I have read reviews on here about people not getting paid for work they did on assignments, and now I have experienced it personally! On 10/29, I was sent on assignment, but it was not a good fit for me so called the Avondale office to let them know this. As of today (11/14), I have STILL not received payment for this assignment. I have left voicemails with the Avondale office who originally told me about the assignment...the corporate office in Ohio...and the Phoenix office, where the recruiter for the company is located and, of course, none of the voicemails have been returned. Undoubtedly the worst employment agency I've had the displeasure of working with. The Scottsdale office set up an interview for me at a well-known Third Party mortgage sweatshop. I advised them that this employer doesn't take anyone with less than five years of experience. They prefer not to train you, wait until you're desperate for a job, and then hire you for much less than industry standards. However, I thought that maybe things had changed over the years. Even more so when I got a call from their HR for an interview. Full of hope, I went to the interview, where I was met by two very rude and extremely unpleasant "ladies". It became apparent immediately that they felt they were wasting their time cause I've had too many jobs. Really? My resume states "contractor" in every job title. I've worked for every major bank, and I've successfully completed every assignment. Banks being what they are, they're not in the hiring mood. After they ripped my resume and basically called me a liar because of my numerous job assignments, I told them I didn't think I would be a good fit and left Being a professional contractor, I wrote an after interview email to the recruiter explaining what happened and to please not consider me for any of their assignments. No response. Today, I received a call from the SAME recruiter for a job in downtown Phoenix working in a bank's call center...their CREDIT CARD call center! I'm a MORTGAGE LOAN PROCESSOR, I've NEVER worked in a call center...heck, I don't even own a credit card. Okay, lady, let's see what you're offering. Below industry wage. First red flag. Will they wave the standard $53.00 per month parking fee? "Ummmmmmmm. I'll check back with you." Which she won't. This agency needs to stick with what they know best. Warehouse work, light industry, reservation call centers, etc. They HAVE NO clue about the banking industry, much less in dealing with professional loan processors. My recommendation? Poor service with all employees. They all act very stuck up. They tell you that you have a job, give you the client info., and then call later saying their boss won't let you start. They enjoy lying to struggling individuals with barely enough money for gas to get out there to find work, and they laugh at it like you don't matter. This is a pretty good employment agency that does a nice job of placing people in positions. Though they do some administrative/clerical placements, this branch in particular specializes more in labor/warehouse jobs so if you're looking for office/clerical work I'd advise you to look elsewhere. They do have a Tempe office that specializes in clerical placements but I had a bad experience with them over the phone that went like this: I was registered at the 3rd street branch before realizing they specialize in labor jobs. I was told by staff member Janet that I could just call the Tempe office and ask them to look for jobs for me. I made a call to them one day and a woman named Veronica (who discovered later is not very nice or professional) answered the phone. I told her I am a current employee and my record is at the Phoenix branch but would appreciate it if they would consider me for office positions since that's my area of specialty. After that there was a brief pause and the sound of the phone hanging up. That is no way to conduct business and also makes me wonder why the Phoenix branch couldn't just share my information with the Tempe branch. For goodness sakes, if I'm already an employee why then do I need to do the work for them. I mean isn't that part of what staffing consultants do? Administering evaluations, placing candidates and contacting other branches about current candidates? That experience lead me to believe that the Solutions Staffing offices here in AZ do a poor job of communicating with one another or there is some type of competitive issue or bad blood running between the different branches or just certain ones. But anyway, the staff at this location however is friendly and most of them are bilingual so it is a good place to go for those that speak English a second language that are looking for labor jobs. As of this posting, there is no need to schedule an appointment as walk-ins are welcomed to come in Monday through Friday at 9am and at 1pm only. Parking is relatively easy to find and the offices are clean and inviting. As with any agency, bring two forms of ID, try to have a current copy of your resume ready (this agency welcomes it but is not required) and be prepared to stay at least 2 hours to fill out paperwork, be interviewed and take any skills evaluations that may be administered.
