Off rip, let me say this visit was amazing. I left feeling so much better than when I checked-in. Having said that, here's what I shared with the spa. I'm a middle-aged woman who lives in Miami, Florida. I've had many, many massages and facials in my life. Nino is hands-down the best masseuse I've ever had. I knew within minutes that he is exceptionally skilled and has a lot of experience. I guessed at least 10 years, probably more like 20. He told me almost 30. As a black and Asian woman, I will say he is true to my every experience with an Asian man. Every Asian man I have ever encountered in my life is absolutely unintentionally racist. During our polite conversation he was floored to learn my mother is Asian. His words were, "Well you shouldn't even say you're Korean." His take, because my skin is brown, and that's all he bothered to notice, I shouldn't claim half of my heritage. As this is always the case in dealing with Asian men in Korean grocery stores, out in Koreatown, CA or anywhere, I wasn't even offended, and the fact that he is so talented kept my disgust at bay. I thought we moved beyond any further racist comments, but he left me with, "Yeah, see, I can't even tell you're Asian" as he handed me my water after my service. I chose not to educate him on his shortcomings and short-sightedness. I know there was no true ill-intent. I have dealt with this my whole life. I know he meant no ill, it's just ignorance, even in a world as diverse as ours. He's extraordinarily talented, but he could use some soft skills training. My facial was with the uber beautiful and surprisingly talented Taylor. I was shocked by her technique because she is so young and has only been practicing for a few years. If I were the spa manager, I'd give her whatever she wants to keep her. She's a shooting star, and she should be working for the biggest names in Hollywood. I trust that when I return she won't be here, she could work anywhere and she could really teach. Taylor is amazing. The spa has almost everything you'd want. It's rather small. The size means it's not as quite as I'm used to. During my massage there were instances of very loud pounding. The rooms are not soundproof. Overall, this was an adequate experience and I look forward to returning. read more

