The gel mani was quick and came out beautiful, for only 25 euros! The pedicure was a bit more expensive, but my feet needed a lot of work from walking around so much and they really went the extra mile to clean them up. I also walked in without an appointment and they made time for me. I also didn't have enough cash on me so they allowed me to leave after it was done and come back after I visited an ATM. The place looks very clean, all the tools are sterilized, the staff is friendly and chatty. While I was there I kept thinking this was the best pedicure i had ever gotten. The technician did so many procedures, so many layers and she seemed so knowledgeable. The chairs vibrate and give you a massage. The whole pedicure process lasted for more than 1 hr and both my friend and I felt pampered. However, the next day, my friend woke up with this major infection around the big toe nail which lasted ab 10 days to drain and heal... And I noticed my ingrown nail edges were still there somehow two-three days after this amazing, supposedly thorough pedicure..! No idea how that was possible. It is also a pricey pedicure, which had it not been for the infection and my nail edges painfully still in there, I would have said it is worth it. But as it stands now, sorry, we won't go back..

After waiting 2 or 3minutes, the nail tech said she could get me started but if the 5pm client showed up, she would have to pause my service and take the other woman who was now almost 20min late for her own appointment. I asked how long the other woman would take and she said 20-30minutes. I let her know that doesn't make sense to me and canceled my appointment. If someone is over 15min late for their appointment, why on earth should they be allowed to interrupt mine? I even offered to just wait until 5:30 but the woman informed me that if the other client showed up after 5:30, she would still pause my service and take her. Bad policy in my opinion. The photos online look like good work but I don't want to go to a place that would give priority to someone who doesn't respect their time or mine.

I like cosy, clean and tastefully decorated spaces. There needs to be a warm, safe and luxurious feel to the place and I avoid clinical over the top contemporary modern style or places where the girls have these vulgar manicures - no offense. Spasiba is well located on Boulevard de Waterloo. There is plenty of parking outside, so no stress. On arrival you are given a thick cotton dressing gown and comfortable slippers. Then you go through the doors and enter a safe haven of calm. A waiting room lit by candle lights, with oriental sofa beds filled with cushions and curtains for privacy. A sauna and a hammam are also an option prior your massage. After using the spa facilities, relaxing and drinking a infused tea which is placed at your disposal on a table in the waiting room, you are called for your massage. By the time it is finished you can go back to the waiting room and relax, use the spa or take a shower and go home. Last time my massage was so relaxing that I slept for 2 hours straight after! I would give you the names of the masseurs I recommend but if I do that then I might not be able to get appointments for myself any more! I recommend this place and for you to discover!!

My hair was a mess after the long flight from California and I needed a good stylist. I found this salon not too far from my hotel. The junior stylist who washed and blew dry my hair was so good that I didn't need to do anything for the first few days of my meeting. I came back the day before my departure to get color and cut. I was overwhelmed with the results by the senior stylist (there seemed to be only two women there). The price was very reasonable compared to what I pay in CA. I don't know if they speak English but I was able to communicate with them in my very limited French and hand gestures. I am definitely coming back during my next business trip here!

Honestly, I have NO idea how their waxing reviews are so great. I'm no stranger to waxing, but have NEVER had an experience like this. The woman waxing me didn't wear gloves and by the time I realized that she had been REUSING THE SAME WAXING STICK THROUGHOUT THE SESSION it was too late for me to do anything. During the wax, the woman kept opening the door and leaving while I was bottomless with my legs spread apart and wax left on my body. And then, even though I specifically kept asking, gesturing, etc. for her to leave a little hair on my labia because I have sensitive skin, she waxed it anyway. To add insult to injury, it has now come to my attention that she actually lifted patches of skin off of my pelvic area, leaving me with painful red blotches and an obvious burn. To her credit, when I expressed how upset I was with the wax, she didn't charge me. Thank goodness, though, because it has cost me that much at the pharmacy to pick up anti-bacterial sprays and creams just to try soothing the damage that had been done. Needless to say, I'm still livid. The kicker? When I asked to see the manager, it turned out that she was the manager. Thank you for not charging me, but this should never have been an issue.
