service. Instead I will say this: the quality of work here is great. I have has school blazers, suits and even duvets cleaned here all to a great standard. They have an other worldly ability to get stains out of things and their services are done quickly and at a reasonable cost, so there isn't too much else to say about them. They have also incorporated more services recently, offering ironing services, shoe repairs and alterations on clothes which is a good thing as it gives you the ability to get more things done here that you previously would have just left undone!

So, if you're a bit useless at those sorts of things, especially the ironing, and have a job interview coming up, get your suit and shirt in here - hanging a washed shirt up until the wrinkles fall out of it doesn't have quite the same effect as it being properly ironed. The only thing I would say is that they could do with being open late one night during the week. The place is called careers and cleaning, but anyone who has a career would be hard pushed to find the time to drop stuff in here and pick it up. It never opens before 9a.m. and is never open past 6p.m., and even that's only two days per week.

I would normally use Marlowe close to a special occasion when I need to look my best and its fair to say my suit has had that distinctive dry cleaner smell on it more than a few times over the last few years! Ive also used their service for cleaning my more heavy duty coats and with the 'pleasure' of living with five cats it certainly comes in handy when I need something cleaned that has acquired a 'furry feel' to it! It really is surprising how much longer you can make a decent pair of leather shoes last if you re-heel them often enough. The city heel bar is fast and convenient if you work in town and need some shoe repair done as soon as possible. They can, if you ask politely enough, fix or re-heel your shoes while you wait. As well as this they are cheap, and compared to buying a new pair of shoes, it is a steal. They have a key cutting service too.
