Our first time at a casino spa and my fiance's first time at a spa period and we loved it! Had a great gift certificate from costco for two massages, two nights, and two days of breakfast for both of us and for that it was worth it. The person who greeted us was very nice and professional and the facilities was wonderful if small. We loved all of the different rooms and the complimentary water and snacks. I have been to MANY resort spas, and the Atlantis Spa does not disappoint! Beautiful decor, calming atmosphere, with several small relaxation rooms each with a different theme are sure to please. I had a 60 min aromotherapy massage and it was AWESOME!! I have had 3 massages at the Atlantis BEFORE the renovation, but this was the ultimate. After escalating my complaint to the highest management of the spa, someone called in more practitioners and got us spa services. The arnica hot towel and stone massage was great! Too bad I had to go to such lengths, but it worked out. As for the rest of the casino, the slots were loose, maybe due to the extremely noisy jackhammers remodeling of the buffet, but because I was winning, I had the most fun casino experience I ever had. I won "big" on 4 different penny machines, raked in about $500 total winnings, then spent two hours spending $120 for chips learning Texas Hold'em poker at the table with real people and had a total blast. read more

I just got back from this spa about 4-5 days ago for my 3 year anniversary with my boyfriend, and I'd have to say this spa is just ok. My boyfriend and I received a Swedish couples message the first day and the second day we did the Terra Sigillata Rasul Ceremony. The Swedish massage that I had was Horrible in my opinion. To start off the lady who did my message didn't even introduce herself. Then once we got to the room where she and the other lady who messaged my boyfriend to us they explained what we needed to do take of clothes and how the message process works. Prior to my message the lady asked me what areas I would liked worked on the most I told her my shoulder (she spent about 5-10 mins at most on that area.) I know a swedish message is not a deep tissue message, but the amount of pressure she didn't put was insane. I didn't feel any relief so I asked her if she could apply more pressure and she never did. I was getting more frustrated then relaxed. Not only that I feel like she invaded private areas a little to much. I have had my fair share of messages and have never had someone message my breast and butt the way she did. I also think she over exposed me the way she draped the blankets over me. For the price of the message I don't think I should have had these problems. With all this being said my boyfriend said he really loved his message and felt the lady was very professional. She actually even talked to me and made me feel more comfortable then the lady who messaged me. As for the The Rasul Ceremony it was an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend it to any couple. I have no complaints there. All of the relaxation rooms they offer are pretty cool to you can almost fall asleep in any of them and feel instantly relaxed. Every room was always stocked with the things needed for that room, so that was nice. I also loved all the different flavored waters they had all around the spa. All of the other employees who walked around to accommodate the guest were extremely nice and very attentive. The only thing is this place is a little to pricey in my opinion. For my Birthday my sister and I booked a spa pedicure at the Atlantis Reno. We arrived early for our 2:15 appointments and were able to relax and enjoy the spa amenities while we waited. The Brine Room is spectacular, as well as the experimental shower. We patiently waited before we were picked up by our cosmologists picked us up. Danielle and Jamie took us to the salon with our friend so we can continue to relax together. Danielle was hilarious. She explained everything she was doing and gave me information on the scrubs and nail polishes. I can't stress how fun it was. Danielle let me choose my pick of teas and sweetener. When the pedicure began, she set the chair and got the water prepped to my "borderline boiling" standard and had at it. It was terrific, and time flew by as we chatted as a Grapefruit scrub thoroughly exfoliated my skin. It was so great. I really can't stress how worth it the pedicure was, and being with Danielle made it even better. read more

