I guess I let too much time lapse because the machine didn't return the card. When I asked for assistance they said they would come right over. But they never came. When I went back in they said "that's your problem, not ours." I asked to speak to the manager and he said the same thing. I can't help think there was an anti-foreigner aspect to the exchange. It's hard to imagine them treating a German so shabbily.
