He made a 45 minute thyroid removal into a…read more2-hour surgery and a 9 year problem with pain, then weakness, and nerve damage and tried to blame me! I found out later there is still a piece of the gland left in my neck about the size of a marble. How could I have caused him to do it so badly? He damaged my spine causing me horrible pain and disability. My daughter had to come home from college to feed me and take care of me, I could not. It hurt to lie down, just everything I did hurt. I lost 20 pounds the first month after surgery because I could not prepare food and it hurt to get up to do anything I did not want to drink water so I did not have to stand up to go.I saw a neurologist for years after and had multiple electromyography tests all showing nerve damage. He hyperextended my neck too much and scrapped the nerves behind the tube in my throat. (that is what other dr told me - IDK) He was so nasty when I called later on and said my arms did not work right and that dressing myself was so painful. He yelled what do you want me to do? Come and do your bra every day? I hated his work and his attitude. When I called, post op, to ask for help he said it was my fault because I have a fat neck. A goiter does that too. He saw me a couple of times before surgery and examined me. He knew, he saw, he was mean and said awful stuff to me. I weighed about 175 pounds then and now. He also wrote in the op report that I had cancer. I did not. There was no evidence and I have been retested multiple times since then. Scary for years. What if he was right? He was wrong. I did not sue him because you only have 2 years after the damage and I was unable to use my arms and legs properly and I had enough stress without worrying about getting money from him! Money would not fix my life. I almost lost my job because I could not properly use my body. My boss told me nobody has this kind of pain from getting your thyroid out. I was a science teacher. I spent multiple years in pain because of him. His mood was unpredictable. If I could prove it, I'd say he was impaired in some way when he operated on me. His denials, yelling, and creepy attitude align with some folks with substance abuse. I can't prove that, but I think it is what happened. I hope he is better, I am, but I would never trust him...ever. He was uncaring and ineffective with my body.

I was able to get all my x-rays on a flash drive. I gave it to the doctor for his examination. The staff and the doctor here are very nice. Checking in was very simple. Everything is done through kiosk in order to avoid more personal contact. And I didn't have to wait for long before I get to see the doctor. Fortunately, the doctor said it's not too serious. I did not have a fracture and luckily it was just sprained. The doctor told me to keep my leg elevated, stay off my feet and take plenty of rest. The good news is that my ankle is getting a lot better, so I don't have to go back for another visit. But if I have to, I know the doctor and the staff here will take good care of me.

I called in a week ago and spoke with Sonya, a familiar sounding voice from a past visit 3 years…read moreago for my ankle. I had told her I had hurt my arm and it felt like the surgery I had from a past associated Dr., Dr. Kelly, had re torn itself. I told her I was in a lot of pain. She told me to get a referral from my primary. So I did and had an appointment today @9:30am. I arrived @9:20am, did the self check in Kiosk inputting an 8 as my pain level, sat down, and was called by Lorita. The first thing she asked was where is your pain. I said in my arm and before I could say shoulder, she said to me was I might want to check my insurance, because your doctor put shoulder pain on the referral. I tried to explain to her there was pain in both areas and she actually said the insurance won't cover it. I asked why can't I see the dr because it didn't make sense (I'm one to do every step correctly) but her attitude was aggressive. Nicholas came over and explained that the bicep and shoulder connects so there can be pain in the shoulder from a bicep tear. Lorita did not like the fact Nicholas corrected her. I saw it all over her face as she kept turning back to another office associate. I mean I'm a customer and returning client, why was I treated this way. I became upset because Lorita then back tracked and said she didn't say what she said about the arm. I asked to speak with Sonya and she said she was on the phone. 15 minutes later Sonya hands me a packet to fill out. She said I haven't been there in 10 years, when in actually I was there less than 3 years ago for an ankle injury but she didn't want to hear it because I was trying to explain to her how rude the front desk Lorita was. It took me about 15 minutes to fill out the paperwork. I stood at the window, I knocked politely, hoping that the situation was over. I stood there and heard talking. Then two gentlemen came to the window and said they were going to refer me to another orthopedic dr. One was Nicholas, who was amazing during this whole situation, and Alex, who I would say tried his best to handle a situation which was a he said /she said and he has to work with Lorita. I knew to not to argue at this point, so I just asked for there names because Lorita was no where to be found. I'm confused why when I was confronted with misinformation from Lorita, I chose to question it, and rather than properly explain it, she got more aggressive and said that she never said the previous misinformation. I believe now a days it's called gaslighting. Her communication made me feel extremely uncomfortable while I'm already at a 8 pain level as I inputted in the digital check in. Now I have to find a new orthopedic, on my plan, that takes my insurance, get another referral from my primary, and then make another appointment with a different orthopedic. If I have a potential bicep tendon tear or tear of my shoulder, time is of the essence. Needless to say I will never go back to this office. I believe the Dr. is only as good as his staff because he chose them. If he doesn't handle his office detail, how would he handle a patients details.

Well this is definitely not the case with Dr Abdallah. He speaks with each patient as if they were a close friend. He is an excellent surgeon, has a stellar personality, and I would trust him with any of my family members. Bedsides working alongside him in the hospital setting, I have used him on two separate occasions for my varicose veins (an RN with varicose veins, surprise surprise). Once we did sclerotherapy and most recently endovenous laser ablation. Both procedures are done in the comfort of his newly renovated clean office. Sclerotherapy can be used for both varicose and spider veins. It involves injection of an sclerosing agent directly into the spider or varicose vein which will cause it collapse and virtually disappear. It is phenomenal.. all of my unsightly veins were wiped out! Unfortunately when women get pregnant (which I did a couple of years after this procedure) some may come back (which they did). So Dr Abdallah recommended the more invasive solution, which is the endovenous laser ablation also known as EVLT. EVLT involves using light emission (from a laser) to cauterize (burn) the inside of the varicose vein wall causing this unhealthy vein to close for good. We did this procedure in office in under an hour and I was able to go on in life as normal! Oh, and the unslightly veins were gone! Besides cosmetic procedures, As a vascular surgeon Dr Abdallah specializes in Hemodialysis access procedures, abdominal aortic aneurysm repairs , endartectomies, and any of your vascular needs.
