Darseys Furniture in Grapeland came up on my search engine and they had in stock every chair and more that I wanted to try out! We drove South instead of North to Dallas and were amazed at the floor inventory! The service was great at answering questions without pressure. I found the chair we needed and were once again amazed when the owner was willing to drop the price even lower than the lowest online price that I had found!!! Darseys IS worth the drive by their service, their inventory, and their willingness to be competitive in their pricing! I'm grateful for the Darsey family continuing to meet the needs of folks seeking furniture, for at least 3 generations.

To this very day, they never have once called to update me, I had to continually call to get any type of update. On top of that, each update was nothing, but lies. It's now June and there's still no true update. I've been continuously fed lies by each rep, stating things like: "your order has been shipped, you should received the order within a week, we don't have control over our shipment, we don't control online orders, we can't expedite online requests, our store managers are only available Saturdays...etc." Short summary: Lesson learned, skip this store in the future. They don't care about your business, customer service is not helpful, plus rude. I would recommend getting your furniture somewhere else. Cancelled order.

I am new to the Athens area and went on line to look for local furniture stores. The closest stores…read morethat came up were on Tyler. But, a few days later I was just exploring the downtown square and there it was, a furniture store and I loved the couch in the window (that wasn't brown, lol). Went inside, met the owner and saw several beautiful all wood pieces at s very great price point and ordered some shelving units the owner assured me were well made and could be delivered within the week. Carlton out did himself! Talk about great service! You don't get this type of personalized, terrific service in most of the stores, even the elite stores, in DFW. AND the four bookshelves that I ordered that were delivered in days, by very personable and very professional men who took extra care to not bring in a spec of mud on a very wet day, are beautifully made. There is special detailing on the edges that I could not even see on the 1 inch picture. Granted, I was hesitant to buy for an itty bitty picture, but it was Carlton's assurance and guarantee to take it back if I did not like them that convinced me to go ahead. So very glad I did. This will be my go to store on all future furniture purchases, as long as he continues to be competitive on pricing and maintains his awesome SERVICE and credibility.

We were a few months from moving into our house which we were renovating, when we bought our largest items of furniture. Havertys stored the furniture at their own warehouse for us until the time that we were ready to move in. Now that is service! Thank you so much Christie, Elizabeth, Crystal, for putting up with my many exchanges and returns; Jorden, for the extra perks, and especially Elizabeth and Astrid, for the wonderful design advice and your availability to me.