My best friend lives in Winnemucca and I live in Sacramento, so Reno is a nice half-way meeting spot for us so we always plan a spa day at Spa Atlantis. I've been there a few other times and have never had a bad experience. The spa staff are so professional, friendly and helpful. This past time I had a Swedish massage with Tara and it was amazing. I visited the Spa Atlantis while on a business trip, a day before the Thanksgiving holiday. I only purchased the day spa package ($45) but had free reign of the men's area and co-ed area. Men's area: showers, great array of bath and shaving products, steam room, changing room, dry cedar sauna and relaxing room with fruit, teas, water, etc. The co-ed area: experience showers, hot-hot tub, mild hot tub, cold plunge, brining room, a "warm room" which was very relaxing - in between a steam room and sauna. When I walked into the co-ed hot tub / cold plunge pool area I took my iPhone out and snapped a pic to send back to my partner at home. I was really impressed with the facility and just wanted to show off how beautiful it was. Boy, I was no sooner putting my iPhone away when a gentlemen employee came barging through the doors yelling, "Photography is not allowed here! It's in the rules!!!". Well alrighty then. Yes, my secret, dastardly plan was revealed! I had planned on running back home to re-create this spa and take all the credit. Whatever...they guy was kind of a jerk (mid-twenties, dark hair) and I later realized he was spending all of his time chatting up the young lady who sat outside the men's and women's locker room at that desk. At one point, when I was walking past wanted to ask, "Really? So you're paid hourly to sit around and gossip about your staff and the guests?" Really unprofessional. Other than that experience (he was awful at keeping up the men's locker room too), I had a good experience. Will be going to the Peppermill Tuscan Spa next week and looking forward to as good of or even better experience. read more

Let me just start of by saying the Atlantis Spa exceeded my expectations. My fiance and I had spa day passes which allowed us to explore the many relaxing rooms. However before we spent the day together we spent time in our seperate locker rooms which provided snacks a variety of drinks and extra beauty items. We both agreed one of our favorite things about the spa were the hot and dry saunas. The robes provided i seriously wanted to take home they were so plush! At the end of the day we left relaxed and happy. We plan on visiting the spa many more times in the future. read more

This review is purely based on my experience with purchasing a gift card, not on any actual spa services. During the holidays, I called to purchase a spa gift card for a co-worker, and asked that it be mailed to me. I called them 6 days in advance of when I needed the gift card to arrive and was told I should receive it in 1-2 days. Well I waited and waited, and no gift card. So I called to see what the hang up was, and they didn't even have a record of me purchasing the gift card, even though it had already posted to my credit card. We went back and forth, them telling me a manger would look into it and call me back, but no one actually calling me back, to me calling again, and so on and so forth. So finally, they discovered that for whatever reason, the spa didn't do the actual transaction, but instead had transferred it to the gift shop to handle, which to this day, could not be explained to me as to why they did this. So while trying to save time by ordering a gift card over the phone and have it mailed to my house, I ended up wasting so much more time, from phone conversations to having to go down there twice (between my husband and I), in order to pick up a new gift card. My husband originally went in to pick up the gift card, but they said he'd have to come back when a manager was there (he went at 6pm after work). So I went in the next night, and the situation still wasn't handled. I didn't have the time or patience to wait for them to figure it out (one employee said he had to call IT because the balance wasn't transferring correctly..?), but at this point needed the gift card for the gift exchange the following day, so I just purchased another gift card and asked that they follow-up with the gift shop manager and credit me for the original gift card purchase. The manager of the gift shop was awesome, and handled the situation with extreme professionalism. My credit card was credited the original amount thanks to him. He is the only reason this spa is getting 3 stars from me. I've never been in for a spa service, but after the incompetence I dealt with of just trying to purchase a gift card, I don't trust them to do anything else. I'll be visiting the Peppermill Spa instead. read more

