I found three feral cat colonies in the Barcelona area where people were feeding the feral cats. But to the Garden of Cats you can see a bunch of really happy cats just resting on the enormous variety of beds or small shelters. They see so content and peaceful. The tables in front of the cat garden are for eating and drinking. It's fun to just hangout there and see Barcelona at a different pace. The area near is great to explore with many really inexpensive eating places.

This is a very special place--a cat sanctuary. All the cats are adults hoping to be adopted. A…read morevisit costs €6/hour, and the money all goes to the cats--vet bills, etc. a wonderful experience for animal lovers. I would suggest calling ahead to ensure the hours and that the cats are ready to welcome you.
