Real, good bars are closing at a rapid rate. Now That's Class, Tick Tock Tavern, Lido Lounge, Ugly Broad and the list goes on. Sometimes I feel like a motherless child. As Townes Van Zandt said "Don't you take it too bad now." There will always be watering holes where common folk gather for conversation and camaraderie. Solid Gold is just that, solid and golden! Beautiful barstools, friendly folks inside and great deals. As the city gets gentrified it just takes a little bit more digging to find the gold nuggets. read more

First time coming here, wanted to find a great place to go too for a night out. This place is really solid, there's no food here but there's plenty of seats here and even an outdoor section as well. The area is a bit run down around the bar too. Staff was really friendly, guests are really great, it's definitely not a rowdy bar. Great priced drinks as well, they have a solid happy hour and even events throughout the months as well. read more

We live in Brook Park and decided to stop in last evening. The bartender is very sweet and the patrons were too. Happy Hour well drinks are only 2.00. I'm sure we will be back. They also have pinball,pool,darts,bowling machine and an excellent juke box. read more
