Excellent garlic bread that melts in your mouth
Carla N.

Hubby & I had dinner here last night for the first time. We arrived around 5:00. We were greeted & seated right away. All of the staff were very friendly & welcoming. The restaurant is like going to a family member's house, but also a restaurant. Very welcoming. We ordered waters. Hubby had a beer & I had a vodka and cranberry juice. The draft was broken so hubby got a bottle. It could have been a little colder. The cocktail was smooth, but a little light on the pour. We ordered a salad, full order of garlic bread with marinara sauce & a XL number 4 pizza (sausage) & added mushrooms. The salad picture is deceiving because it is a lot. It was good. The garlic bread is excellent. Like no other garlic bread we have had before. It's light & fluffy. It melts in our mouth. The marinara is so red & full of flavor. We love sourdough bread and the original crust did not disappoint. We could taste the sourdough. The toppings were plentiful. Service was good; just a little slow, but she was really busy. It's a drive for us, but we will be back for sure.

Full disclosure this follow-up is based on a party of 23. During our last visit my wife made reservations for a Ladies Lunch. The restaurant was confident they could accommodate a party this size. The restaurant clearly has the physical space but the Kitchen and table service fell short. Some orders went to other tables outside the party, other tables orders came to the party. The end result was not everyone enjoyed lunch at the same time. Lessons for us. Don't make reservations for large groups. We've been there before easily handling 6-8 and I feel it's important to credit them for this! There is a limit to the kitchens and server's capacity for large groups nothing more. Most important By no means does this reflect in the quality of their food, nor does it discourage us from patronizing them!!

My Yelp Bestie Chelsey H. and I decided to stop by this location for a weekday dinner. We both had visited prior, but had been years since but we recalled the pizza being delicious and unique in flavor. The parking lot is very spacious, and we were immediately welcomed by very festive decor for Halloween. This alone will likely have us return, so we can see what they do each holiday/season! To start we ordered a salad and some sides. When I saw potato salad on the menu, I knew I had to try as I love potato salad. Sadly, it was super sweet, like they used coleslaw dressing causing it to be sweet/tangy. It was definitely odd and we both ended up leaving it as we could not finish. Though that was odd, all the other food was amazing! I really love the taste of the sourdough pizza. The service was great even though it was a busier night. Our waitress was very attentive and loved the chocolate eyeballs for a spooky treat to accompany the bill. The prices are amazing and I'll definitely be returning soon when I'm craving a sourdough pizza!

We went a week before Christmas all the shops were unlit, but the little Sourdough Pizza Restaurant at the corner of the strip. The Christmas of a dream to walk into for an eve. I felt like I was on a movie set. The pizza was fresh, hot, and hard to miss atop all the spices underneath our glistening, silver pizza pan. The Blue Moon pitcher lasted the eve and the slight taste of orange matched perfectly with the Christmastry. Out of a dream. I love this place. Thank you for the pizza. Merry Christmas, 2025 from me.

Sourdough Pizza Italian Restaurant, located in Mesa, AZ, has been a staple in the community for over 20 years. Offering a unique twist on traditional Italian cuisine, the restaurant prides itself on their signature sourdough pizza, known for its delicious flavor and crispy crust. This restaurant has always been a topic of discussion in my family. It was great to enjoy a nostalgic meal with my cousin, Diele K! Upon entering, the restaurant does feel dated but in a charming way. When we went, it was decorated for the applicable holiday - loved it! The parking lot is shared with surrounding businesses, but very large and easy to find a spot to without too much of a walk. The service was quick and friendly. Diele and I shared a garden salad to start, which had mushroom, cucumbers, tomatoes, and croutons ($6.30). The baked zucchini (half order $4.25/whole order $7.10) was simple, but still good and the potato salad was not really my favorite. It was too sweet, but that may be personal preference. We also had a cheese pizza, it was so good! I forgot the size we ordered - I think we did the 10 inch ($11.35)! I personally love sour dough and feel it makes a different in the crust. Definitely will need to stop in again when I'm in the area!

The best pizza in Arizona since the 80s. Definitely check it out. I love their combination pizza. It's the best. A true East Mesa Gem.

Thanks to Jolee, I'd order here again…read more Ordered doordash and screwed up my own order thinking a wrap was a lettuce wrap. Called the store and they were willing to make it as a bowl for me. I've had bad experiences with sandwich bowls from other places but my #9 bowl with pepperoni and extra cheese was actually excellent. They chop things super well so you're not having to cut everything to get mixed bites, and it's well sauced without being too much. They also threw in some hot pepper relish on the side on request. I had to call the store 3 times but Jolee was a massive pleasure to work with and made the experience not only painless but also delicious.

NEVER ORDER ONLINE HERE IT IS ALWAYS A DISASTER READ A FEW OTHER REVIEWS ABOUT IT SAYING 15 MINUTES…read moreI WOULDNT HAVE CARED ABOUT 15 I WAITED AN HOUR AND A HALF ITS RIDICULOUS. We ordered online I forgot what time my wife ordered it and they said it would be picked up at 12:13 pm. I walked in everyone was waiting on mobile orders I waited 20 mins till 12:33 then had to take the newborn and wife home came back at 1pm it still wasn't ready your better off going to a different location or company they don't work on the mobile orders in advance at all they're were 6 mobile orders just sitting there and 10 people waiting to pick up. It's kinda crazy me and my wife only ordered two subs couldn't even get them in the span of an hour and a half waiting to submit because I actually wanna time how long it took to get these sandwiches. At a certain point when do you hold up the line of people ordering for the mobile orders line. The staff were nice but lunch is either a disaster every-time or someone ordered a 100 sandwiches. The food is good the ambiance is good just wondering why it took an hour and a half to get my mobile order of two sandwiches.

There are restaurants, and then there are hidden gems like this neat little Italian eatery where…read morethe line between "dining out" and "being adopted by the cook" disappears in the best possible way. From the moment we walked in, the cook herself greeted us with the kind of warm, genuine smile that makes you forget you're in a public space. By the end of the evening she had invited us to her actual home for cooking lessons--like we'd known her for years instead of minutes. That kind of unscripted hospitality is rarer than a perfect risotto. And the food? Pure deliciousness that matches the heart. Every bite sang with bright, honest Italian flavors--nothing fussy, nothing fake, just layers of garlic, herbs, tomatoes, and cheese that taste like they came straight from someone's nonna's Sunday table. The dishes were so full of soul you could almost hear the wooden spoon scraping the bottom of the pot. It's a small, unassuming spot that somehow manages to feel both intimate and alive. You leave not just full, but genuinely happy, already daydreaming about that next visit (and those promised cooking lessons). If you want Italian food that tastes like love served on a plate, stop searching. You've found it. Five radiant stars. Go. Bring friends. Learn to cook. Repeat.

We each selected the $44 set meal that included a Caprese salad and bread, fried calamari, hot bruschetta ragu, Sicilian-style lasagna and, ta da, gelato for desert. The fresh mozzarella was so gorgeous we ordered 2 balls to takeaway. Hot bruschetta ragu was simply lovely bread topped with a meat ragu and melted mozzarella. Honestly, we've had better calamari and would prefer a marinara sauce versus what tasted like French fry sauce. The lasagna was delicious and the serving of such a size we happily brought some home. My partner ordered South Africa Dark chocolate and Reese's gelato whilst I ordered Madagascar vanilla and key lime gelato. Whilst Dolce Vita is a restaurant it felt and tasted as if we were eating at someone's home. The young staff were super attentive and very knowledgeable about all on offer. I highly recommend you give Dolce Vita a go!
