Excellent motel. The owners are very nice. Rooms are clean. Very good price. This is a great place to stay for one night or many nights.

I've stayed at this BW in the past & it was ok. This time…read morearound (July 17/18 2022) was just bad. And I won't be going back. The staff was very nice & accommodating. However... I was originally put in room 107. The room was seriously dingy. In all respects. Bad enough to where I asked to be moved. The employee was very nice & upgraded me to a king suite, room 201. Unfortunately room 201 was just as bad. Everything felt dirty. And old. There was one lamp missing a lightbulb. Not really a big deal, but in general, the lighting is very poor. The "bedspread" appeared to have poop on it... I removed it immediately! The sheets (and this goes for room 107 too) were pilly & should be thrown out. I ended up putting a towel over the sheet for sleeping. The furniture was falling apart & as a quick fix, they applied black electrical tape as well as black marker. Then - the following morning when I went for coffee. The coffee machine splattered all over. The employee was there watching and said that the spattering was the way it is supposed to work. Then on the way back to my room, I noticed by the call button to the elevator that the EMERGENCY BUTTON/KEY ENTRY for the fire department was an empty hole with some wires sticking out. Since I had already been upgraded to a king suite, I didn't ask to change rooms for a second time. I figured this is the best they have to offer & would spend the night & never return! This hotel is in serious need of a refresh! And I'd bet if the local building inspector was to check it out, they would FAIL the inspection. I have pics & hoping I'll be able to attach. 2 stars because the employees were nice. Otherwise it would be a MINUS 5 !

Well...I suppose I should've looked here first, but...let's just say lesson learned. Check in was…read morefine, but that's where the line stops. The elevator was sketchy when we started up to our room (dropped a few inches with one step in the door, panel with floor buttons was loose/missing screws). Upon entering our room, we immediately noticed soiled bed covers on one bed, stains of who knows what on the bed skirt of the other bed, spills/stains/stuff on the carpet between the two beds, the door in the bathroom had ridiculous fingerprints/stains (who knows when that had last been cleaned). When calling to the front desk to request clean linens, I was told there was no housekeeping staff on the premises, that I could come get them myself. When I told the front desk clerk that she really needed to see this herself, she came up and even photographed the stained bedding. You'd think our stay would be on the upswing, right? Ha! It gets better...we'll, worse. Upon retuning to the hotel for the evening (note here: side entry that's supposed to be with key card only was unlocked), my family and I went to the elevator to go up to our room. Remember that sketchy feeling from our arrival? Well, we pressed our floor button, door closes, and we start to move. And then stopped. And nothing. No further movement. No door opening. No buttons working. Nothing. NOTHING. ELEVATOR STUCK. The light indicated a different floor than what we pressed. Door wouldn't open. Some how, I had cell service in said elevator, and called the front desk. After some disbelief by the night staff, she said she'd have to call someone, as she didn't know what to do. We could hear some yelling from outside, presumably from front desk staff. Help coming. But they had to call police/fire department because they didn't know what to do/how to help us. So we waited. And waited. And waited. Power went out twice (guessing they were trying to reset the elevator???). Finally, elevator moves. We got out on whatever floor it stopped on. I believe we were stuck inside for 20-30 minutes. We encountered a young man going towards elevator, and we told him not to take it. His response? "Ya, there's people stuck in it...ha ha! I work here" We indicated that WE were those people, and he still found it quite amusing. (I didn't). Another staff member entered the hallway (via stairs) with two officers in tow. Again, we indicated that we had been the ones in the elevator. She and Police officers first checked for our well-being, then proceeded to take our information for an incident report. The manager came up as well, and offered to comp our room. At check out, we find front desk staff who had no idea of the night's ordeal. Full charges on our bill. Manager requested a comp, but OWNER said that "the issue was with the elevator, not the room. It was an inconvenience for all guests, so room would not be comped". Even when I stated again, that it was not merely an inconvenience to us, we were the ones affected...no. Just a "sorry" from desk clerk. A call to Best Western Customer Care Services was not much better. I got my points back and some additional, but not even enough to be equal to a nights stay. Do not recommend this place at all. (Wish I didn't have to give them a star at all)
