My parents recently used this company to move and store their furniture. I am not one to take the time out of my busy schedule to do reviews but I feel this is necessary. My parents are elderly and I feel that they were taken advantage of. They had a representative to come to their home to give them an estimate on moving and storing their furniture for 2 weeks. When their furniture was delivered, they wanted to charge them $3,200 OVER THEIR ESTIMATE!!!! I understand that they were given an estimate and there would be some discrepancies, but I think a difference of over $3,000 is EXTREME. The driver and packer, Eric, was wonderful!!!! However, I would not recommend this company to anyone for their moving services. Also, some of their furniture was badly banged up. They are VERY misleading and dishonest. Do not use this company!!! read more

We used Sparta when we moved last year. We had a piece of wood in which our children's heights were measured on. We explained to the movers this was important and we didn't want it lost. When they got here the piece was not there. We called the office and they said they found it and would transport it with another delivery that was coming our way. We waited and called several more times. They continued to tell us it was on the way but never came. The last time we called they said it was gone and they didn't know where it was! This was a family keepsake and we are devastated. They made no attempt to make any type of reparations! It may be time to involve a lawyer. Save yourself grief and sadness. Don't ever use them!!!!! read more

East Coast Towing

I am Bill from Elizabeth City, NC and I want to give a "High Five, Thumbs Up and a Great Thanks"…read more to East Coast Towing in Wilmington, NC. The two gentlemen Bryan and Dave that helped me were outstanding in their professionalism, repairing my auto in a timely manner and certainly at an affordable price. My 88 Dodge truck right front brake caliber froze and was smoking when I got it off the road. I am 60 yrs old and never been left on the side of the road before. I am 5 hrs away from home and didn't know who to call for repair. I usually do work like this on my own vehicles and I knew what it would of cost me if I did it myself and what honest garages would charge in my area. I have heard stories of people being taken advantage of by repair shops when caught in this situation. I thought about it and decided to call a Auto parts store and ask them who would be the best to call in my situation. I figured these guys know all the auto shops and who was the best. East Coast Towing was recommended. I was on a major hwy with road construction on a Friday afternoon and 4th of July weekend and it's hot. I'm going to guess they arrived within 15-20 minutes after calling. The driver Dave was great and asked where I wanted to be towed. When I called ECT I was speaking to a fella I did not know at the time and he said he could do the repair or get me to another garage to do the repair. I choose to let them do the repair since they were recommended and could get right to it. I could not ask for a better experience in emergency road repair. Every aspect of the interaction between these two guys from the calling, towing, repair, being social and cost was so much better than ever expected. In fact my bill was a hundred less than I expected. My brakes performed as they should on my 5 hr drive home. There are a lot of places that can do this type of work and do a good job, however, I felt these guys really cared about the traveling public and the hardship of breaking down and being left on the side of the road 5 hrs away from home. Thanks for the great service and next time I'm down that way I will stop in just to hopefully to say "Hi". Bill Hurt Elizabeth City, NC 7/2/2016
