I work super close by & saw the sign that they were under new management. So I thought I'd give them a try since my usual spot was booked. I got a no chip manicure & the nail tech I had was extremely friendly & very precise. She took her time with the manicure & they even cleaned my rings while I was getting it done! The place was extremely clean as well & every tool she used was fresh out of the packaging. I waited a week to write the review & attach pics of nails. So far so good & I am very hard on my hands. I think I just found my new nail salon. This was very relaxing and salon was catering to my needs. They took their time helping me chose a color, gave green tea, and warm water bag soak (im not sure how to explain it but have seen that done in other salons marvelous)! At first i was a little sad that there wasn't a massage chair at the pedicure station. But as i was waiting for my nails to dry the lady gave me a shoulder massage for free!!! Spa Avenue is my go-to salon for no-chip manicures and spa pedicures after I found them on Groupon. They always do an amazing job, each time I've gotten my nails done they last 3+ weeks with zero chipping or lift off. The manicurist always makes sure you like the shape and color before proceeding and genuinely cares that you love the final product. The space itself is small, quiet and modestly decorated. They play soothing music and offer good specials and rewards. Even though I live on the south side of the city, I always make the trip to Lakeview for my nails! read more

I wasn't planning to write a review but the nail tech used the same tools that she used on my manicure on a pedicure without sanitizing. They also didn't follow the correct steps for my dazzle dry manicure. It's been 24 hours and my nails are already chipped and lumpy. I won't be back based on the manicure alone but that was incredibly unsanitary and gross. They didn't clean much while I was there or after the other patron left. Even before COVID hit the salon was always clean and organized. Their prices are affordable too ($30 no chip manis on Wednesdays!!). I moved into the neighborhood in August 2020, during COVID times. I went to the salon after a stressful move and was so impressed with them I've been a loyal customer ever since! They are extremely skilled, careful, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Plus, they are taking all the necessary covid precautions, I feel very safe going to get a manicure and pedicure. 20/10 I recommend this place to everyone I meet. Came to this location for the first time. Love the modern and comfy decor. Also, it was so quiet and peaceful in there. They have a ton of colors, but wish they had a bit more selection to my taste. Nail tech was kind, extremely gentle. I like that everything feels clean and updated. She took great care and attention to everything being perfect which made me feel like a priority, but the downside was that it was a bit slow. I didnt mind since I didnt have anywhere to go. I came here for a no-chip manicure and pedicure after reading great reviews on yelp. The service itself was decently good. The lady who did my hands and toes did a great job. Except she never introduced herself or really talked to me during my appointment. Almost like she seemed annoyed. After my nails were done, I went to pay and was told my total was $95. To say I was shocked is an understatement. The website were I booked said a no-chip manicure and pedicure package is $75 so that's what I expected to pay. I did have dip nail polish on which she took off. However, no where on the website does it say they charge for that if you are getting another service nor did the lady ever mention that during my appointment. To charge $20 for that and not ever communicate to the client is incredibly frustrating. Any other nail salon i've been to has included dip or no-chip nail polish removal in the manicure price if getting another no-chip or dip manicure. So that say I paid $95 for a basic no-chip manicure and pedicure plus additional tip is very expensive. So I don't think I'll be going back! read more

From the location, the ambiance, the people, the prices, and most importantly the quality of work that I get done every time make this THE place to have your nails done. Then I stopped getting my nails done because I lost interest and started biting my nails again, but went back a year later and they really as good of a job the first time around. 10/10, the experience is luxurious and intimate. Absolutely love this place! I am really picky with my nail salons and have not found one in my years of going that I really liked. This is a cute little hole in the wall that I would've never thought of stopping in, but so glad I did!!
