To my surprise I've discovered a PADI dive center in Huntsville! Yay! I stopped by today to drop off my regulators for servicing and ended up ordering a 5mm wetsuit and buying a 3mm wetsuit. I'm switching all my gear to aqua colors. They had a lot of gear and are an aqualung dealer, which was also a great surprise to me! I love aqualung and I needed a dealer to order a part that fell off of my regulator. I am looking forward to seeing them more often and hope to finally do my dive master course with them in the future. read more

NEVER EVER bring your equipment to be serviced here. They send your regulator to TEXAS to be serviced. When I finally was notified that it was ready and went to the store to retrieve it, I attached my computer to the hose and it was leaking uncontrollably. Gregg said to me with a straight face if I wanted to leave it to be serviced! He said he was too busy to look at it and he could not drop everything he was already doing. Horrendous. I will drive to Cullman and have my equipment serviced in house! Totally abhorrent customer service. read more

I took the Discover SCUBA course yesterday with SDI, and it was amazing! I only wish I'd known about it years ago. How can you beat a $25 no-commitment class where you get to "test drive" SCUBA diving before you sign up?! And an interesting, inexpensive way to spend the evening, even if you have no intention of certifying in the Open Water Course. The instructor was excited to be there. It was an at-your-own-pace course, and you could do as little or as much as you felt comfortable with. We went through some basics, then was able to swim to the bottom of the pool and just enjoy diving. Highly recommend the course to anyone. Any age group, athletic or couch potato, wanting an adventure or just an easy date/group idea. read more
