Had a very bad experience with Sovernet. They were unable to provide the phone service their salesperson offered, they tried repeatedly to up-sell us, and customer service was ineffective. Have used this server for years, and have had probably 6-8 incidents where I needed tech support help. Nearly every time, the tech has told me something outright false, has been defensive, and sometimes both. For ex: I had to set up a new account and asked how I set up the Spam folder to intake Spam automatically--tech told me that is governed by Apple, that their system doesn't support that configuration. I hung up, thought, 'no, it has to be Sovernet', and within 3 minutes I found the Preferences tab and set up my Spam and other folders! They must hire kids straight out of school who don't know what they are doing, and who don't have the maturity to handle being questioned without getting defensive. BUYER BEWARE!!!I would give SOVERNET a "minus 10" if I could, but this is otherwise the lowest review possible, so it's what they get. We had service with this company for less than 6 months,over six years ago. We terminated service with them because our phones and internet were constantly down, and there were numerous billing errors. When we finally terminated and got a more reliable server, they sent us a bill for $12,000 for the "unused" future portion of our "contract" - i.e.a cancellation fee. This was after a mere 4 months of the worst communications service in my 38 years of being in business - constant phone outages, internet downtime and billing errors. We are a phone and internet company, and we should have been billing SOVERNET for the downtime, lost sales, and aggravation. So why am I writing this now? Here we are six years later, and out of the blue we get a call from a collection agency asking if we would like to settle this dispute with SOVERNET for $6,000? Keep in mind that their service was terrible, and this was a bill not for service (actually, they provided disservice!) but a cancellation fee. You can imagine my response.
