Just got back last night after another fabulous week in Mexico…read more As always, I entrusted Penny Timberlake at Bonita Travels with planning the trip for us and another couple. And true to form, as always, Penny took care of every single aspect, so our entire experience was smooth as silk. The consistent attention to detail and level of communication is above and beyond anything I could reasonably expect or hope for. I absolutely recommend reaching out to Penny for any vacation planning, to ensure it all goes perfectly!

This was my first time ever using a travel agent, but after my experience with Bonita Travels, it will not be the last! My Travel Consultant Linda Fox was amazing!! Having basically no travel experience leaving the country and being a physically disabled brain injury survivor, this could have been a very stressful situation for me. Traveling out of the country involves so many different components pertaining to booking flights, hotels, and extreme pressured situations. Without Linda's service, I would have bowed out lol. My trip was 4 nights stay at the S Hotel in Montego Bay, Jamaica! Linda was top notch, making sure all the arrangements I needed were in order pertaining to my accommodation. The Wheelchair Assistance and pre boarding service were amazing!! They took care of everything for me. All I did was hand the needed documents to my helper, and they gave it to ticket takers, bag handlers, etc.! A few weeks before my trip, Linda informed me that the hotel gave away my Interior Non-Ocean View Mini King Room!!! Linda quickly corrected the error and got me UPGRADED to COMPLIMENTARY Ocean front view room!! On top of that, I was moved next door to my travel companions!! Linda contacted the American Airlines to set me and my plus one with special service. She also booked us into the Club Mobay (just a blessing)!!! Bonita Travels have set the bar very high for any other travel agents for me. Saying that, why fix what's not broken lol. I will gladly use Bonita Travels and my VIP agent Linda, the next time I travel out the country!!

Since…read morethen, they are under new ownership and I had fingers crossed that they would be just as good and they are! Barbara Beam helped to plan an important "Girl's Trip" for me and my friends to the Dominican Republic. We had such a wonderful and memorable time there! It took a long time to plan as we were quite indecisive at first. Barbara was patient and there for us every step of the way to make recommendations. She listened and asked questions to help narrow down exactly what we did (and did not) want. She nailed it! The entire trip (and planning) was seamless with her help. Throughout the planning, we never felt rushed and had all questions answered even up until the week we were leaving. We didn't have to really "think" too much on this holiday. All documents were given to us ahead of time, transportation was booked, and we felt very comfortable that we would be able to reach her during our trip at any point if needed. I will absolutely book trips with Barbara at Travel Experts of Cary again. Can't wait!

It offers FBO services and I believe that there are some flight schools operating here as well. I was here because of https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/laurinburgmaxton-aircraft-boneyard on Atlas Obscura. The airport is home to some former commercial aircraft that are in various states of disrepair. The airport property is completely closed and fenced off. Because it's a live airport, trespassing is going to get you in trouble with the FBI so absolutely do not cross the fence line! That said, there are a few aircraft that you can still see and photograph from groundside. Especially if you have a decent zoom capability on your camera. My Google Pixel 4 did a more than decent job as you can see here. If you've got better, then it's going to look good for you. It's interesting and sad and a little disheartening to see these aircraft here, rusting and falling apart. Worth a stop if you're in the vicinity.
