In the bishop arts district, this store fits in like a glove. It's a soap/body product store/ art…read moregallery which is so interesting! The art and products are by local artists which is even better because you get to give back to the community if you purchase anything. I bought some face loofas and whipped pink grapefruit shea butter. If you check in on yelp at the store you'll get a 25% discount on one item. Every product they have is natural which I like and they have numerous bath salts, hair care products, deodorants and other body care items so check it out! It's a very cute shop!

They have some nice prepackaged gift collections all ready to go! Service was okay. There were two people seated at the back of the store and they didn't offer any help. But, I am pretty sure they would have responded if I asked for help. I didn't realize this was a collective of artists in one shop, which makes more sense of how they had a lot of variety in the various products. I liked smelling the candles. I just didn't find one that sparked my fancy. The soaps are all natural, which I found amazing. You have to wind around the shop, because it is long and thin. There were a lot of products packed into the space. The prices looked fairly. I remember it was around $28 for a candle. I would definitely stop by and check them out again.

This is my second time at the store. The first time I went to find a birthday gift for a friend and…read morethis time around I am looking to pick up laundry detergent. I've been wanting to try something that's long lasting and is also safe to use on my clothes, sheets, and blankets, but also a little bit more luxurious. Customer service here was OK. I did have to wait around a bit after being introduced to the detergent and how to order them with scent. However, once I place an order, it was pretty quick for them to make which I was a little cautious about because the signs did say it takes about 15 to 20 minutes, so hopefully my detergent is all good when I put it to use. I love the fact that you can smell a difference, body soaps to get an idea of The said that you want your laundry detergent to smell like which is what I did. It makes it more personable and obviously a more luxurious experience than picking up detergent at target for example. When you do bring the bottle of powder detergent, back to the store, you get a discount on your refill, which is really great. Depending on how it goes I'll definitely come back to do a refill and try some other items especially as we get closer to the holiday season!!

They seem to always have a sale going on and the employees are always very friendly and helpful. I have sprung for some of their laundry detergents, and dryer balls, and it's amazing how nice everything smells even days later coming out of the closet. I didn't know this the first time I bought the wool dryer balls is that you bring them back to the store to get re-scented. Cool, right! They even just launched a liquid laundry detergent which I will definitely purchase soon. They are fully on the fall bandwagon with pumpkin spice, so I bought some lotion today. Smells and feels so nice! I'm a huge fan of this place. I recommend coming in and sniffing everything to find your favorite flavor. This is also a great place to pick up a gift for a friend!

Like the Bishop Arts store, this is easily one of the best smelling shops I've ever entered. The…read moreminute I opened the door the great scent just drew me into the shop. Upon entering there were candles, candles and more candles. I usually frequent the Bishop Arts location but getting there is challenge due to the construction in the area. Also, since I was in the area doing some other things I decided to stop into this location. While the layout of the two stores is similar, this location is more spacious which allows more for more comfortable shopping experience during the busy periods. Also, because of the larger space, they have more product in the store and ready for purchase. Something to note is that while both locations carry the same items; because of demographics availability of certain items may be more readily available at one location than the other. Thankfully, my two favorite candles were in stock making my trip a success. The staff as this location are very welcoming and friendly. The person I worked with was very helpful in pointing out the candles I went for. Of the my two, I was worried that they didn't have one of them and she pointed to where they were and explained the labeling has changed which is why I walked right past them. Having covered a few of the similarities between the two locations; one area where they differ is parking. This location has a huge parking lot (it is shared with other businesses in the area) has plenty of parking. While I don't mind street parking (and walking), there is something to be said for a parking lot as it adds a level of convenience to the shopping experience. Because this was my first visit (I was unsure of the exact location amongst all the other shops), I ended up parking a distance away from the shop and walking to it. I will probably continue to do that as it allows me to still get the walking experiencing. If you're not into walking there are plenty of spaces right in front of the shop. I have been a huge fan of Society and their awesome candles for a few years. While this was my first visit to this location it will not be the last; I foresee many more visits in the future. If you are wanting some nice smelling candles or looking for a unique gift for someone I highly recommend you 'check-in' to Society.

My friend and I were shopping in Dallas and knew we wanted to run by Preston Center so I googled…read morewhat shops were there and came across Society. I wasn't sure if it was a home decor shop or just candles, as I found out they are also a design company. Turns out this is their second location, the first being in the Bishop Arts District of Dallas. This is just a candle boutique, not a home decor or design store. But the owners are designers and have an office elsewhere, if I understood correctly. I loved the look of the store and the salesperson was friendly and helpful. Their candles are pricy but LOVE all the scents and they make a great gift. Oh and I had to buy one for me too! I asked the salesgirl what scent was the most popular and she said No. 2 so that is what I bought for both me and my sister. She wrapped my sister's in a separate bag with tissue so my gift was ready to go! She also gave us tips on how to burn our candles-first time let them burn for 2-3 hours so they burn evenly and don't "hollow" out. Also cut the wick next time I use. I love my candle, I am burning it now! And my sister loved hers too! Will be back, this store is unique!
