My family ordered food from the Sonic @273 E Hwy 152 in Mustang today. I ordered the Chicken fried steak sandwich and my wife and son ordered the Smasher burgers. When my sone got home with the food the Chicken Fried steak sandwich was missing and there was an extra fry. Thanks! My son's smasher burger had ingredients spread all over the inside of the box and the fries were only 3/4 full. This is not the first time the quality control has been subpar. i hadn't even tried my drink yet. But, the drinks usually taste like watered down dishwater. I know, redundant. We would like for there to be a higher standard in the food-service industry. But, until the pay allows a worker to make ends meet, we will probably never see it. I like to use local businesses because, even if they are a franchise, the franchise is often owned by a member of the community. But this kind of service makes it hard for me to keep supporting them. You have got to be fan-freaking-tastic to get 4 stars out of me for a fast food chain restaurant. As far as fast food goes, first of all I'm a Sonic fan. I love their corn dogs. I stuff my burger with tator tots. And I want my diet cherry limeade with light ice. I get all this at the Sonic in Mustang. Is it lightening fast like McDonalds? Nope and I don't want it to be. A little bit of extra time means someone didn't nuke my food. They lose a star because the guy on skates doesn't work there anymore. Order on the app for speedy service. I wait longer than if I pulled up and ordered. Cars pulled up after I did, placed their order, got it and left. I finally saw on the screen that the carhop was heading my way with the order. 4/5 minutes later, nothing. I get out and go to the patio speaker and press the RED BUTTON. I'm told my order will be right out. NOPE. 3/4 minutes, I go to my car and leave. They got my money but I got no food. I'll be fine. Just won't be back to that location. So I press the button and then someone comes. If I would have known it was gonna take 22 minutes for me to get my food I would have gone somewhere else. I never leave reviews, but this time I had to. I'm currently sitting in my car waiting on my food. I ordered four small snack items. First of all, when I pushed the button they didn't even answer me the first time. I took a phone call in the midst of waiting. I had to push the button again after like five minutes. Obviously they're a little busy, so I wasn't too mad about waiting. What really got under my skin, was watching this carhop leisurely doing her job. I wouldn't have been as upset as I am writing this review if I saw her keeping pace. Efficiency is the best policy, and I just don't think Sonic hit the mark today. It's national hotdog day and Sonic was offering $1 hotdogs. I should have know better because I quit going here years ago. Called in the order picked them up and brought them home and sure enough 4 out of the 10 I ordered was wrong and they were cold. It's sad this place used to be good. You might get a good drink here but the food sucks and has for a long time, they just don't care. I'll continue to drive out to the Reno and Mustang road location when I want Sonic. read more

This is the WORST Sonic you will EVER go to! I cannot emphasize that enough. They have a bunch of children working here, and it shows. I placed an order at 5:39, and didn't get my food (a hotdog and fries) until 6:01. NEVER has my order been correct. I always have to tell them they forgot something, or return a hot dog or corndog because it was burnt to crap! They overcook everything, and always forget condiments when you ask for them. I could go on and on, but hopefully I got my point across. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE YOU LEAVE, SOMETHING WILL BE WRONG WITH YOUR ORDER. I'm sorry to say it but our sonic is TERRIBLE. We have given it many tries, but the food is bad. I've ordered burgers and the patty was ice cold and hard as a rock. Then we told them about the problem and they gave us another burger that was warm and hard as a rock. It tasted as if it had been on the grill for 3 days. Every few years I suffer from memory loss and goto this sonic. I am then promptly reminded why, they must NEVER change the oil in the fryers... if they do anything at all I assume they must only drain a portion out and top it off with fresh when it gets too old to use anymore. Reason I say that is EVERYTHING thats put in the fryers tastes the same, it tastes like what I would imagine a burned onion ring thats been living under the couch coushins for 6 months absorbing fart dust would taste like. The drinks that they advertise on their own menu escape them, order a medium frozen lemonade get a regular lemonade, order the exact same masterblast 3 nights in a row (nothing fancy or extra added just one of flavors they have listed on the menu) and get 3 vastly different concoctions of what you actually ordered. Fries and tots are always half full and most of the time your shake or malt or blast or whatever else only fills 3/4 of the cup and are only partially mixed leaving sand traps of malt powder in your malts and poorly mixed in fixins in your sonic blasts or fixins that are still at the bottom of the cup because they put those in before the ice cream but again only partially mix it .. and again thats if they even get the fixins right most of the time they forget how to make a cherry vanilla dr. pepper or frozen lemonade or a limeade or a waffleberry brownie masterblast so you wind up with a cherry coke, regular lemonade, a cherry limeade, and a waffleberry masterblast with no brownie but about 10,000 chocolate chips for some reason ?? I cant comment on the other food items because I gave up eating there years ago. My recent visits have been for drinks and as you can see they struggle with drinks so theres no point in going here. The sonic logo draws you in but its more like going to a sonic thats owned by the mad hatter. read more
