I really enjoyed this restaurant in its entirety. It is super clean and has stunning angles for any pictures anyone would like to take. They are super attentive but not over bearing. August 2023 Service: 3/5 We were pleasantly surprised by the efficient and friendly hostesses who promptly gathered our details, inquired about allergies, and asked if we were marking a special occasion. I shared that I was celebrating my BIRTHDAY. Within 20 minutes of being seated, a neighboring table also seemed to be commemorating a birthday. The staff brought out a cake adorned with a sparkler, and they joined in applauding to honor the young lady's special day. About 15 minutes later, another guest received a similar celebratory treatment. Naturally, I anticipated a similar celebration for myself. After our meal, when the waiter inquired about the check, my partner reminded them that it was my birthday, a detail we had already conveyed to the hostess. She assured us of something special. However, to my immense disappointment, we were presented with two modest ice cream cones instead of the anticipated birthday festivities or a sparkler. This experience left me feeling overlooked and disregarded. I'm unsure what miscommunication occurred, as I had clearly mentioned my birthday both before being seated and during the meal. The drinks are ok but they cannot explain in English what they are making. There is a sign with Spanish names but no descriptions. Most of the wine is Mexican and I was very pleasantly surprised by a red wine blend called Casa Madero 3V. The ambiance is similar to a Miami club restaurant. Most waiters do not speak English which is uncommon for a resort town like Cancun. Lastly, be careful on a hotel discount. We were told by Marriott it's 10%. But it was 10% on food. Since we had a cocktail, sparkling water, and a bottle of wine, the discount was actually 0.9%. So less than 1% overall. read more

We really enjoyed eating here. We came before the dinner crowd around 3 and their were lots of families with kids. A chips and salsa sampler with beans and cheese was given to us right away and we each ordered tacos. They had a lot of flavor and home made tortillas. We also ordered some delicious fancy drinks. They also gave us a small ice cream cone for dessert on the house. When we were leaving we realized they have a kids club upstairs in case you want to have a romantic adult dinner! We started with calamari "Chicharon el Pulp" appetizers, which were so tender and delicious. we received a yummy bean cheese dip with round tostadas along with four different salsas which was out of this world. The "Brisket Para Taqueara" cooked for over 12 hours accompanied with guacamole and homemade tortillas , it was out of this world, the brisket melts in your mouth, so incredibly tender and very flavorful. It came in a hot cast iron. Rib Eye Stake it's a must have, so juicy and tender very flavorful. "Espagueti Con Costillas Suave" OMG if your a pasta lover this I highly recommend this choice you will not be disappointed. The short ribs in this dish is amazing. For dessert we ordered the "Trufa De Chocolate" we are chocolate lovers so this was definitely our choice. Enough to share for party of four. Now let's talk about the service it was beyond excellent !! The servers do not miss a beat. Service is high end. Everyone is very nice you will be very impressed. A impromptu stop turned into a lovely dinner celebrating with friends. The food was amazing and the restaurant ambiance was special but not too fancy. We had a range of appetizers (cauliflower, bone broth soup, asparagus wrapped, braised brisket) that were all phenomenal. Entrees were equally tasty (steak, grilled squid, salmon). We topped the evening off with dessert from the restaurant celebrating that was s'mores on a plate that was to die for. A must stop in Cancun. Only issue we were a bit tired as it was late and didn't account for the time in the longer courses of appetizers to desserts. You're gonna want to dress up for this! Okay so my family has been talking non stop about how good this place is (but the one in Puerto Vallarta) so I was really looking forward to trying this place. Service was a little slow, be patient. I thought it was worth it! Ambiance is relaxing yet inspiring with the music videos playing in the background.We ordered a few appetizers, one of them being the cauliflower, and also calamari. Centro Ribeye was our main course, medium rare. But hey, if you're sharing (which you might want to) you can cook it a little longer on the stone it's served on (I personally did...). I came her with my wife for her birthday, which they noted at the entrance. Service was super slow, and they gave us a HUGE amount of fish, billed by the gram, which there was no way we could even eat half of. The waiter captain admitted that they should have given us a choice of fish size, but refused to make good on it other than comp a glass of wine which took them 40 minutes and multiple reminders to bring. Also they forgot my wife's birthday, although we enjoyed the birthday displays of neighboring tables. Music was loud. I recommend instead Entre Fuegos, Thai Restaurant, and Elefanta - all excellent. There is also a Japanese restaurant right near Elefanta which is outstanding. read more

You just cannot beat the hospitality and service in Mexico. I admit to being a spoiled American and like great service and well-timed courses. Upon entry into this beautiful restaurant, we were greeted by welcoming staff and taken to a lovely table with a bit of a view of the lagoon. Septien was our waiter and he knew the menu well, was cheerful, professional and unpretentious. I love when waiters have fun with their guests, crack little jokes and try to make your experience the best possible. Septien epitomizes what I consider classic Mexican hospitality. My fish and wilted spinach was absolutely perfect. I've actually never had spinach prepared like this - wilted, yes, but the flavoring, no. Wish they did the same in the States. The only thing they do with spinach in the US is sauté it in garlic which I absolutely hate. Drinks were great. My partner's had a very dramatic presentation. We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident. Even though it's near the Ferris wheel, it's a bit secluded. Wow. Great meal, all the way around. Not a lot of customers and I'm not sure why. Service was great (a little trouble with English) the decor was very sleek (geared towards a little younger crowd than other restaurants in the area -great music) and the view is really cool at night. Better do the g to oz conversion or you're heading home with a "to-go" bag. Drinks were smooth and the presentation was on point. I have been dining with the PRIME Group since 2017 and today is the first time I was disappointed. This is my go to restaurant group when hosting clients while in MX. From the first time dining with them I was blown away by the customer service, presentation and the overall 5 star experience. While I'm Cancun for the holidays with my family I decided to make a reservation for Christmas dinner. This would be their first time at a Prime Group restaurant and my first time dining with them in Cancun. We arrived about 10 mins early for our reservation and they host seemed surprised for what ever reason. I am still big on them from past experience. As always the decor was top notch and our table was great. We looked over the menu and we're ready to place our order and this was the start of a "different experience". The first 3 things were ordered we found out were SOLD-OUT. The Vegan Burger, The Catch of the Day and the cauliflower tacos. How do your in out of fish at 6;:30pm? We get the menu figured out and now we are set to eat. I'm a little embarrassed because I often rave about the Prime Group restaurants, today they are off to a weak start. We now the food arrives or what I thought. They drop off a single plate of pasta and walk away!?!?!? No explanation, no greeting, no nothing!!! I make contact with the manager who reluctantly approaches. I explain to him what just happened. We both know this is not how things are to be done. Again I have hosted business clients at their restaurants numerous times and never has this been the experience. He blames it on the waiter and says he will resolve in 5 mins or less. The kitchen is open and they are scurrying but it continues to get worse. My steak is burnt and lackluster. The rest of the food was also horrible. I was totally disappointed with the complete dining experience outside Of the decor. PRIME Group, Sonora Grill won't last long or be able to compete with the likes of Harry's and the others with the poor service that was executed tonight. Level UP!!! read more
