I am extremely satisfied with the quality of instruction that both my kids and myself are experiencing as we learn how to play the piano together. As a child, I remember being very interested in music and desiring to learn how to play the piano. However, after taking only a few lessons, I no longer wanted to practice. As a child, I could not see how memorizing scales and classical pieces could lead me to being fluent in the language of music and the performer that I wanted to be. The task seemed overwhelming and my interest began to wane. Soon after, my parents gave into my requests to stop the piano lessons altogether. Thankfully, my kids are having a completely DIFFERENT experience! Our highly qualified piano teacher from Soyulla Artists uses only the BEST musical pedagogy when giving lessons. Our teacher is extremely knowledgable and explains clearly, based on research, why he chooses to incorporate specific exercises into each lesson. Each lesson consists of not only piano playing but also singing, movement, posture, rhythm and ear training. My kids are also learning how to play duets and began playing together after only one lesson. After two lessons, my son already had the confidence to sit down and write his own piece of music and perform it! I am also extremely impressed that our teacher tailors each lesson to the exact needs of his student. Each lesson builds upon the other and keeps my kids engaged and hungering for more. Soyulla has been so incredibly helpful when it comes to coordinating both in-person and virtual piano lessons for two young kids! Heidi is an excellent teacher and both kids (age 3 and 5) have realy made great strides even over an ipad during the pandemic. I can't say enough great things about this company. The artists they send are professional, courteous and excellent teachers. We've tried two violin teachers and both were amazing and engaging. The first didn't work out due to timing and we were able to try another artist who was beyond our expectations and seamlessly picked up where the other left off and we never looked back. The artists are amazing performers and the two we experienced were excellent and engaging instructors. One identified that my son had an excellent ear and sometimes wasn't taking the time to read each note. The tweak in teaching made a huge difference and allowed him to be able to play a piece even if he's never heard it before. I highly recommend Soyulla. They do both in person and remote lessons. We've done both and recognized the quality in both platforms. When the teacher comes we practice social distancing and wear masks. The business model is great. After trying out with no success few piano teachers for my two daughters (8 and 10), a friend of mine suggested to contact Soyulla Artists. During the first call, they dedicated time to understand in depth my girls, their personalities, their goals, their passions and their learning style in order to find the right match for them. The first lesson was great. My girls were enthusiastic about their teacher and with no doubt, they decided to continue with her.
