Dr. Peters took 30 seconds to look at my moms eye and continued to say "i dont know whats wrong". he never offered to further investigate what was wrong even when we asked him. instead he said he can "offer" to schedule us a second appointment, as if we were blessed to be in his office and seen by him. he was extremely condescending saying that my mom was not being "rational" when she said she doesnt know if she is even looking at him ( shes legally blind). he avoided all our questions by telling us that "worrying will not help". we made sure we heard us tell his assistant that she was exponentially kinder, more understanding, and spoke to us like we were humans. Dr. Peters should not be allowed to interact with other human beings if thats how he treats his patients.

I waited a half hour past my scheduled appointment time before I was seen. They told me they were short staffed and apologized for the delay. I ended up being there for 2 hours.by the time my procedure was completed. The same procedures at my facility up north take 45 minutes. Yesterday, I waited to be seen for over an hour past my scheduled appointment time. I was again told they were short staffed. In total, I was at this appointment for 3 hours and 20 minutes! During the time I was there, I frequently asked if they had forgotten me as I heard the office staff laughing and chatting while I waited to be take care of. Everytime I asked they assured me that I had not been forgotten and then took care of me promptly. In summary, the doctor may be the best retinal doctor on the coast, but his staff, though friendly, is clearly not patient centered. Their attitude is lackadaisical. There is no sense of urgency or concern for their patients' concerns. If they are, in fact, short staffed, then they should not schedule so many appointments! If that is not the case, then perhaps they need some training in time management and customer service..

After trying so many combinations, i decided just to continue to wear glasses but she never gave up. For the next few years on my visits I would ask het if there were any better ones. She would tell me no so I just stopped asking. This time Jasmine fitted me for my new glasses and she was just a breath of fresh air. She was so pleasent and helpful. She measured everything correctly. I have progressive bifocals and the measurement have to be correct or the glasses dont work at all. She was awesome. I go to Dr Jacobs every year and I'm going to have Jasmine fit my glasses next year as well. It is like a family atmosphere at the office and since they moved, the Lobby has a play area for the kids.

We got a call after Dec 10 wanting us to come in early ,we were in process of making funeral arrangements for our still born great grand daughter. We explain this to his staff they ask if we could come in that day we could not they gave us limited time to be there. Something about he had a teaching position in Massachusetts. When my wife frustrated with the staff I got on the phone told them what I had heard the doctor said about her treatment she insisted that was not the case. I was forceful but not rude. We recieved a letter from the doctor that said to the effect we where no longer welcomed. I could not understand this he had been my doctor for over 29 years .​

Cataract surgery is not as simple as having your eyes tested and scheduling the surgery. There was a full staff of qualified specialists to check my eyes carefully, explain the process as well as Dr. Bahadur careful explanation. Two surgeries later,astigmatisms in both eyes and electing for the basic no frills lens, I only need over the counter reading glasses. My vision is very clear. Professional, kind, and excellent.

I recently had a procedure done at Gulf South Surgical Center. It was one hell of a madhouse. The…read morestaff was very unprofessional. I arrived at the time I was scheduled for my procedure. The receptionist kept me sitting so long that I asked what was wrong. I was then told my procedure had been rescheduled. A nurse told me they had left a message for me informing of this the day before. I never got the message. After waiting over two hours I finally asked what time the procedure was rescheduled for because they never told me. It was nearly four hours before I had the procedure. My evaluation form was taken out of my envelope by one of the nurses so that it the reason I am posting this. I later found out that they had the wrong telephone number on my record. I have never seen such unprofessionalism. I don't want to have another procedure done there ever and there is no way I would ever recommend them to anyone.
