I would definitely visit this place again and I highly recommend this establishment. I would not be surprised if this was one of the top tanning spa's in the Hamilton area.

I enjoy my tanning experiences at Sol Exotica but will explain why I gave it only 4 stars instead of 5. First of all, there are three levels of tanning beds: Level 2, 3, and 4. There is only one "Level 3" bed and two Level 4 beds, one of which is a stand-up bed. When I started tanning here I went with a friend and we both used the same level 3 tanning bed. This makes the trip take double the time as you have to wait for your friend to tan and for the bed to be cleaned before taking your turn, though that is a very minor issue if you have a bit of extra time. The Level 4 beds are much better if you are looking to be noticeably tanned. I think I got more colour using the Level 4 bed in just two weeks than I did using the Level 3 bed for a month. The Level 2 beds are small and uncomfortable in comparison to the other higher-level beds, though if you've never tried the others you won't notice any problems. I also dislike the fact that no tanning room has mirrors within it. As someone who likes to put on lotion before tanning, I find it difficult to have to use a small makeup compact to do so. Again, this is a very minor issue but if I'm comparing it to Sans Sole (the only other tanning salon I've been to and reviewed), they have mirrors in every room and more than one of the main level beds. On the other hand, I gave Sol Exotica four stars because they also offer spray tans and even some spa equipment, though I have not taken advantage of these things. The pricing is great - for an unlimited monthly package it starts at $19.99, going up $20 as the level of bed you use increases. There is a $50 start-up membership fee which you can waive if you purchase a lotion of equal or higher value. Most avid tanners would take advantage of this opportunity and it makes the deal seem very good. You can also purchase single sessions but if you tan more than twice a month, it becomes a better deal to buy a membership. All in all, I love Sol Exotica and had I not had another salon to compare it to, I could see myself giving it 5 stars. I'd recommend this salon for anyone in the area who likes to tan in a friendly environment while listening to good music.

There was no reach out or effort made from the owner to correct this or to apologize. They were not willing to work with me for a return on this, even after less than 10 days since purchasing faulty jewellery. I have spent HUNDREDS of dollars at this store, and am a loyal customer. However, this was so disappointing and such a WASTE of my money. I will not be coming back and I would not recommend this store to anyone. The tanning beds are fine, but every tanning salon is the same, hopefully customers will have better luck at other salons.

They also have a location in Milton. They have great packages, including unlimited minutes. Quite often they have deals where you buy certain types of lotions, you can get some free minutes. You can walk-in, but if it's busy you may have to wait a few minutes until the bed you want is free. Otherwise, by appointment is great, you walk-in, no wait. In terms of pricing, it is a little expensive, but for the service, the quality of the beds, and the good hours, it's totally worth it. I attempted to go somewhere else, walked in, and had the most miserable lady at the desk, so I walked out. Since, I have never gone anywhere else. I've been to Sun Haven for about 6 years. I will never go anywhere else for tanning.
