Don't sign up for Spectrum Mobile. The Samsung phone they send you with their offer costs $10 per month and you end up paying a disgusting amount of money for a Samsung Galaxy A21 phone that is an absolute piece of crap! The phone does these notification sounds out of the blue about nothing, and it's always sending spam messages. It is less sophisticated in its features than a trac phone I used to have. If you have a question about how to find some feature on the phone, it's because if doesn't have it. And you'll wait on hold to customer service for 30 minutes to be told that. read more

Probably the worst customer service I've encountered. While I like getting the Sunday paper for the coupons and crossword, I find little more use for it. Given that many people feel the same way, according to polls, you would think a print newspaper would do whatever it could to remain relevant in the digital age. That should involve, you would think, customer service. A couple of weeks ago, I didn't receive my Sunday paper. Now, back when I subscribed to the LA Times, and later Dallas Morning News, a report of a missed paper was responded to swiftly by sending someone out with a replacement, or crediting your bill. When I reported not receiving The Spectrum... silence. When I reported a couple of days my dismay about their silence... Silence. Two weeks have passed and, even with two reports, I have not heard a peep out of them. They just don't care. Jobs are easy to come by and they're all expecting $15 minimum wage... In all fairness, the "missing" paper was found in my planter. On the day in question, I had walked out my door and halfway down my driveway when I was looking for it, but only when I was leaving for work the next day did I see it. I was not aware that before reporting your paper missing, you should go out to the middle of the street and look back at your house to see if you can spot it. The following week it was nearly as bad--in the planter, but partially visible. Back when I delivered papers with my dad (he took a paper route to make extra money so we could buy our first color TV), if we made a bad throw we went back and porched it. Obviously that's out of the question with the crybaby generation. Most can't be arsed to correct bad parking in a stall. Close is supposed to be good enough, and they deserve a trophy for semi-trying. I only subscribed a month or so ago on a promotion to revisit my crossword habit. While it has been fun and challenging, needless to say, my interest in receiving this paper expires with my promotional rate. There will be no renewal; I don't beg people to take my money. If they don't care about my business, I don't care about the survival of print media. read more

absolute worst customer service ever. When my paper was delivered soaking wet ( when i picked up the paper it fell into several pieces as every page was soaked through) . Customer service refused to have my paper re-delivered as " the delivery window is now closed". They could not tell me what the delivery window times were. When it became evident that they were not going to help me & I asked to speak to a supervisor , I was put on hold for 5 minutes & then was told that a supervisor was not available as they were all busy helping other customers with their problems. Save your time, money & lower your anxiety level by not doing business with this company. They have no clue nor do they care what the meaning of " customer service" is. read more

Very poor customer service. Wait time 35 min to talk to some one. Then had to leave a call back number & waited 1 1/2 hrs to get called back. Online bill pay is the worst I've seen. Won't accept anything other than what they say you owe which is wrong. No way to see account history. I'd cancel it because it's not worth reading or the hassle to pay a bill. On reason keeping it is my wife wants coupons. read more

Signed up in November for .99/month for 3 months of digital only access. Every time I tried to access it, it says I wasn't eligible to access it. Yet my account said active. After trying for 6 weeks, I finally called....4 times to cancel it. They never did. Now they are trying to bill my American Express bluebird refillable card for the normal monthly rate. Luckily I never refilled the card so no money is available. They keep sending me notices to change billing accounts. Yeah right. read more

Back in December I wrote a letter to the editor, but heard back from editor, Melissa Galbraith, that it was too long. We both agreed that Ms. Galbreath should edit my letter and then e-mail me her version for my approval which I did. The night before my letter was to run Ms. Galbreath called me to say my letter would not run. What I discovered later is that someone to which the letter had made reference, but not by name, called Galbreath to tell her not to run my letter. The customer service is the worst I have encountered in any business. Worst part is they really don't care. Two phone calls last week and one email. The only response was to the first one. Called the editors number to complain of no coverage or scheduling of High School girls tennis. Told him I had a list of parents ready to cancel.......his response was to bring the names in and he would take care of it. This paper has become increasingly worse.
