Stopped by on a roadtrip to grab food. Took a while to get service, the bathroom was gross and out of paper towels, chicken was so overcooked that I threw most of it away, and we weren't allowed to have our dog on the patio (no signs posted stating this btw). read more

I stopped in at the drive thru. After waiting for 5 minutes for the 1 car in front of me to give their order I went to the window. They said they were behind on Door Dash orders and the drive thru had to wait. There was no notifications for anyone waiting. I find it disappointing that customers that made the effort to actually physically go to the business are of lower quality and thus less important than customers that won't come to the business. I went to the competition and will continue to do so from now on. read more

This sonic had bad reviews but we wanted to give it a shot anyway.... We hit the button to order food and nobody ever came to help us order. We had to leave and find another place to eat. I would not give it another shot.. read more

We stopped by around lunchtime, and we ordered a few beverages at the drive-in. Their menu, as any other Sonics, is quite extensive, offering burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, breakfast items, snacks/side items, desserts, and beverages (slushes and shakes). The drinks were prepared well, and the staff were friendly. There were ample spots, and one could have a quiet and relaxing meal in their car under the shade. A nice pit stop if you're in the area and passing through. +fast & efficient service +plenty of spots read more

I want to give a shoutout to Seth at Sonic in Sterling . He was a very nice young man , very polite and my order was given to me in a timely manner. Kudos Seth. Thank You !! Great Job !! read more

Ordered a couple of drinks and took them 45 mins for just like 4 drinks??? Brother in Christ get your shyt together. To whoever owns the Sonic franchise here: We just got back from a Sonic run to grab lunch for the two of us and discovered some errors that require your immediate attention: Faulty intercoms: you need to test and make sure that your intercom system at each customer stall is working--#4 was ours and it wasn't. The voice cut in and out and evidently the employee couldn't understand us either. Staff training: someone finally came out after some minutes of confusion and wrote down our order the old fashioned way. Which was fine. Except they screwed up the order, which we didn't notice until we got home with it. Also, the bill seemed about $4 and change more than it should have been, based on your menu prices. Even the screwup of mixing a burger with a coneydog doesn't explain the charge. As a P.S., I also am curious why all the empty cars were parked in the stalls; on first glance it looks like an attempt to make it appear you're getting business you don't really have. Hoping you're able to correct these problems soon. Sterling would be the better for it. read more

Ordered 2 supersonic burritos and only received one and they will not answer the phone. So I had to reorder another burrito and eat the cost. read more

The staff are lazy and rude. They take an attitude and refuse to try to give any sort of true customer service. It takes over 20 minutes for a single meal to be completed, with no explanation, they give attitude when taking food to cars. The younger female who works here has NO work ethic, ignores customers, and gives massive amounts of attitude to door dash drivers. Speaking of doordash drivers, Sonic cusses them out and NEVER has their food ready on time, often taking an additional 20-30 minutes over the guaranteed ready time to prepare food. When asked when food will be ready, they will cuss you out and refuse to tell you, and have even threatened Doordash drivers and their customers who order through doordash with retaliation when asked to do their jobs correctly. The manager is rude, aggressive, and has no care for how she or her workers are perceived by the customers and clientele. I have not wanted to leave a review, even though I've been upset with this establishment for months now, and I have feared retaliation by the staff, but I cannot stand by when they cuss out my elderly mother for asking how much longer food will be after she'd already been waiting more than 20 minutes past the "ready by" time. The store needs a massive overhaul of staff because it does NOT meet Sonic standards, or if it does then Sonic standards have gone WAY down as well - because I used to work for sonic and I know their standards. read more

I stopped at this location to get some food for lunch and take a break from driving. I pulled into a spot and push the button and after a long wait was told that I have to use the drive-through. I explained I was going to eat there and was told they're not accepting orders anywhere, but the drive-through. There were five cars waiting in the drive through so I left and went to Subway where they were happy to have my business! read more

Service was horrible they forgot my #2 told me I didn't order it and when I asked if I could order it in that moment the young lady copped an attitude and said I would have to go all the way around to order again probably to save her drive time when it wasn't my mistake that caused my meal to be missing read more

You're better off avoiding this place. I have had one instance where I asked for the sugar-free drink they told me they didn't have sugar-free drinks. I am diabetic this is not the first time this has happened at a restaurant in this community. read more

If I could leave them no stars I would. Sat for 20 minutes no acknowledgment people were needing to go up to the door with the orders from online since nobody seemed to be working there. Second time I have been here, and the same result. Safe to say I won't be coming back. Horrible service for sure would not recommend. read more

I love sonic the employees are kind! I love the GM Carmen. Sonic had a rough time for awhile due to covid and the lack Of help like every other business in town! Sometimes you have to cut these businesses some slack! read more

One star is too generous! First let's start with the service: poor to be kind. The order taker was almost unintelligible over the speaker. That translated into an inordinate amount of time to receive our order. I wish it had never arrived. The chicken was cold. Otherwise it was great . Oh, the washroom was a disgrace....a public health officer should check it out. read more

If Carmen didn't want to do her job today that's fine. But let someone else serve my food without the unprovoked attitude. Dissappointing service and will most likely not return. read more

