My wife and I just bought our home last September, and we never thought to have checked the plumbing first. So we began to have blockage issues with our main line a few months back and each time we called a plumber they snaked it, but the problem came right back a few weeks later. $550 later we started assuming that we may have a broken main line which we researched on Google could be the problem ( or we thought it might be the companies we called ) not really sure we started calling out different companies to come by and inspect our line. The first place said that we were having blockages due to a broken mainline pipe (just as we suspected) and wanted to charge us $2700 to fix it. My wife and I were blown away!!! After calling a few more places and getting pretty much the same answers we decided to call Joseph and spec home drain services ( Glad we did ). He was available right away. He said that he would come out and inspect our line and give us an estimate (for free!!) Joe showed up on time and got to work. After his line inspection, he told us something completely different than every other place. He showed us on his inspection camera that there was a major offset where our mainline transitions into the city's clay pipe. He offered us a great deal on installing a cleanout and doing the repair all at once and about $1200 cheaper than anyone else. We hired Joseph. He came out the next day dug up our front lawn and did what he had to do and many hours later he was done. He also gave us tips now that we had to clean out how to maintain and get through any blockages (sometimes) with the device you can buy for $20. Got to give props to Joe for coming out to my tenants home on short notice yesterday (Saturday) . So my tenants shower would not stop running on the hot water side and I searched for a plumber on Craigslist and found Joes listing. When I called her answered on the 2nd ring and was by their home within 30 minutes. He shut the water down and called me and said he believed the shower cartridge was bad. So I gave him the go ahead to replace it if that was the problem. Within 5 minutes he called me back and said problem fixed. I called Joe to replace some valves and Install a new washing machine. I am very impressed with Joe's trouble shooting skills and his ability to listen to ideas and provide input and better solutions. He did an excellent job and took him a couple of days to finish the work, due to trouble shooting to make sure that the drain was not clogged and there was no back flow. Joseph is very accommodating, even on a busy Christmas weekend. He responded promptly to our request, and offered VERY competitive rates. We ordered our own garbage disposal unit for him to install, and he had no problem with it unlike some who will only install what they offer.
