The second time, some of my friends got there first and were unable to get inside. I believe there were 3 guys and 4 girls. The staff said that they were having a private event. My 2 girl friends and I tried entering later that night and we were able to get in, so that means they were just lying about having a private event. The music wasn't even good. We left and went to HI Life and had a better night there. Even if you split into smaller groups, you would still have a hard time getting in especially if you are male.

The music ranges from 80s, 90s pop to house, simple, yet easy to dance to and not so loud that it's hard to talk to your friends. The drinks are a bit of a hit/miss, especially the cocktails but I find this quite natural for a bar/club here in Stuttgart. Since it's right next to a club, it can get pretty crowded, but not too much that it gets annoying. If you come during the weekdays, maybe a little early, the place is quite empty, which can be a good second stage for a light drink with some light music. The seating arrangements can be comfortable, as long as it doesn't get TOO crowded, which in that case, it's better to just stand up or dance. Very casual, comfortable, maybe a bit hipster even. Not too young, but not so old you feel like you are falling asleep. The bar also hosts mini concerts by bands from different cities and countries, which makes it fun to enjoy with a nice drink. Overall, I like Schocken and can't point my finger to anything extremely terrible. The hit/miss cocktails were the reason for the four stars.

Me and a friend went here Friday. We heard Friday nights were hip hop/ R&B night but when we got…read morethere it was a special night. The guy at the door said special night with dancers etc. We paid 15 euro and it was Spanish music all night with people dancing the night away. It was nice to watch but we thought they had people performing. Upstairs was open also and it was African music. So the night was interesting I don't really listen to any of this type of music so it was nice to hear something differant. But the door entry was overpriced to me. I had Red Bull and vodka all night they were priced around 8 euro. The bar service was good and fast but the drinks were just ok. I felt like I was just drinking Red Bull. My overall experience was just ok. A few friends told me this place was ok on Friday nights when it's hip hop night so I may try to come here again since there's no entry fee. There's not many places in Stuttgart that play hip hop besides City nightclub so we will see.

Then it was a 30 minute walk to the dorms. We've been to the other clubs nearby but this was the best one. The music and vibe is great. They have rnb and hip hop music as well as latina night. The music caters to international ERASMUS students. Drinks are cool too. The staff do not discriminate like at the nearby clubs. They have a coat check area.

But when I called up in phone to enquire about the entrance, they said you can just pay the entrance and we can let you in. So it's quite contradictory how they work. The bouncers straight away stopped us from entering, saying you aren't allowed inside, period, seeing our dark skinned faces, whereas the other people were allowed inside without any objection