The gym in the spa has good variety of exercise equipment and is night and day to the small hotel gym that is on the other side of the hall open to all hotel guests. If you're looking for a relaxing environment to soak your cares away, this is the place to do it. They have men and women completely separate so I think the spa services are better for a friends outing rather than for couples. There are four different pools with varying temperatures. There is also a sauna and steam room, both of which were great. We took a break from the spa and went out to the pool for a bit, then we returned to finish the day using the spa. I love the spa at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas. It is one of the bigger spas on the strip. The staff is very friendly and professional. The waiting area has coffee and tea options as well as some clean and organic snacks and there is a quiet room where you can lay down and relax or pick up a book while you are enjoying your time there. The locker rooms are nice and big and clean. The lockers are huge so you get enough space to put all of your belongings. The staff is very professional and friendly. The vibe is very relaxing and judgment free. The main pool area has temperature-controlled pools, including a hot pool, a warm pool, and a cold pool. These are more like plunge pools, but there is plenty of room to stretch out and if no one is in the pool with you, you might even be able to swim back-and-forth. The lounge area is also spacious and has plenty of seating. There are also water stations where you can grab infused water and, there are towels at almost every corner. In the same area as the pools, there is a dry sauna and a steam room, and both were very clean and smelled good. While I was enjoying my time in the pool and floating in the pool, I was staring up at the ceiling and noticed that the hotel may need to give the spa ceiling of facelift. You can tell that there is definitely wear and tear and also signs that there is a ton of humidity, I may have even spotted some mold or mold-like spots. That is my only complaint about this place. While I was there, I got an hour long massage by Alicia. Alicia was amazing and really knew how to work in the areas where I had the most tension. I didn't have to tell her much she could just kind of feel her way and get to it. I was so happy with her service that I gave her extra tip, which, by the way, is already included in the price you pay for the service. If you are a guest at the Mandalay Bay hotel and casino, you can enjoy the spa for a nominal fee, and I highly recommend it, especially if you've been outside or need to unwind at a deeper level. Besides the ceiling in the pool area, needing a facelift, I also think the Mandalay Bay could do a little better with the shower products they have available for their guests. I was surprised that the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner, dried me out and did not leave me feeling soft at all. My hair was very frizzy! OK so that is my second complaint!! I recommend this place. If you're looking to unwind on the first day you arrive or prior to your departure, I promise you won't be disappointed. If you're looking for a more cost-effective alternative, you can scroll through my feed and look for a review on another spa off the strip that I also enjoy. Have a relaxing time! Ps. I couldn't take any pictures of the ceiling or the place because phones are not allowed in the spa areas due to privacy concerns. The pool area is bathing suit optional, and of course the areas are gender specific. However, while I was enjoying the pools I did notice three ladies who had their phones out there with them and no one at the spa did anything about it. Rejuvenating experience at Spa Mandalay! While my husband was at a conference, I explored all things Mandalay. After a gym session, I went to inquire about their spa services. Luckily, they had a few slots available for same day treatments, so I purchased a 50 minute custom massage. Pricing increases Friday-Sunday, so I was elated that I received weekday pricing. The spa was exceptionally clean. They have a large steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, and cold plunge area in the center of the spa. They also have infused water stations available for optimal hydration. My massage therapist Wendy was incredible. I don't think I have ever had a dynamic stretch massage, but she did a fantastic job customizing my treatment. Every time we go to Vegas we visit a couple of spas to see which ones are the best. Hadn't tried the Mandalay, but we remember when they were new and were at the top of their game. Visiting this spa, you can tell it was a grand lady in its day. The tiles and the decor in the spa are definitely Roman inspired so it was probably very fancy and posh, but spas are now very minimalist and so this is a little out of date. The service was great and the staff were kind and did a good job making us feel welcome, but there weren't a lot of people here which is probably indicative of how this place's best days are i the past. I was worried because I saw a review saying things were moldy, but that's not true. This place was clean, but just needs updating. There is the problem that the steam room wasn't steamy at all and you couldn't smell eucalyptus or anything, just wet wood and it wasn't hot, but just warm. The dry sauna was super dry, so I'm glad I grabbed one of the last two ice towels to put over my face. I don't think they refilled the ice towels to put bowl though, and there were still five hours left of the spa being open. We spent most of our time in the warm tubs and jumped into the cold plunge every once in a while, which was easy because even though the cold plunge was cold, it was more like going into a cold lake in the summer before the sun comes out, but it wasn't freezing which has an effect of reviving you. The waiting room is the only place you can use the cell phone and it was a nice enough area to wait. They had LaVazza Nespresso type pods and trail mix with raw almonds, dried apricots, and crushed Nature Valley Granola Bars, which was a nice snack. We got a day spa pass, which means that unlike more popular spas, you can actually spend the whole day in the spa if you want, from open to close, while other spa's day pass will only let you hang out for four hours, so that was a big benefit to this spa. We really enjoyed this spa but I'm hoping they'll do a refurb in the future because with updating, this place could shine again. read more

Came here using a ResortPass and it's exactly as sold. The amenities aren't vast but just enough for what I wanted. The tea selection was nice but there was only dry granola and fruit for a snack. A little yogurt or some milk would have been. Nice touch. The robes were massive and fluffy and the women's only / clothing optional area was very spacious. The locker rooms gave a mirror though so from an angle the main pools can see into the locker room it was awkward if you want any privacy just go to the back rooms. All in all a great visit - dinged 1 star for the mirror placements and having to pay for parking on top of the spa pass. read more

