I came in and the teller told me " If you don't have an account they don't do that ." I'm ok with no. I'm not ok with a curt annoyed response. I live and die by my employees customer service so it really bothers me when I'm treated as a liability and not a possible asset. What a great opportunity for that teller to nicely explain the policy and then call a manager over to say hey we would love to work with your business and get you the change you need because we're so close. Opportunity missed and then how many people will I tell this story to. Create a culture where people feel cared about and the business will come to you.

No wonder why they didn't want me to get my hands on the original document. They said Gmail wasn't delivering their emails so I asked them to mail me it to my P.O. US Bank cashed $8500 of fraudulent checks against my account, overdrawing it by $5000. The…read moresignatures are clearly not mine. I caught the fraud within 30 days. I reported it the instant I was aware of the theft. The checks were stolen out of a closed compartment from my locked car. They say I was negligent, and that's why my claim was denied. I have been a US Bank customer for about 15 years. I've loved US Bank: very friendly, good accounts, until I had the opportunity to interact with their Fraud Department. Worst ever! If you ever get your checks stolen, don't expect anything from US Bank. Here are some of the things they've told me: 1) Keeping checks in your bedroom is negligent. If someone breaks into your bedroom and steals them, you're liable. 2) Keeping checks in your purse is negligent. 3) Keeping checks on a counter in your house is negligent. 4) Keeping checks anywhere except a locked safe in your house is negligent. Of course, nobody outside the fraud department knows these policies (and they aren't written anywhere). I've asked a bunch of US Bank bankers (including some branch managers, and one assistant VP), and they all seem to think keeping checks in your car is fine; in fact some of them do. The Golden Branch Manager said she would have the claim escalated, claimed she did (it was of course denied), and then when I talked to the Fraud Department again, they told me it was never escalated. I guess the frontline staff isn't as nice as I thought either. So $8500 in debt now, I don't like US Bank as much. I wish they'd be as nice when you need them to be as when you're giving them your money.

If you like robocalls trying to sell you insurance, then open an account at On Tap Credit Union…read more I've been with this credit union for over two decades but I'm working on leaving. Here's the reason: They are sending robocalls to their members, trying to get us to buy insurance and other products. Frankly, I expected more from them. They should treat mypersonal information with far more respect. Attempting to monetize me by sending me robocalls is an insult. I called several people and eventually got the VP of marketing, only to be told that it's okay, I never opted out, and other excuses. When companies do that, it means they're either ethically challenged or they are getting desperate. I don't know which it is, but either way, this is not a company I wish to do business with. Just know that your phone will ring with recordings asking you to buy things. If you like that, then open an account.

I joined about 40 years ago and have never had anything but exceptional experiences. I've had multiple car loans, co-signed for loans and a HELOC. Each of these, my expectations were met and beyond. I also want to mention I had made a friend with Beth, who worked the switch board and during a time of upheaval and choas in my life, she could almost always handle my issue herself. She's since retired, but I'm sure passed the torch of excellent customer service. I have moved to California part-time and still can count on my credit Union. I reached out awhile back regarding a lease buyout and immediately was contacted by Pheboe Waters. After a few questions she had to let me know she was unable to help me but.... she explained why and exhibited abundant patience until I understood. I felt very confident in her and just recently reached out directly to her to see what it would take, or if it was possible to secure a personal loan. Again, I was contacted immediately. I want everyone to know my account was funded the same day I made the inquiry. Phoebe was on top of it at every step. No back and forth playing phone tag or forgotten questions. Done deal. Phoebe is a gem and knows her job, I would take care of her. I couldn't be more happy and comfortable knowing this institution really does care.
