Spaghetti alla chitarra alle cozze (mussels)

Great Italian food in an small, open seating restaurant with great vibes. Highly recommend!

First place we've been to in this city with water easily accessible!

This quaint little restaurant has amazing food and a homey atmosphere. There is one large farmhouse table in the middle of the room where most people sit. They also have bar seating against the windows so you can people watch as you eat. This place would be great for a big family that wanted to sit at the large table, or for a date if you sit at the bar seating by the windows. I ordered the Arrabiata and it was perfectly spicy. I even added some spice with the chili oil on the table because I told the server not to make it too spicey. I'm kind of a wimp when it comes to spice. My hubby ordered the Creste di gallo con salsiccia Toscana classica. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. The Creste had huge chunks of mushroom, sausage and onion. The tomato sauce tasted so fresh and I loved the olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the table to dip our bread in. This was the only place in Amsterdam that had water already on the table. That is such a welcome treat for thirsty Americans!

I had the #1 (past with spicy red sauce) and boyfriend had #7 (veal).

So yummy!!! We got there right at 5 when they opened and we were glad we did. The place filled up super fast! The inside is cozy and has great soft lighting and atmosphere. As described in other reviews, there is one big community table where you will be seated with other parties. And there are two bar-type seating areas where you can also sit with other people. The service was really fast and the waiter was very nice to help explain the menu. There were about 6 items on the list and 2 were vegetarian. There is a salad option as well. The portions were quite large! I got the first one on the list which was a pasta with red sauce (because I'm a vegetarian) and my boyfriend got the veal dish. Both were amazing! Mine was so tasty and spicy! Yum! We had the tiramisu for dessert and it was wonderful! It was served uniquely in a bowl and was very creamy. Loved it! I would definitely recommend this place to others looking for an option for Italian! Tips: - Arrive early. - Go to the counter to pay for the bill. - If you opt to sit at the bar seating by the window, be aware if you're near the door it may be a little chilly (BUT there is a heater under the table which helps tremendously!)

What a fun out-of-the-way place to drink wine and eat great food. We felt like locals as the tables filled up and we were suddenly among a fun and noisy group of cool people. We love finding places off the beaten path and this is now one our favorites. The pasta was amazing! Get there earlier than 7pm as it fills up fast. We sat outside on a picnic table and were joined by a foursome. The group next to us were constantly greeting friends as they rode by. Hilarious. We'll be back!

This is around the corner from our AirBnb, so of course we had to try it. The owners/staff are sweet, the food is delicious, and the drinks very good. I would definitely go back - and probably will! We enjoyed the limoncello, but it was the Sgroppino that stole the show. Prosecco, limoncello, and lemon sorbetto all blended up into a delicious slushy Italian margarita.

Gluten-free Pasta

I loved the vibe in here. Finally a restaurant with plenty of Gluten-free dishes to choose from. Tonight I enjoyed a wondeful gluten-free pasta mussel dish for dinner. I enjoyed everything about the place, concept is simple, but pleasantly nice. FYI--to parents who bring their kids in here, please try to manage your children. Keep in mind the space is tight in there, so please leave the big toys off the table when people are eating, since we are sharing one big table. However, I look forward to returning back here again soon with Dutchman. I can't believe I just found out they serve gluten free pasta dishes. I would like to thank -Yourlittleblackbook.me for the gluten-free Amsterdam guide. The Service at Spaghetteria was excellent, guys keep up the good work!

Delicious pasta with vongoles!

Don't you feel like cooking today and would like to taste some delicious pasta? Than you definately should try out this place! This place is pretty popular and crowded. There are picknick tables outside. Inside there is a big table where you can eat next to other people if the other places are already full with people. The menu changes sometimes and there are about 8 different pasta to choose from for a good price around 12 euro's!

We had such a great experience here tonight.! We arrived from SF this morning and We wanted to have a nice dinner so we came across this place on yelp and we decided to give it a try. Uff, the food was phenomenal and the guys at the kitchen are so fun and very nice! Even though we didn't have a reservation we decided to stay and wait for around 45 minutes until we got seated but let me just say it was totally worth it! Thank you guys! Great job !

Finding true gluten free food in Amsterdam was more of a challenge than I anticipated. Most places were confused on the word "gluten" itself, so I ended up sick a few times on my trip. This place understands gluten well & made me feel at ease (and full)! The staff was so friendly & helpful every step of the way explaining what to expect from each item as the menu is only in Dutch. I ended up ordering the first item on the menu (if I could spell it, I'd tell you what it is). Basically, it's a spicy spaghetti sauce with penne-ish noodles - so freaking delicious!! Highly recommend giving them a try while you're here.

Called this place to make a reservation, man on the phone hung up telling me that they don't accept Germans. Very nice service. Thank you!

Really good freshly prepared pasta! Average price for a dish is 12 euro. Be early as it can get really crowded!

the spaghetti vongole and the arrabiatta are my favorite ones, with a glass of dry white wine or a moretti beer.

Another very nice Italian place in the little Italy street from Amsterdam…read more Don't expect pizza's here though this is a real kitchen! This very small Italian is always packed. In the open kitchen you can see (and hear!) the chef work his magic. The bread, the starters, the fresh home made pasta's and the secondi's are all amazing. They import a lot from Italy themselves, and you can even but a bottle of olive oil here. The place is full of ferrari signs, foto's of Sophia Loren, etc. It feels like a second home. Great for a nice romantich night out or a double date, maybe not so good if you go with more then 4 people, as the place is very small. Expect to spend about 115 euro for 2 persons incl a bottle of wine. Make sure you reserve a table!

On the outside it doesn't look all too fancy. Inside, the tables are closely arranged; making getting up from your table quite a challenge at times. However the waitress was friendly, and the atmosphere cosy. I had the truffle tagliatelle, which tasted excellent, but sadly wasn't cooked properly; it stuck together. Same goes for the pasta with sausage we had. Maybe the secondi taste better, but I'm not prone to go check them out after this experience. All in all, good service, but for the pricing they might pay a little more attention to the food.
