My best friends mom was found unresponsive in her room about 1030-11 am. The aid said she had been…read morelike that since 7 am. They left her in that condition for over 3 hours. She is being rushed to the nearest hospital and I pray she survives. The medic who transported her told the family it would be in there best interest to make sure she does not return there. They have been there on many occasions for cardiac arrest and they have lied about the patients conditions. They have lied about the multiple burses on her body as well as a puncture on her back, which they are blaming on her Kidney doctor. Per the Kidney doctor they did and do not do any type of procedures in their office. They have allowed her to fall and have lied about how it happened. If you want your loved ones cared for and to live, please do not send them here. We will be filing a formal complaint with the state as well.

Do not leave a loved one here alone. There are too many issues to recount…read more Our problems here have included: mishandling & unfulfilled prescriptions, the staff not having basic tools to check vitals, nurses (mainly LVNs) not applying basic common sense to patient care, non-recognition a patient's obvious special needs, lack of nurse supervision, & grossly inadequate staffing levels. Staffing levels are too low for a satisfactory patient ratio. The predominant use of LVNs instead of RNs is the source of many problems. The LVNs here are very are weak in making & reading individual patient care notes. We have learned to make copies of everything & to follow up on every detail. They fail at basic common sense follow-through and often fail to do what they say they will. On the plus side, the physical & occupational therapists are consistently excellent. However, there is a huge lack of coordination between therapists & the nursing care staff. Often, patients have not been made ready for their therapy, causing the therapists to perform basic care such as dressing, pad changing, etc. The facility is not being well maintained -- painting is needed & furniture in patient rooms is in dire need of being replaced. The ownership changed a few years ago. Before that, we heard it was a much better experience here. The present owner is a California corporation named Ensign Services. They are not well rated. If you go here now, have someone who can help you with monitoring the care provided. This ownership is leaving a gap in south Texas services for a higher quality facility.
