They did a wonderful job responding in short notice and were able to come out next day! They did a good job getting surface dirty/dust through the house and a couple little things like windowsills and vents, however, upon going through the home after they left we noticed the floors weren't really clean, the cabinets weren't wiped, fridge was semi clean, they didn't clean the showers/or it didn't seem so, and there was a residue left from their cleaning products everywhere. Was hoping for the cost they would clean the floors better, and get into spaces more especially since there was nothing in the home in their way. Overall average service if not looking for a deep cleaning. I was able to clean better with my steam mop and scrub brush after they left in areas it didn't seem like they touched, but they did get a lot of dust from fans, windows, and vents.

When I spoke to him, he said he needed to due to increased costs in gasoline and in order to attract and retain staff. While I'm sympathetic to those challenges, I live alone and have a very easy house to clean. It would only take them about an hour to complete the job. The new pricing would have put me at around $1450 a year for once a month cleanings. Being retired and in a fixed income, this has priced me out. I will now either clean myself or go with the multiple options I've now identified on Angie Clean and Care.com at HALF Merry Maids' new charges. I encourage everyone to shop around. Merry Maids is no longer the reasonably priced cleaning service it once was, under the former owner.
