Mary's Cleaning Service cleaned my home for a little under 6 months. During that time, the quality…read moreof their work slowly declined. They are paid to complete the job rather than per hour, so they began rushing the job cutting their cleaning time from 3 hours to 1.5 hours. The last time they came to my home, I noticed they missed a number of things - it was as if they had only done half the job. The trash wasn't taken out, the sink wasn't cleaned, they didn't vacuum the rug, and the bathroom was clearly rushed as all the corners of the floor had dust and the toilet was not cleaned. I sent Mary a professional text asking if there was a way we could remedy the situation. She replied with a very confrontational message that they are going to occasionally miss things, and that I'm welcome to find someone else if that doesn't work for me. I didn't know what to say in reply so I didn't reply, and she NEVER CAME BACK TO MY HOME! They also never showed up when they said they were going to. If she said she would be here around 1:30, she would show up at 12:00 or 12:30 which made it really hard to plan for. After she sent that text message, she completely skipped our next appointment, and now it's been a few months and I haven't seen her since. I'm completely shocked by this lack of customer service and the poor quality of their work in the end.

I recently was in need of a one-time cleaning service for my home. I did some research and found…read moreHomemaid Cleaning Service. It had good reviews and was a woman-owned business so I reached out to them. The owner, Brandi, contacted me and asked questions about the job, and I filled her in on my needs. She assured me that they would clean "surfaces top to bottom, side to side, in every nook and cranny". I had two calls with Taylor, my leading cleaner, on the day of service. I was supposed to receive a call at the end of the day to go over what was completed but I never received one. When I went to the house the next day, there were a number of items that hadn't been touched and the house wasn't cleaned per my agreement with Brandi. I shared pictures with Brandi clearly showing that the job wasn't completed. That evening, I was surprised when my credit card was billed for $355 for the job. I still hadn't had a conversation with Brandi. The second day after the cleaning, Brandi called and she told me that I would have to discuss this with Taylor, and she would have Taylor call me. I didn't receive a call that day and spent the weekend waiting for a resolution. On Monday, I received a text from Brandi that Taylor would call me after their morning staff meeting. I didn't receive a call until after Noon. I was receiving three more hours to complete some of the cleaning. Taylor focused on the walls in the kitchen. However, when I got there, I found cleaning solution on the floor, on moldings and walls. I found pieces of sponge on the floor, and ended up spending time cleaning that up. I reached out to Brandi again and still haven't heard from her. I can't express the complete dissatisfaction in the whole experience with Homemaid Cleaning Services. From the slow response time, to lack of communication with me (and between Brandi and Taylor), to the poor cleaning job. Do yourself a favor, and don't call Homemaid.

I hired HomeMaid to come do a one time deep clean of my home. I filled out the application online &…read moredidn't hear anything for a month. They called me the Wednesday before the Monday that was scheduled, to confirm what I wanted cleaned, but I wanted to talk to my husband first before committing to a $200 clean. I was told I needed to make a decision then because I was going to be getting into cancellation fees if not. So I went ahead and said they could come for 4 hours Monday. Come Monday, I couldn't answer my phone and talk for the 30 minutes like they wanted, because I was at work, and from then on it was said to be a miscommunication, that only a few items were cleaned in my home that day, and my husband and I walked into our home still a mess. The floors were not cleaned or mopped, the kitchen table was not even wiped... the bathroom sink was not cleaned out or the mirror even wiped..I could go on!! We were appalled that our house was basically how we left it that morning, bedsides the microwave, kitchen sink, and two toilets looked good. I spoke with Taylor, who did the clean, and the manager Brandi, and the situation was going to try and be fixed. But then I didn't hear back, even after I had reached out via email, and asked for the quoted price to be reduced to better reflect what was actually cleaned. I still never received a reply back, almost a week later, and I've now been charged full price. Just disappointing and we still have a house needing cleaned!! Save yourself the hassle!

Magnificent!!! Let me start off by assuring you, looking elsewhere is a waste of time. Nancy and…read moreher team are not only the best at what they do (literally scrubbing on hands and knees to get dirt and grime out of every crevice), they are professional and kind and trustworthy. Here's my story and how I came to know them as my angels... You know when you look both ways to cross the street, then get hit by an airplane? That's what my life was like when I made the decision to hire Nancy and her team. I was about to move into my new apartment in Grand Rapids and had all my ducks lined in a row. But alas,... life happened... I stopped by the new apartment one day before move in and it was not cleaned after a three year stay from previous tenants. I decided to clean it myself over night. Two hours in I dropped to my knees in tears because I was disgusted and exhausted and angry at how filthy it actually was. I couldn't do this alone. This apartment needed a deep clean and more than my two hands. The next day, I made arrangements to stay in a hotel and called Nancy. She graciously fit me into her schedule at the end of the week (HINT: you need to book her weeks in advance. Her compassion for people(me) and my situation took over and she moved her schedule around to fit me in. #angel) The day comes and she was also surprised at how bad this apartment was. It took her team of three a total of 4 hours to clean my average sized one bedroom apartment. That's 12 HOURS of cleaning!!! She even cut me a small discount despite her having to reschedule other clients and because she felt so bad about my situation. She said that that apartment was her DIRTIEST JOB EVER. Needless to say,... my apartment is now impeccable. It is SO clean. The service and kindness I received from Nancy is unforgettable. She prioritized me. She made me feel like her family, not like a client. She truly cared for my well-being. And as I previously said, the apartment now has white doors and trim again, shiney clean floors, grime- free bathroom and kitchen. I could go on... I am forever grateful for Nancy and I WILL be a returning customer. ***attached are before and afters and some more afters!!!***