I'll be honest, the hotel itself was a bit rundown, but the spa itself, in my opinion, was very nice! My first spa experience ever so nothing to compare it to but it appeared to be very clean to me! The hot top, sauna, and cold plunge was the perfect experience to soothe my body into a perfectly relaxed state and I got my first pedicure ever and the lady was so nice and friendly and the attention to detail was great! The spa itself is beautiful. The check-in and spa staff are wonderful. There's a 25% discount for locals Mon-Thurs. And that's the end of my good. I went for an acrylic fill. The nail tech, Alina, was NOT wearing her mask properly. It was barely over just her mouth. Completely NOT over her nose. No ok!! She did NOT ask if I wanted my nails shorter or a different shape. She did not push or cut my cuticles. Absolutely nothing resembling even slightly a manicure. My gel polish has several holes/dents/mess ups. My thumbs are atrocious! This was literally a $20 fill TOPS. But alas, even with the locals discount, I spent $99 for the slowest, messiest, unsafe (bad mask wearing) service of my life. Avoid nails here at all cost! Horrid job and extremely costly. For $99, I should've had the best fill of my life. NOT some shoddy job where I could've done them myself way better (and in less time). I'm throughly disgusted with results. And, of course, the 20% gratuity is automatic and you pay BEFORE you even get your service. Never again. I feel like I got seriously scammed. I've been coming here for a couple of Vegas visits and every time I've had a wonderful and relaxing experience. If you stay at the Mandalay, there is an easy access to the spa from your hotel room by using the elevator. It drops you off right in front of the spa's entrance, which is super convenient. Don't have to walk across the casino floor to reach the spa like other resorts I've stayed at. I always opt for the 50 minute massage and every time I receive one, the masseuse knows just the right amount of pressure to use without even telling her. It's like she feels how tense your back is and her intuition guides her on how much pressure she needs to apply. I love that this spa has a stream room and sauna. The steam room has a cooling shower in them in case it gets too hot for your liking. The sauna sometimes doesn't shoot out heat. If that happens, just let one of the staff members know and they will adjust that for you. The hot tub is wide and 2 sided. I like the fact that there are mini waterfalls on each side you can sit up against where there are jets so that your entire back gets water pressure and feels as if you are continuing your massage. They also have a polar plunge pool which is really nice to have right beside the hot tub. There is no need to bring essentials because they provide everything you need to walk out of there feeling fresh and smelling good. The staff is friendly, polite, and helpful. The entire time I was there, I seen them cleaning and sanitizing areas and making sure water and ice is fully stocked. My 50 minute massage cost a little less than $200 including a 20% tip. There are other services on the menu that adds up to be more but I find it's reasonably priced than other spas on The Strip. Overall it's a good spa. I will definitely be coming back here again in my next Vegas getaway. read more

Very nice and relaxing place for a mani/pedi. They do other things of course, but I only had time for the basics. You can get a discount using MyVEGAS, but note that you have to stop at the MLife desk first, even though when you make your appointment, the person answering the phone at the spa might now be clear on how it all works. Tip is added in. I don't mind that. The service was very good. I wasn't invited to linger but I'm guessing if you book more than a nail service, you are. Overall, it was a damn good pedicure, but it was also a very expensive pedicure. Of course, this is a spa in Vegas. But don't go thinking you can just book a nail appointment and get run of the place. They even have a seperate tiny bathroom for those of us just doing nails. Stayed at the Mandalay Bay for my birthday, my boyfriend surprised me with a spa day. I had a 50 minute massage with the AMAZING masseuse, Heather. I wish it was two hours though lol her hands were amazing, and the price they charge is completely reasonable for the work that is done. She had found a whole mess in my back and found the exact spot without even touching it so I don't get hurt because she noticed the change in my breathing and such. Then focused on releasing the tension and relaxing me. Which most places do not notice or care they just want to do the routine. She had applied to CBD pain relief and a hot stone. She just knew exactly what I needed if I could go back every day. I'd completely would. The pools were amazing very, very clean. Same thing with the steam room and the sauna very clean areas. Super relaxing not too many people at all at 11 AM. Seen only 4-5 women max. They had razors, body lotion, shower caps provided in the bathroom with your showers. They had cucumber or lemon mint refreshment scattered throughout the spa so you don't have to walk all the way back to the front but did offer bananas and green apples as delicious healthy snacks. Plenty of towels & water bottles are provided. The robes were so soft. I wish I could take it home! Will definitely be returning. I didn't take many pictures of the inside because you're not supposed to have your phone on, but I have to get a picture of a cute little robe. Thank you, Mandalay. I'll be returning 100%. read more

