Having been a multiple account holder with…read moreSun Trust/Truist for the previous 17 years they created a situation for me that was very costly. I deposited a larger than normal (for me) check issued from Morgan Stanley-Smith Barney, a national investment firm. Truist perceived this check to possibly be a fraudulent act. They froze all my banking capability for nearly a month for what they initially advised would be seven to ten business days. All of my scheduled payments thru bill pay were returned with fees attached. The funds of the check were removed from Morgan Stanley within three days and in Truist possession but still my account was frozen. Truist also advised they would reimburse for my returned fees if the check turned out to be legitimate. Of course the check real. I have requested with documentation reimbursement of fees but Truist has elected so far not to provide any expenses incurred. I no longer have any confidence in Truist Bank and will be "moving along" to another institution with customer care that is helpful.

This review is regarding the Wells Fargo Bank and not necessarily this particular branch. I went to…read morethis branch today to close my safe deposit box as I am moving. I went up to the man at the desk and asked him if I needed to stand in line to close my safe deposit box. He said no, he could help, but then asked if I had an appointment. I told him I didn't realize I had to make an appointment to empty out my safe deposit box and return the keys. He said that he couldn't help me because he had an appointment at 9:30. This was at 9:09. I looked at my watch and asked him why he couldn't just do it now. He said he is not allowed to do it without an appointment. I asked if I could empty out the box without an appointment and he said yes, but that the only woman who could help me was very busy and it would be awhile. I decided to just give up and so I requested an appointment. He then told me that the next appointment was a week from today! What? I told him that wasn't going to work. He then got in touch with an associate and was able to give me an appointment for Monday of next week. He spent the time to get it into my email, send a confirmation to the associate, etc. I was there a good 20 minutes. Needless to say, he could have just closed the safe deposit box in that length of time. There isn't a Wells Fargo Bank where I am moving, but that's good because I've had it with them. I do not recommend you use Wells Fargo.

Once inside it's been 45 minutes just to get a document notorized and I'm still waiting. They said they take appointments that walk in while I'm waiting first. It should take 3 minutes at the most for my document to be notirized and I could leave. I understand how this works but they have to service waiting customers. This place has no good system or quality customer service. Their receptionists doesn't know how to treat customers with respect. They literally act like it's not their fault that you have to spend your morning in their lobby. They claim they only have ONE notary in the building. Really? That's hard to believe. I need to change banks!!!!@
