Horrible attendees, horrible service, everyone with bad attitude even when you call in for advice. You wait for over 40mn for literally 2mn screening. Horrible! My 6 yrs old daughter was prescribed antibiotics with a dosage that looked too high and when I called in with questions I was told to go somewhere else if I'm not satisfied with what I was given. Not even an option for a call back after speaking with the physician that prescribed the meds which was what I was looking for. To top it all off the room where we waited to be seen the floor was dirty and the place had a foul smell, disgusting. Never again! read more

Though my children, who are 11 years old, are fully vaccinated up to date, after much research I chose to refuse the three 'recommended' vaccines today (meningitis, tetanis/pertussis, hpv). I was told that if I do not comply that I will no longer be welcome as a patient of Southcoast Pediatrics. I was told that the reasoning was that my children would pose a risk to babies in the waiting room. Does this mean I need to get these vaccines as well so I don't pose a 'risk' to other patients? Is this more than medicine, leaving my children without a primary care doctor? Are parents no longer allowed to make informed decisions for their children based on their independent research if it doesn't match up to what Southcoast recommends? I feel this is a coercive tactic attempting to take away my freedom to choose what is injected into my children. Unacceptable in America in my opinion. read more

I have been treated for cancer and been getting radiation therapy l. My latest statement said that I had seen and been billed for seeing a doctor. That isn't true. I never saw a doctor and is just another insurance scam against Medicare for services not received. It seems like business as usual and would not recommend Southcoast for any type of medical care!!!! read more

Dr. Alexis Pappas, Gastroenterologist, is the best! She listens and speaks to you like a good friend. So important when you're nervous about what could be gong on inside your body, what you can't see. I always recommend her to family and friends, And I don't take my family and friends lightly! Also the plus...the Fairhaven facility is great! Easy access, clean, friendly, great doctors. Can't beat it! read more

Dr Reed is the best doctor I have ever had. Seriously could not recommend her more, Ive been seeing her for a couple years and she just has the perfect personality for a doctor. She is very caring and will hear you out on all your concerns and help in the best way she can. I have experience with both the Urgent Care center and the Oncology Center. My six year old was sick with a high fever w/ vomiting and of course that happens on the weekend when her physician's office isn't open. Her dad first took her to our local Dartmouth urgent car office but they turned them away! Grr..no children under ten. So he took her to this office in Fairhaven which was easy to get to off the highway and the wait was a little long but the care was excellent and she was given a prescription for antibiotics. Great substitute when you need to see a doctor but it's not yet at that point where you should be at the ER. My second visit recently was for pre-op at the Oncology Center. Beautiful building (even a little kiosk inside where they sell fresh baked items, etc). I actually went into the wrong building first because I listened to my GPS and not my eyes. I had an early morning appointment and was one of only two patients. First was the blood work, the girl was very nice. Secondly, I had an ultrasound done (first time ever having one of those and NOT being pregnant). The tech was quick and competent. Third, I had a chest x-ray done. Very nice/professional guy. Lastly, I had an EKG done. She was friendly and it didn't take long. After everything was said and done I was out in no more than 40mins! read more

The only good thing I have to say: I have never waited longer than expected for services when an appointment is scheduled. However, I have had several situations when an appointment has been canceled by the doctor, and no rescheduling has been offered. Further, members of my family have experienced too many situations in which a doctor suddenly leaves the SouthCoast Group, and the group makes little effort to accomodate treatments that had been scheduled. "Customer Service" is often terrible. The construction of the facility is shoddy, and every exam room can hear every word spoken in the neighboring exam room - there is no privacy! This group really only cares about making money - do not expect to receive actual caring treatment. Do not expect to get thoughtful responses to questions. DO expect to be treated like an object, rather than a human. There are not a lot of medical options available in the southern communities of Massachusetts, so good luck. read more

I've been here three times so far. Once for a broken toe, the second time for stitches, and a third time for an upper respiratory infection. Each and every time I have been there I have been taken in immediately. Everyone from the minute you walk in you are well taken care of. Whether it be the secretary, the urgent care tech (one whom takes your initial vitals), the x-ray technician, or the NP. They are WONDERFUL. They do try to their very best to give not only complete care but also try to minimize any wait. I work in the medical field, and often it's very hard to try to please patients, regardless of how hard one tries. I feel that this urgent care is GREAT. Not everyone can be pleased all the time. On July 2nd I made an appt so I wouldn't have to waste too much time. I waited 2 and a half hrs in a closed room for the most rude Dr. to show up and tell me to go to the ER if i felt worse. I was giving a booster shot and the total nightmare of more than 3 hrs between check in and waiting costs 585 dollars as Im a self pay patient. DO NOT GO! read more

I went to urgent care after 2 weeks of pain in my leg and couldn't get in to see my Doctor. I waited over an hour was told a doctor would be in shortly. What I got was a nurse practitioner who told me she doesn't know much about leg or shin pain. Then why am I seeing her? The only thing she knows that could cause leg pain would be a blood clot but, she doubts that's what's going on with me. She told me to stay off the leg, ice it and take ibuprofen which I was already doing before seeing her. Southcoast Urgent Care is a joke. It was a waste of time. I should of just went to the emergency room at least there you get a DOCTOR who knows what they are talking about. read more