***Review for only the day pass*** Typically on my last day in Vegas I go for a spa day to rest my feet, liver, and mind. This time I wanted to try a new spa. Based on reviews pretty much everywhere, Spa Mandalay seemed like the place to go. Located on the first floor of the hotel, Spa Mandalay, as soon as you walk inside makes you feel extremely calm and ready to relax. Because of the time of year, it was full of pumpkin scents which I wasn't mad at. Since I wasn't staying there, a day pass was $50 for all day and gives you in and out privileges. Upon entry you're given a tour if you've never been inside and shown to your locker. Tip- bring your own flip flops. They give you a pair, but they weren't comfortable and imagine how many people have worn them? Each locker has a robe. The brand is ever sun and is the best robe I've ever used. I've been Googling where to find one ever since. No phones are permitted in public areas so you'll have to check your messages privately somewhere if you need to be in touch with someone. The spa hosts a huge pool area which has a cold dip pool, a warm and hot pools. I was pretty impressed with the pool(s) to be honest. there is. sauna which was a large sauna. Much larger than the one I typically use at the Luxor. The steam room was huge, dark and actually full of steam, but without being so overwhelming that you can't spend much time inside. You could tell that the spa was old as there was wear and tear on the walls and some mold build up in areas. The staff did their best to clean up towels and cups from patrons too lazy to clean up after themselves. They also have shower amenities there; shaving cream, lotions, gel, etc so you're ready to hit the strip running once you leave. Overall I liked my afternoon there. It was worth the money for sure. I felt relaxed and my feet were a little less sore. Definitely ready to come back on my next visit to Sin City. read more

Spent an afternoon at Spa Mandalay. I got an Expecting Mother's massage and a pedicure. I rarely go to spas but this was a great experience for the most part, everything felt very fancy and I felt very pampered. When you arrive, you check in and they give you a tour of the spa and set you up with sandals, a robe, and a locker. The massage was first and it was excellent, the therapist was very professional and asked me often if I was doing okay and if the pressure was good. After the massage I had a pedicure and it was the most disappointing part. They have a limited color selection and it was a very simple pedicure, I realize you can pay more for different treatments with different products but for 85$ I have had much better pedicures in nail salon. Do not get a pedicure if you want to spend time in the soaking pools. They have several different ones, warm and cool and the option to get in the saltwater pool. If you do get a pedicure you have to wait 45 mins to an hour before you can enter the pools. The pool area is super quiet and relaxing, a great place to chill out and read a book or just hang out. There's a Sauna as well. I was there on a weekday and it was not crowded, hardly anyone there which was perfect and so quiet. I would go back and get another massage. If you do pay for a service you get access to the spa common areas for the whole day which is very nice! read more

This past weekend we had spa reservations. Here are just a few notes on updates now that the spa is fully open. - There is no more hot tea or fruit. Throughout the spa there are 8 oz water bottles and granola bars at the front counter - gratuity is automatically added when you pay for your service before entering the spa service $150 and automatic gratuity $30 - amenities in the salon are scarce and outdated there was only one blow dryer and there were no attachments - they didn't have other items like q-tips or hair ties for guests My service was great! Not bad, the service is what really saved it. I booked an appointment with Luxor spa. I called the Luxor number, choose a service from the luxor service menu, asked for luxor directions. What happened? well apparently Luxor & Spa Mandalay use the same number and have identical services. My appointment was made for Spa Mandalay. I wasn't told this until I was Luxor Nature spa. I then had to walk to Spa Mandalay and was told if I was late "it would cut into my time" also I couldn't cancel as I was within the 4 hour window. Pretty frustrating. However, the staff was kind and pushed my appointment back, however I was still getting an appointment at a Spa and a time I didn't want. (just saying). The check-in was easy and the staff was very welcoming. The spa however was a bit dated, it didn't feel very elevated and the water pressure in the showers was very very low. Also the lockers felt so old and outdated. There was also no fresh food like you can find in Wynn, Qua, or Canyon. The massage itself was good and made me feel relaxed. However, that being said. I think I'm going to stay with the other spas instead. I'm glad I tried it, maybe I will again in a couple of years once improvements are made. read more

