The latter is a necessary as many stores in Germany do not accept Visa. The Visa Debit in particular is interesting as you can enjoy free cash withdrawals worldwide (save for access fees by the ATM owner that will not be reimbursed, unlike with DKB). Also, no fee for foreign point of sale transactions. Exchange rates applied are the favourable EuroFX rates.
