Worst customer service on the phone. They may be nice but they are not trained well and give out incorrect information. Long hold times and very frustrating to deal with. They know they have a monopoly for internet service because the only other choice in this area is AT&T and they are even worse! DO NOT SIGN UP WITH SPECTRUM. Their technology is extremely outdated, and they charge way too much. I was a customer for five years, with a bundle of TV/Internet/Land Line. They came out with a great offer for just TV/Internet which I wanted to switch to. They said if I dropped my Land Line, they would charge me $30 a month MORE FOR LESS SERVICE. I commented that they didn't want to keep me as a customer. I changed my internet service to a MUCH CHEAPER service, TCSN, they charge me the same price I was paying 12 years ago! I switched to Dish-TV, which is great and has many more features than Spectrum. I am now saving over $60 a month and have much better TV service. SPECTRUM charged me for an ENTIRE MONTH'S SERVICE-$150 because I canceled two days into the month. They DO NOT PRO-RATE their charges like other telephone companies, cable services, internet services, insurance companies and trash service. The customer service person at SPECTRUM SEEMED REALLY HAPPY THAT HE COULD DO THAT! They were about to raise my monthly charges to over $180 A MONTH! BY CHARGING A RETIRED PERSON ON A LIMITED INCOME AN ADDITIONAL $150 ENSURES THAT I WILL NEVER BE THEIR CUSTOMER AGAIN, AND I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW TO NOT USE SPECTRUM. read more

My internet service works well and whenever I call for help their customer service is very polite. I've paid my bill and returned equipment at this location and the counter persons have been exceptionally quick and caring. I would recommend this service since it's taken over Charter. read more

Literally the worst internet unfortunately for San Luis Obispo they are the only internet provider. They have a monopoly in the area. My internet has been out for a week and when I call they can't give me any answers at all when I will service again. They over charge for a horrible service. Why can't Comcast be out here already. read more

Way too expensive for internet only! Close to double what I got at competitor. Shop around if they won't work with you on price.

We had a good experience with Spectrum here in San Luis Obispo. Our repairman, Sagan, spent a lot of time re-doing old connections to improve our service. He problem solved and corrected wiring, and even climbed up a 20 foot pole to refresh the connections. He did not have to do that. He had mentioned that another repairman would come to check it, but five minutes later he was putting on his tool belt and climbing a ladder. Thanks Sagan. You were amazing. We had been struggling for months with poor service. We had returned three boxes with little improvement. Finally our service is working and we are settled again. The worst service ever. My bill is suppose to be 29.99 x 3 and to my surprise my bill is over $100 a month.. Switching over to AT&T next month.