If you are looking for a beautiful, relaxing, and all around renewing experience, the Spa at Atlantis Casino is the place to go. Atlantis Casino Spa and Resort located in Reno, Nevada has one of the most glorious facilities on the west coast. Located right off the freeway, makes it easy to get to regardless of where you are coming from. With it being placed on the third floor, you can easily forget that you are in a smoke filled casino. Immediate tranquility can be felt when you step off the elevator into the world of rejuvenation. Atlantis Casino built their spa in 2003 and then remodeled it in 2009 creating even more space for every guest. There are multiple lounges to spend the day in, in and out all day access, and dining available to you from the pool deck. I have been coming to this spa frequently since 2014, and love it more and more each time. My first treatment was a simple massage, but my experience was so delightful I had to keep coming back. I now have received multiple massages, facials, body scrubs, body wraps, and other treatments. Each of the treatments I have had I would absolutely recommend anyone to try. From start to finish the experience is one for the books. Before I even got to the spa I had to call to book an appointment, being one of the best spas in Nevada they book up fairly quickly. The girl on the phone was so nice and patient as she went over multiple different treatments with me and how each of them would benefit my body. Having a copious amount of treatment options can be beneficial because no one person is looking for exactly the same thing. Having the different options appeals to everyone instead of a small subset of people. I love that I could recommend the spa to anyone and there would be something for them to enjoy on the treatment menu. Upon walking into the reception area on the day of my treatment each staff member had a smile on their face and are on their feet to greet you. The professionalism that they have cannot be compared to any other spa I have been to. Checking in was a quick and easy process and the perfect way to start my day of relaxation. After being set up with a robe, a pair of spa slippers, and a locker I could officially lounge around. The locker room attendant was incredibly helpful and hard at work but constantly wore a smile. I was sipping warm tea in the tea lounge when my provider came to get me for my treatment. She was so warm and gentle whispering my name as to not disturb the other guests. It was the best massage I have ever received and the therapist made sure I was comfortable the whole time. The environment of the spa was so calm and peaceful. Every guest gets informed upon check in that all areas past reception are quiet areas meaning no loud talking and no cell phones or other technology. It was so nice to sit in a quiet room with no distractions. Having a no technology rule not only made it so other people weren't bothering me on their phones but also so that I was forced to stay off of my phone and jump into a full state of harmony. At Spa Atlantis there were multiple areas of relaxation to enjoy before and after a treatment. Inside the locker area is the tea lounge, sauna, and steam room. The tea lounge was a wonderful place to wind down before your treatment with healthy snacks and beverages. Outside of the locker room are three separate co-ed lounges; the laconium lounge, aqua lounge, and brine inhalation therapy room. The laconium lounge, similar to a dry sauna, gets heated to 108 degrees and has benches that are constructed to help relax the spine. Down the hall the aqua lounge can be found with two hot jacuzzi pools and cold plunge pool, meant to help with circulation and joint or muscle soreness. In the brine inhalation therapy room rests a brine sea salt waterfall. This particular room helps improve breathing and lung function. The lights are also dimmed creating a wonderful place to drift off. Most other spas do not have co-ed areas, or only have one room. This unfortunately means that if you come with a significant other you don't get to spend time with them. The Atlantis Spa having not just one, but three lounges that are co-ed makes it so guests can enjoy their time together. Each lounge was very clean seeing as the attendants were often picking up after guests. There were never cups left out, towels left unattended, or stray spa slippers. Because the area was always clean it helped me to stay in my deep state of bliss. This truly made it feel like it was a get away from the real world where I had nothing to worry about and nothing to do. With there being multiple places to lounge around there was always something to do. It never felt overcrowded or got too rambunctious. Especially in the locker room. When the receptionists bring guests back they place them a few lockers apart so that they were not super close to each other when changing into their bathing suits or throwing on their spa robes. Treatment was 5 star but minus 1 star for the check in process and changing area. When I arrived there were 2 groups of women- 5 and 3. They took all 9 of us back at the same time. The locker area is not built for that many women to undress at the same time. Then the seating area where you wait to be called only has 5 chairs (not to mention the yacking I had to listen to before being called for my treatment). Not very spa like at all. My treatment however was fabulous and relaxing (until I returned to the over crowded locker room.) Oh yeah and the attendant who took us all back did not explain how to set the code on the lockers and did not ensure that we all had robes. Again treatment great! read more

