Definitely worthwhile museum to visit if you enjoy military history. If you have young children, they have an activity for the kids to do. The information on the displays were very informative and easy to grasp simulate. They were brief enough that I didn't feel like I was reading a book and lengthy enough that I felt like I came away with a sufficient understanding of key people and events. The information seemed unbiased and objective. you could probably get through the museum in about an hour or less depending on how much time you wanted to really spend. Overall, I enjoyed the displays and presentations.

This was a beautiful memorial and museum. It was pretty small, but well organized and informative. It is also free to enter, which is always a plus! It is right next to the Central Public Library which is also a beautiful building to explore (also free to enter)!

These are representative of some of the weapons that our soldiers used.

Dad and I visited the Missouri Soldiers Memorial on Sunday, 12 December 2021. It is a cool place! The memorial is divided into two parts. As I recall, in one part, we read about, and see items representing things that happened or things that were used, from the time of the American Revolutionary War to the Spanish-American War. In the other part, we read about, and see things representing objects and activities from the time of World War I to the present day. For those who are interested in or fascinated by military history, I highly recommend this museum!

I never knew this place existed until I was walking over to Washington Avenue from The Peabody Opera House. I'd seen the building, but always thought it was either a court house or part of the library. To my surprise it is a very well kept museum for our soldiers. I was amazed how well maintained the building and displays were kept. How have I lived in STL for 33 years and never visited our Soldiers Memorial. Saint Louis has many well kept secrets and this is one of them. Don't let this hidden jewel remain a secret, visit it soon and tell those history buffs you know that this is a must see on your next visit downtown.

I don't give out 5 stars very often but this museum absolutely deserves it. I was glad to have gone while visiting St. Louis & believe everyone should come here, not just the arch. I never would have guessed how amazing this museum was going to be. I am not a history buff at all & actually am opposed to war. I basically read through every single thing they had on both floors (look up at the ceiling too), so yes definitely take the time to go through both sides & downstairs. The volunteers who work there are super friendly & so helpful too. I was amazed at how they had so much history & artifacts over the years. The items on display along w/ how it's displayed is simply beautiful. I learned so much while viewing it & imagine everyone will as well. The stories they incorporate are what really makes it so touching & real. Whether events/rallies that took place outside their doors or the local people who were touched by war, it is all here. Simply mesmerizing. As a New Yorker, 9/11 has significant meaning & I teared up reading the display they had because it was so touching. Add this to your list of things to see while you're there, you will not be disappointed. Just soak it all in.

The energy in the room was lively, social, and full of people genuinely excited to try bites from some of the best local spots. There was an impressive variety of vendors, cuisines, and creative dishes that made every stop feel like a new experience. It's the perfect event to attend with friends while discovering restaurants you may not have tried yet. Everything I tasted was delicious and beautifully presented. The atmosphere never lost its excitement and charm. You could feel how much pride each vendor had in showcasing their best bites. It's a fantastic way to celebrate the local food scene all in one place. The only reason for four stars is timing and quantity -- the two-hour general admission window (with it being a sold out event) didn't feel like enough time to make it to every area. A few vendors had already run out of food by the time we reached them (lines to get samples were also long), which was a little disappointing. It would be great to see either a slightly longer event window or for vendors to come with more servings. Overall, it's still an event I would absolutely recommend and definitely attend again!

One of the best parts is that general admission is free which makes it super accessible and easy to spend as much (or as little) time as you want without feeling pressured. Great for both a quick visit or a longer afternoon. It's one of the best attractions in St Louis with a surprisingly deep collection. Definitely worth visiting especially if you're already in Forest Park.

When we returned for the tour I was stunned. This is a great, late house by Wright that has many magical and playful elements to it. It's has most of the original furnishings and something totaling unexpected in a Usonian house--art glass windows. The tour guide was new and did an excellent. It is not in the nicest of neighborhoods, which would explain why the door is locked and you have to ring a bell to be let in, even during business hours. Inside, there is a gift shop area where you can purchase a variety of miniature items. Many of them are vintage, although I recognized lots of them as pieces I've previously purchased on Amazon too. The word "vintage" is probably the most appropriate here. The whole place has a smell like an antique store and most of the houses look to have been built in the 1970's-1990's. There are many intricate houses and dioramas, so many things to look at! My personal style is more modern rather than grandma-chic, but I definitely appreciate the love and attention that went into building each of these pieces. Most of them are donated from family members when the artist leaves an estate behind. It was a really fun visit and I'm glad to have checked out the museum.