My massage here was great. However when I got my eyebrows waxed the esthetician knicked me so now I have 3 large red marks near my eye. The whole purpose of getting my brows done is for a wedding but now I have to try to hide the red marks. Staff is nice enough but massage therapist and esthetician seemed to want extra gratuity besides the already mandatory 20% they charge you. They charged us before we even got our services which I thought was strange. Good luck trying to get anyone on the phone here if you need to change your reservation. I have been going to Nick Miller at the Salon at Mandalay for a while now. I have always had difficulty finding a stylist that can work with my hair. My normally fine and limp hair looks beautiful and full. He is a master at color and the blending makes my hair look so much thicker. Nick is a miracle worker! Treated myself to a birthday massage. The total came out to ~$200 which includes a service charge. Definitely a splurge but I was happy I could also access their spa. Aroma Therapy Massage 50 minutes - Cici was the masseuse. She made me feel very comfortable and she really got the knots out around my shoulders. I didn't really keep time if it was 50 minutes since no phones are allowed. I really made it worth it by lounging in the rest area where there's couches, tv, snacks, drinks. I didn't even plan to take a shower but I did anyways since hair appliances were provided. My only comment is there's only one flat iron. I had to wait 25 minutes for another person to be done using it and it only made sense why it took so long since the iron was 5 uses away from breaking. read more

Overall we had a fabulous experience at Spa Mandalay. We had pedicures scheduled for the same time - 9:00 am - when they opened. This was for my birthday. We checked in before 8:45 am and waited to be brought back. The only down-side was that we had pedicures scheduled at the exact same time as two other guests and the Spa decided to place them together at the middle pedicure seats so my Mother and I were not able to talk at all. We literally sat at opposite ends of the pedicure stations until the service was done. I feel like better planning by Mandalay Bay could have avoided this. The two guests who were traveling together could have been placed together in two chairs side by side and then we could have also been together. read more

I have been coming to Mandalay Bay Resort since they opened. We visit Vegas at least 3 times a year. Each time we visit the spa at least one day. This place used to be nice. We could come relax and have lunch and enjoy the hot tubs but things have changed drastically. My SIL and I tried to make appointments for facials. We figured we'd do it at the same time so we could enjoy our time together visiting and chilling. Well, that's not possible any longer since they only have one girl doing facials. I had to get a massage so we could be having our treatments at the same time. The spa was dead, unkept, and in desperate need of a facelift. There was lots of water on the deck by the hot tubs and one woman slipped and hurt herself on the deck. Mandalay police had to come and take photos and make a report. It was very invasive when we're by the spa, some of us in swim suits, some naked. We asked if we could order lunch and they said they don't allow us to eat there any longer. We could only order food if we would go eat it in the hall!! In. The. Hall!! Really!? Ok, can we order a mimosa? No. Ok, I'm done. We got dressed and went to Citizen to have lunch. We got the rest of our cocktails to go back to the spa. As we walked in they said we couldn't take our cocktails back in! When we got back to the locker room after an hour and a half all of the towels and spa shoes that were hanging around were STILL in the same spot! Nobody had been through to tidy the locker room in all that time! Don't waste your time trying to relax here. It's not clean and there's no longer any hint of luxury or relaxation. The only reason this review got two stars is because the esthetician did a good job on my SIL. The grumpy girl that hands out the spa shoes and locker keys is totally over this place too. She said she knew this place has gone downhill. I just saw that MGM has sold Mandalay Bay to Blackstone. I sure hope they can turn this place around. If not, tear it down. We will never again choose this casino. Not because of the spa but the entire resort is dead. They've removed SO MANY of the slot machines, the ones they kept do not pay out, they dealers are bored and grumpy. Just so disappointed. read more