My husband (kinda) surprised me with a Spa Mani/Pedi (he told me about it the night before) for my birthday. He let me know that the Manicure would be at the salon but then I would be moved to the spa for the pedicure in a special suite and then I would have access to the spa for the rest of the day. I got there early and enjoyed the brine room (which is amazing) and then was called up for my manicure. The manicure was about a half hour worth of the woman asking me questions and then cutting me off to tell her own story, there was barely a hand massage and my nail polish is already chipping and peeling (I'm typing this the very next day). I did not think much of the crappy manicure as I was way more exciting to have a luxury spa pedicure. Well that didn't happen. Instead of moving down to the spa and getting my own pedicure suite (like the Spa Menu advertises and as it was told to my husband) I was simply moved two seats over to a normal, everyday pedi chair in the back of the salon, so all I could hear was the chattering and gossiping of every staff person and client in the salon. I was facing a huge window that faced the pool and got to watch children fighting over who got to jump in first and the same lady who did my not so great manicure was also doing my pedicure. I inquired about moving to the other room and she looked at me like I was crazy and then just went on with her story of her cheating boyfriend. The menu claims that the pedicure should be 50 minutes long, and it was, however 20 minutes was me sitting listening to gossip while my feet were in parafin and my Nail lady was nowhere to be found. When she did come back there was about a 1 minute massage on each leg. wooohooo! It was so disappointing that instead of enjoying so more spa time I left. When the Host asked me how everything went and i told them "not great" they quickly changed the subject. Needless to say I could have gotten this treatment ANYWHERE and not had to pay the HEFTY price that is attached to the "spa". I have had massages here before and they have always been fantastic but I will not go the Mani/pedi route again and would not recommend it to anyone else. read more

I can only give this spa a 3 now. On previous visits, I would have rated it a five. The massage was a 10, however, they have down graded their products in the women's vanity area and their spa snacks are comparable to the dollar stores. One major problem!!!!! They are no longer keeping their infused waters cold and reusing the fruit. When I took a drink at the gym area, the water was fermented and warm and I almost puked. When I informed an employee of this, I saw him bringing back more water to pour into the SAME CONTAINER!!! Really Gross. I think Atlantis can afford some ice!!!!! Also they need signs when entering the Brine room that its a quiet place. Not a place for morons to be gossiping so loud, the whole world can hear. Make no mistake. I am not a spa kind of guy but I have now been here twice. At Christmas we did The Terra Sigillata Rasul Ceremony mud treatment. It was really great....messy, fun and intimate. We also enjoyed the Laconium Relaxation Lounge (hot room, 104 but very pleasant), the Brine Inhalation Therapy Room (cool temp, dark, lay on a lounger with a blanket) and the hot tub area. Its was a very relaxing and enjoyable evening. Just this week I purchased a day pass to join my friend who was receiving a massage/skin treatment of some kind. On Tuesdays locals receive 15% off. $51 well spent. To me, this is a great price to enjoy what the day pass has to offer. Once again we enjoyed the Brine room, the Laconium room, the hot tub and the very warm indoor swimming pool. They have plenty of flavored waters and a recipe card you can take to make it yourself. The locker rooms are very nice and clean. Front desk staff (not all) seem a bit arrogant and almost bothered when you are standing there, while the spa staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I have had two very enjoyable days both times and definitely look forward to my next visit. read more

Not too impressed with the spa treatment. We extended our stay here by a day just for the spa. I took a cleopatra milk and honey body wrap spa treatment. It was definitely not worth the money. WOW...what a great spa....the spa was amazing- I could have spent 2 days here. A friend lives in Reno & said she wanted to go...we had the Swedish massage....OMG the best massage I have had in ages!!! The rooms & massage bed were great, mood lighting, a massage bed that moves in multiple ways...all you have to do is enjoy. The salt room, steam room, hot room and relaxing pools were great. I loved this spa & will definatly be going back!!!! If you live in the area...show the staff your i.d. as Reno patrons get a few midweek perks. I found their prices to be excellent and their services top notch. For $60 you can spend the day in the spa...for $100 you can get a massage & spend the day in the spa. read more

I had initially booked a hair appointment at the property I was staying, but received a call shortly before the trip letting me know that the hair stylist at that property had quit. I immediately looked up Atlantis and booking the appointment was a breeze. I scheduled an 8:00 am blowout and style. My stylist was Leah. She did a wonderful oil massage on my head first, followed by a wash, a beautiful blow out and a wonderful backcomb bouffant-esque style. I was thrilled with the job that Leah did and wanted to book her for the following day, but she was full. When I visit Reno again, I will most certainly, bypass the property we stay at and go straight for Leah at Atlantis for my hair styling needs! read more

