i live in the village and spend at least 10-20 pounds each day in this shop but its time someone said something about the two ladies that work in the morning. I have never met such miserable staff in my whole life, they are rude and obnoxious to people unless they know them personally,their customer service is unbelievable at times , they treat you as though your commiting the ultimate sin by daring to shop there. This morning was the last straw we waited outside the shop from 7.50 til 8.05 for it to open at 8 but as usual the two ladies wondered up late even though the shop has an 8 o clock opening time.
once we got into the shop around 8.10 we headed for the post office which again opens at 8 supposedly,and we needed to get it at that time before work as we would have no time the rest of the day. The lady whom they say is the manager promptly told us we couldnt get money from the post office as they were just in and had no float ready either in the shop or post office,NO APOLOGY and she never even said give us a couple of minutes she just stood and glared at my wife.
Now if a shop is meant to be open at 8 and the post office it is the managers job to make sure staff are in and the shop is ready for the advertised time not to turn up whenever they please and speak to local customers as though they are something they should stand on.
In stark contrast to these two elderly miserable members of staff who are always like that (ALWAYS) the evening and afternoon staff are very pleasant and helpful and i can only sympathise with them for having such horrible work colleagues.
My advice is never shop here in the morning until the management is changed. read more
