I finally found a company recommended by a friend in my own phone contacts. AJ Downs - Landscaping One - returned my text within 4 mins, saying they could be there the next day - New Year's Day! He explained the cost, what they would be doing, possible scenarios, and how to handle the high water bill. He listened to me and answered all my questions thoroughly. The next day the crew showed up at 8:30 AM with AJ. They still could not find the leak - there were 60 year old oaks and a driveway to deal with. I told AJ to proceed with replacing the entire line. They returned - after 811 marked utility lines - with full crew, boring equipment, and materials. AJ investigated further before beginning the installation and found an abandoned irrigation system that was causing the problem. The crew fixed it - a minor repair compared to replacing the entire line. They could have done all the approved work and I would not have known. The repair cost me a fraction of what we thought was needed.
