Eek. Out of all the hostels we visited over a two week period in NZ, this was the least awesome. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't great. Not the cleanest, bathrooms were pretty grimy and the kitchen area really wasn't that well equipped for a hostel. When returning to Queenstown, I'd likely stay somewhere else. Also, super loud. Young'ns stay here and stay up late drinking and socializing. This is not a quiet establishment. read more

The place smells pretty bad, bathrooms are dirty like it hasn't been cleaned in a while, walls are thin so you can hear people's conversations 2 rooms over and the bed was not comfortable. Only redeeming thing is that it is really close to the city centre read more
