It's fast food on a busy street in Kearns. Service is mediocre more times than not. Food is okay, but quicker than other places we've been in the area. Our regular items: Sonic Double Cheeseburger combo with onion rings or tots (depending on what I feel like) - good cheeseburger, just messy when I open the wrapper with all the toppings and condiments). Chili Cheese Coney - not bad, not amazing. I have never had a drink from here I didn't like, but Cherry Limeade is my go to. Same goes for their shakes. Some of our regular items have been discontinued but we do like trying new things from time to time. I went there tonight (I've been here many times) and the person on the intercom could not hear us. Instead of coming out when he couldn't hear us clearly due to the cars and outside noise, he would rather us yell our order to which he still got wrong until the 4th time of repeating it. Why do I come here when I know the service is going to be crap as it is 9/10 times we've been here? Because it happens to be the one nearest to my home and it was the craving of the moment. Please for the love of fast food, quit your job if you do not want to do the bare minimum of customer service. No one is asking for you to butcher the cow for the meat or peel every potato by hand for the tots, but basic common sense and common courtesy would go a long way for those that want to grab their food and go home. read more

Literally everything could improve. I waited over 10 minutes for my food. When I finally got it. It wasn't what I ordered and didn't include any of the sauces I had requested in the app order. Hello, On March 7th around 11:50 PM, I placed an online order and received French toast sticks. After I drove off and parked to eat, I realized there was no syrup in the bag. I went back through the drive-thru and asked for syrup. At first there was no response, so I said hello again. The employee then told me that he had already given it to me. I explained that I had zero syrup in my bag and simply asked if I could get one. He then said he would have to charge me for it. I told him I never received syrup in the first place and had no reason to lie about something like that. Eventually he asked me to pull around and came outside to give me one. I mentioned that it shouldn't have been that difficult just to get a syrup packet, and he said he wasn't arguing with me. Honestly, I don't think anyone should have to argue with an employee over a syrup packet they never received. I come to this location regularly, usually once or twice a week, and I've never had an interaction like this before. Needed a snack for 8 hungry kids after the trampoline park. This was close and kids love the chili cheese tots. Also, using the ap got us a freee burger. We ordered on the app and drove over here. Easy location, friendly. Took a bit of time to get the stuff, but I only gave them like two minutes from the app order time to arrival. We ordered two drinks with EASY ICE. One of our drinks had easy ice, the other clearly had EXTRA ice (more than half of the cup was filled with ice). We told the girl who brought us the drinks and she said "there's probably nothing we can do about it", then she leaves to go talk to the manager. She comes back and says "it's only ice, so there's nothing we can do" then walks away. Um, how about remake the drink with a lot less ice? The cup was over half full of ice! Also, the other cup was leaking from the bottom (there was hole in it). These people are incompetent and seriously want $15 an hour? They don't deserve it. Minimum wage for maximum losers. read more

I sat in the drive thru for 10 minutes. Nobody took my order. I pulled up and asked if anyone was working the drive-thru. The worker told me doesn't really work, but I can drive back over and try again. There were other cars behind me, and I suggested she take my order. She said she can't. I drove away. I am trying to be patient with the shrinking workforce, but at some point I have to be able to order my food. If Sonic can't serve me, I won't waste my time being there. This will be my 3rd review. 3 years of going to this place. I go back with a friend, coworker or shake night. Every order I get either is wrong (that's okay, high demand brings rushes) old and cold (it happens but consistently?) but food poisoning, sour/ spoiled ice cream mixed into shakes?!, old, half cooked burgers, bad chicken, and hot dogs that instantly give ya stomach problems is downright scary. I've talked to the manager a couple times. Each time they rave about getting better, only to get worse over years of operation. After phone calls (I've been hung up on, answered and hung up on) in person discussions, multiple failed comments asking for a response back, emails and even taking the food in person to talk with someone who is credited. I came here last night to get a bag of ice. According to the website, they were open until midnight. I pulled into the parking lot at 11:02pm and as I pulled in, they shut the lights out. I was confused. As I pulled into a parking stall a lady opened the door and yelled, "We're closed" . I said, "your website says that you are open until midnight. I just need a bag of ice, is there any way that you can sell me that? I will pay cash". Her response was, "Nope! We switched over to winter hours" and then closed the door. I was a bit shocked. I went to sonic to get a RT 44 DP with white coconut. Is that a difficult order? No. I parked, ordered, paid and waited.....13 minutes! For a drink..... if I hadn't already paid I would have driven away but instead I pushed the button again and made them cancel my order. No apology. Sonic you family friendly SOB! I haven't been to sonic in years but I was having hunger pains for some onion rings and it was the closest thing next to me. Family style? I didn't know they offer family style appetizers and sides for shy of nothing costs. For $5.50 I received two large boxes of onion rings that my friend and I couldn't finish- and we have big appetites. Their onions are sweet and fresh and I really enjoyed them. Too bad the onion rings don't come with dipping sauce but the Asian in me was prepared because I went home and whipped out sweet chili sauce lol. I placed an order through the app for 1 shake and 1 drink. Their tracking screen showed my order was done and would be delivered about 5 minutes after I arrived. When my items never showed I called inside and was assured it would be out soon. When I finally received my drink and shake it was 30 minutes after their receipt showed I paid. I called in to ask the manager why my order took so long and "Elodia" snapped that I was being "disrespectful" and "coming at her with an attitude". I will be contacting the general manager tomorrow when she comes on duty as current staff wanted to yell at me for inquiring why things took so long. I will never frequent this Sonic again. There was actually no one in any of the stalls I was literally the only person there for them to help.. and I pull up and I waited a while to even get a greeting so I thought "maybe they're closed" so I googled the hours as I'm still waiting for a response and they are in fact open at 4:19 pm believe it or not. Finally someone says "what can I get you" and I ask for a drink that's all I ordered.. to my surprise. No response. Not a total. Not sorry one second. If you're in the middle of something I get it. Sonic have a whole lot of choices. They have some amazing slushies and by far the best Ice in town. They also have the slowest service in town. There are many times that my family wants to go there and we decide not to because of the slow service. read more