I can't believe the kind of people you guys put on reservations. We live in San Francisco and every time we go to Reno we stay over Atlantic. I am disappointed with the reservation customer service. I understand you are booked out for the 4th of July weekend which is our weekend anniversary. The persona the was on the other side of the line has no clue how to engage a conversation, I don't know if they are having a bad, shit day or whatever but please you are representing your company over the phone and giving those first time customers the first impression. He showed kindness and motivation to help. I totally loved staying over this hotel but I think they have to work really hard on their customer service and staff training to better assist customers and bringing you more revenue. I belong on the hotel and restaurant industry- I deal with my team and my customers everyday and as much busy we get we always show professionalism and uniqueness in our brand to better assist the our guests. I will definitely call back and cancel our August reservations for the car show... One star is to much for you, I wish yelp will have a quarter star for this review. My sister and I have previously made our annual spa visit to the Peppermill but this year we thought we would give the Atlantis a try and I'll tell you what! We had the best spa ever at The Atlantis Spa!! The treatment we both had was the Lomi Lomi and that was fantastic...90 minutes of heaven! The treatment options, the nap room (warm blankets, low lights, brine atmosphere...heaven after a massage) , the lavender infused steam room (just wonderful for your skin and to purify) , jacuzzi (hot but not blazing hot), pool (atrium with lots of seating) these were just a few of the things we experienced and there are more! We ordered lunch by the pool and it was priced reasonable and the food was very good. The staff was top notch too! We will be back and are passing the word!! read more

It was my birthday and my husband and I usually go to the Peppermill Spa but wanted to try out the facility at Atlantis. The only availability they had was the 30 minute massage so he booked it. We arrived a couple hours early before our massage to give us time to check out the facility and i must say i was impressed!! all the different spa rooms where great! plenty hydration all around and they even had snacks! The one thing that disappointed me the most was my massage this would have gotten 4-5 stars but my massage was not that great, right afterwards i i was sore on my left side. I have had a few massages in my life and i know that this is not the feeling i am suppose to have. The person that gave me the massage pushed against my back shoulder causing me to be sore for a few days now, it could not be touched because it felt bruised. it's finally feeling normal and its been 4 days (massage date 8/23/15) I am not sure how they train there masseuses but my husband was sore as well on his lower vertebrae. great for locals who need a nice relaxing day away from stress!!! My wife and I live in the Reno area and recently enjoyed a 'couples massage' and several hours in the spa (birthday present for her). This is one of the best (if not THE best!) spas we've ever been to. Many different areas to enjoy as a couple...brine room, dry heat, aqua lounge, plus you have access to the excercise room and regular hotel pool area and outside areas. The place was amazing and the time went too quickly. The massages were good...both my wife and I commented afterwards that the massage therapists were very good. as of the writing of this review, we also received a locals discount which was nice and good enough. Infused water with different flavors all around the spa. The separate Men's/Women's areas also had lounges where you can put the game on the TV and drink a variety of teas or coffee. They also have a steam room and cedar sauna, along with a nice assortment of personal grooming products. I'd recommend going in the morning for a few hours, work out in the excercise room, go to the aqua lounge, then the dry heat room, then go to one of the fantastic restaurants for lunch, come back to get a massage, then relax in the brine room, go for a swim, and/or stay in the spa until dinner time where you can go to Bistro Napa for social hour. I finally made it back. I went yesterday with my husband for my birthday. It was Friday so there was no locals discount. It was also much busier then the last time we went. We had day passes so we did not have any treatments but we had a very nice time relaxing. We spent quite a bit of time in the hot tub room. It was so nice to be there while it was snowing outside. We also spent a lot of time relaxing in the brine room. It is dark and they have a small waterfall and really comfy chaises with blankets. My husband took a nap even though he says he was only resting his eyes (He was quietly snoring but no one was in there). I also sat in the herbal steam room and a few minutes in the sauna (I always think it smells like Outback in there.) The sauna and steam room are in the locker rooms. I also used there sugar scrubs. I loooove the Pure Fiji Coconut sugar scrub. So great. Can't wait to come back. read more

By far the best spa in Reno,if you haven't been,your missing the most relaxing day you can have,the facilities are clean and well kept and a lot of varity.My wife and I had 80 min swedish massage there on 3/7/2017,we have had massages at the Atlantis before and never had a bad treatment,all the therapists are awesome but on our last trip I was lucky to have Angela as my therapist,she is proffesional, intuative and just an awesome therapist,she finds the knots and takes care of them,what a total relaxing 80 mins I will definately request her next time we go read more
