To my surprise I've discovered a PADI dive center in Huntsville! Yay! I stopped by today to drop off my regulators for servicing and ended up ordering a 5mm wetsuit and buying a 3mm wetsuit. I'm switching all my gear to aqua colors. They had a lot of gear and are an aqualung dealer, which was also a great surprise to me! I love aqualung and I needed a dealer to order a part that fell off of my regulator. I am looking forward to seeing them more often and hope to finally do my dive master course with them in the future. read more

She also told Us where to rent equipment to go diving locally, and her recommendation was to go to Blue Water Park, by Birmingham Alabama. NEVER EVER bring your equipment to be serviced here. They send your regulator to TEXAS to be serviced. When I finally was notified that it was ready and went to the store to retrieve it, I attached my computer to the hose and it was leaking uncontrollably. Gregg said to me with a straight face if I wanted to leave it to be serviced! He said he was too busy to look at it and he could not drop everything he was already doing. Horrendous. I will drive to Cullman and have my equipment serviced in house! Totally abhorrent customer service. read more

For being the only scuba store in North Alabama, they are the best instructors and well stocked gear around. They will work with you to get the training and gear that you need. read more

I took the Discover SCUBA course yesterday with SDI, and it was amazing! I only wish I'd known about it years ago. How can you beat a $25 no-commitment class where you get to "test drive" SCUBA diving before you sign up?! And an interesting, inexpensive way to spend the evening, even if you have no intention of certifying in the Open Water Course. The instructor was excited to be there. It was an at-your-own-pace course, and you could do as little or as much as you felt comfortable with. We went through some basics, then was able to swim to the bottom of the pool and just enjoy diving. Highly recommend the course to anyone. Any age group, athletic or couch potato, wanting an adventure or just an easy date/group idea. read more

Our picture is actually the start of the upper falls at the end of a dam outlet but the rush and glory of so much water was a sight to see, and very relaxing to listen to. The lower falls is accessible fifty or so steps down a staircase. You could feel the mist on your face at the lookout (which has two levels, the second right at the barrier that drops off to the Falls and the best shot for pictures, the first for the faint of heart and further away).

The staff were extremely helpful and so accommodating. We purchased gold mining buckets for our 5 grandchildren but one of them didn't get an amethyst. She didn't notice and neither did we however the staffer did. He sought us out and gave us a piece of amethyst for her. Our tour guide was also amazing, very informative and entertaining. As an out of shape old grandma the cave return walk was a bit challenging for me but worth every muscle ache.
