They found that some of what Firestone had said was not accurate and overpriced, but more importantly they found structural damage from a previous accident that the owner of the car wasn't even aware of. Firestone had the car up in the air, I asked them if the rebuilt title repairs were done correctly and they never mentioned ANY of the damage. Edcar Tire pointed it out right away and it was VERY evident just by looking at it. They are polite, knowledgeable, and fair. If I lived in the area I would for sure make this my go to mechanic.

Most of the time I do the work myself because I am a perfectionist, but this time I just didn't have time. I went to Speedway Car Care yesterday to have my vehicle looked at for a possible brake-related issue. Manny quickly diagnosed the problem as a stuck passenger-side front brake caliper, which is what I suspected. I also wanted a few other things checked to make sure the vehicle was safe. A recommendation was made by Jamie and Manny to have both front brake rotors, pads and calipers replaced due to the age of them, rather than just replacing the one caliper and rotor. Coming from someone who has worked on and built race vehicles since I was 15 years old, I agreed with her recommendation so there were no mismatched aged parts; my car is 12 years old. After all, brakes and the brake system of your vehicle is not something you want to cheap out on. The quote I received was more than fair at the going labor rates nowadays, especially from the dealerships. The work was performed to the same quality I would have done and everyone was extremely polite. Nothing was attempted to be sold to me that did not need to be done sooner than later. I hate when you go to a shop for something simple and next thing you know they are trying to sell you all kinds of nonsense you don't need. Can't express enough how impressed I was with Fred and Caveman Everything. First off they responded…read moremy request very quickly and provided a more than reasonable price. Secondly, he was at my house within 90 mins from me speaking with him to begin working (and this was towards the end of the day so extra points for his willingness to come out after I had gotten home from work). Finally, I needed help installing an wi-if thermostat that my wife had purchased...we had previously had two other people come out who had not been able to figure out. Fred went above and beyond and refused to give up where the others had previously called it quits. After he was able to locate the new wires and properly set it up with the electrical wiring he stayed around to make sure it was working properly as we began to set it up. Again five stars doesn't seem to do justice but I really appreciate everything he did and would use him again and recommend him to family and friends!! Derek
