We were in Dodge for a long weekend and had a problem with our Buick. The folks at Lewis got us…read moreright in and figured out what was needed and repaired the same day.

Liars. (Long, but worth the read) I won't mention the salesman by name because I can't say for…read moresure he was the one who fabricated the lie, but the manager involved was named Anthony. So the story goes like this... I found the car I wanted on their site, it was a 2007 Camry Hybrid at their Dodge City location. I was put in touch with a salesman in Hays, and was told over the phone that it wouldn't be a problem getting a car from another location. The listing online was brand new and didn't even have actual photos of the car, so I asked the salesman to send me some, which he did. I made an appointment to meet with him the next evening. In the meantime, I texted the salesman letting him know I would like to look at another Kia that was located in Hays (which just so happened to be a few thousand dollars more), and I believe this is what 'caused' them to fabricate the following blatant lie... When I arrived for my appointment, I was immediately advised that the Camry I was interested in was "sideswiped" and no longer available..but this Kia is right here. The way they nonchalantly spoke about this car being wrecked immediately tipped me off that something was up. I looked at the Kia, but made it very clear that I was still interested in the Camry, and asked for pictures to see how bad the damage was. The salesman eluded to the fact that it may be totaled. Still, knowing a decent body-man who may have been able to fix the damage, I asked for pictures. From the moment the so casually told me about the Camry being wrecked, I felt as though this story was made up to sell me a more expensive car that was already in Hays (the Kia). The next morning, I had someone in Dodge City visit the Lewis location there and ask to see this Camry, which they somewhat obliged. The car was on the rack being serviced and detailed, and most definitely NOT WRECKED. The person I sent down then called to let me know, and I called Lewis in Dodge asking for more information about this Camry, which they made no mention of it being wrecked or having any real body damage, and even sent me photos of the *not wrecked* car. At this point, having been blatantly lied to my face, I was pretty livid. I went back out to Lewis (Hays) and gave the salesman back his business card, letting him know how disrespected I felt. I would have liked to talk to this 'Anthony' guy, but I was told that the managers all left early, so that wasn't an option. But, as expected, the salesman passed the buck to someone else, presumably in Dodge City, but made sure to direct blame in any direction away from himself. I'm more than certain that Dodge City will do the exact same, and I'll never know who the actually liar is in this chain... Which is irrelevant, actually. Bottom line is, I was blatantly lied to about the car that I wanted just so they could sell me a more expensive car, therefore making the salesman more money. The 'wrecked car' story was so casual though, so off the cuff that I don't believe this is the first time it was used. Most buyers would be automatically disinterested after hearing about the car they wanted being wrecked, therefore opening up the door for the salesman to sell them a different, more expensive car... Me not being one of those buyers blew up that whole fabrication, and I'm here to let others know what extent these people will go to just to sell you something you may not want.

I would give them higher than 5 stars, but that is the highest I can go…read more The saga beings on June 12th when we hit a deer with our trunk on our way through Kansas. My insurance agent setup a tow trunk and I had her make sure it was one that could not only haul the truck, which was not drivable, but also tow the RV that I was pulling. Tom the tow truck driver was awesome! We were in the middle of nowhere, KS, and he was able to get us all hooked up and towed us back to Dodge City, KS and Bailey's Body Shop. He even setup our RV behind the body shop that will fix the truck, because I didn't know where else to go. He then took us to a gas station to get gas in the generator and gas can so we would not run out during the night while using the AC, as it was over 100 degrees that day. The next day (Monday) we tried to get a rental truck to finish our trip, but we found out that most rental car companies don't rent tow vehicles, making me basically stuck! The owner of Bailey's (Bob Bailey) himself, let us use his personal truck and a friend towed the RV to Wichita (3+ hours away) and we were able to rent a U-Haul truck that allowed us to use our hitch and finally was able to complete our trip to Oklahoma late on Monday night. We thought the repair (estimated at over $10K) would take over 2-months due to part shortages and also logistics. I'm happy to report that just over 3-weeks they had my truck ready, and it looks like new! I would definitely recommend this body shop to anybody!!!