Because of my experience at this Sonic, I will never return to any Sonic. The person who took our order was rude and short with us. She didn't listen and didn't accommodate our requests. We were told we couldn't get an extra cup unless we paid for it, or paid for a drink, or paid for water. The wait was extremely long. The food was mediocre at best. Our mozzarella cheese sticks were dripping with oil. Never again, Sonic. You've lost a customer permanently. If this is how Sonic treats its customers, this chain isn't going to last long. read more

oh, you 1-star reviewers. It's Sonic. One must have reasonable expectations. Stick to the sweet treats, & you'll be happy. They have decent soft serve, like DQ but not as sweet. I've never been in Sterling, CO before & didn't know if the cops would have a problem with me parking my semi on the street to sleep. I asked at Sonic about who usually parks there, & the server went to the manager, & they said they'd back me up if anybody asked. I thought that was really nice. Woke up after taking my 10-hr break & walked over for some coffee. The call button didn't work the first time I pushed it, & I wasn't charged for my coffee, which was freakin hot. Nice people. It's a good Sonic. read more

On our way driving to Minnesota, we stopped here for lunch. I wish we'd kept driving. We never had Sonic since they don't have one anywhere near where we live and we were curious. Curiosity killed the cat. At the very least, I now know where not to stop on the way back home. read more

Lazy? Incompetent? Sabotage? I cannot comprehend how a person can't make a soft drink. Almost every time they do something to make our visit a disaster. I feel like they must be doing it deliberately. Nobody is that stupid. Never again. read more

Worst Sonic food ever! Cold tots, hard bun, sponge tasting chicken, tasteless green chili burger, waited for more ketchup and finally gave up. Very unsatisfied upon leaving. Spent $42 for 5 people. Never again!! read more

We have never had the best luck with getting our food or drinks in a timely manner at this Sonic and today was no exception. We placed the order through the app 30 minutes before our scheduled pickup time. We were pulling a trailer so could not pull into the parking lot without blocking several stalls so we parked right next door and walked up to get out order after checking in. The gal (manager I believe) that finally came to the door was rude, said the order hadn't been received and after I told her that it said it was ready she told me that they couldn't bring it to where we were parked but could meet us in a stall. I said that was fine. We waited an additional 10-15 minutes past our scheduled pickup time for our food to be brought out. The gal that brought the food out was very nice! The drinks were correct, burgers were warmish and totchos were good. Overall we were disappointed in the service as usual. read more

Only myself and 1 other vehicle there this afternoon. Took them 7 minutes just to take my order, only a drink. And I pulled up to the window only to wait another 10 minutes. The car in front of me was handed 2 drinks, that's it. And they took off. I pulled up to the window and gave the girl my card, when she handed it back in was distracted by my dog in the car and didn't realize her handing it back, she just threw it in my car onto my lap. I proceeded to tell her thank you and she slammed the window in my face. I finally got my drink and it was not what I asked for, I politely reminded them I wanted an ocean water, which is blue. The first drink was red. They took another 6 minutes making the right drink for me. It was ridiculous and the staff looked to be very unhygienic and were goofing around with wet towels. read more

I love Sonics but this is the worst Sonics I have been to, EVER!!. Extremely long wait times. It seems like they are always understaffed. Employees have good customer service but they never have enough or they seem to take their time. read more

While the restaurant itself is clean and the staff appear nice, we unfortunately had complications with our drive thru order. We ordered bacon cheese burgers and got double bacon cheese burgers. We also ordered cheddar bites, which were left off the order. When we asked to have them added at the window, they brought us jalepeno poppers instead. If we had more time to straighten things out then I am sure they would have complied, but being on a business paid road trip we didnt have the luxury of time. I would recommend they freshen up on their own menu to prevent this from becoming a common occurance. read more

The lady was very rude very unprofessional and I really didn't appreciate her attitude will I eat here again probably not will my friends and family here again probably not thank you read more

Not many options in Sterling....it's basic fast-food, but the double cheeseburgers were pretty darn tasty, and the manager is an extremely friendly, hard-working guy. Went out of his way to make a couple first-timers feel welcome. Would definitely stop back in next time I am in Sterling. read more

Hard buns, wrong size drink and got cold tots. I wouldn't come back and don't plan on it

I love sonic, but the Sterling sonic is a complete joke! After paying with a card, I waited an hour and a half for my food. Never going back there again. read more

The worst Sonic I've ever been to. The service at this establishment is consistently poor. The length of time you have to wait for your order, even when all you're ordering is drinks, is completely unreasonable. When you finally do get your order they don't get it right half the time. I'm always hopeful that they have hired better staff to work this establishment but every time I give this place another chance I'm disappointed. read more

We stopped at the Sonic in Stirling on way home (rapid City), this sonic is awful, and disgusting! Never stopping there again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Horrible service. They forgot something in our order that we paid extra for and it wouldn't have been a big deal if we didn't give the kid a 4$ after waiting 15 minutes for 2 blast's. I then walked to the door (so that they didn't have to be in the cold) to let them know. I stood out there for 10 minutes after being looked at twice in the eye and knocking while a cashier was there I decided to go to the drive through where my girlfriend and I were met with what seems to be a "manager" with attitude and left with two liquid drinks. Worst sonic I've been to so far. read more
