Every single day a week they have a different point of interest to focus on talking about. Monday's was usually sports talk, Wednesday's were wine talk, Thursday's they would talk about local businesses and Friday's were about movie reviews and music. I will say that the host, Steve Jaxon never failed to make me laugh with his one of a kind sense of humor. The producer, Mike DeWald, who has been there for 8+ years never failed to pull off a very well organized show and always brought in the coolest guests. Even though I no longer listen, it is the coolest radio station in Sonoma county and this means a lot coming from a person who never listened to radio in the first place! Tune in and you'll see what I'm saying!

They also do an awesome charity concert every year around Christmas called Chris-Mix where they collect toys for the Toys for Kids program and all of the ticket proceeds got to a charity. They're an awesome station to listen to at work as well as any other time of the day! Everyone should check them out!

Tonight there's a free showing of a Cesar Chavez film series coupled with the sale of a homemade tamales dinner, drinks, and snacks. I look forward to the movie and discussion afterwards because I enjoy being in a bilingual community. I gained knowledge about farmworkers and working conditions then and today in 2016. Tonight's film: Cesar Chavez, stars America Ferrera, Rosario Dawson, and Michael Peña. It retells how Cesar Chavez migrated with his family as farmworkers and organized change in Delano in 1962 by establishing UFW. I met Maggie and Kendra, representatives for " A Season of Nonviolence" modeled after the works of Cesar Chavez, Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr, and the Dalai Luma. Lizbeth Valdez will be directing a march for workers rights bill on April 3, 2016 at 2pm. Radio station KBBF 89.1 FM is the first bilingual station in America! After thought: I wish I could have learned about him, this organization, and the struggle sooner rather than later in a Chicano and Latinos Studies class back at Sonoma State University years ago.
