Never go this place again. They replaced sunroof on my mom's car. Leaks everytime through car wash. Their response was it's her fault because she supposed to bring car into them once a year to clean out the sunroof for $75hr. Very scamming.....recommend anywhere else since they refuse to fix the scrappy install job. Shame on these peeps read more

Customer service was subpar. The lady who answers the phone was very rude. Within 60 days there were two transactions totaling $1000.00 from me. Definitely wasn't treated like a valued customer. Moreover, I am constantly sending them business. There is no referral program. My car was not cleaned after the install. Finger prints were all over the tint and some oily substance was on my headrest. This is a 2023 with less than 100 miles. There is no way the car came dirty at my purchase. And there was no offer to clean my car. read more

I recently had some window tint installed on my car by solar vision. I have a very light gray interior and they got it filthy below the back window. Also, they did not wash any of the windows and it looks like a dog licked them and somebody spread it all over the place. I understand you cannot use ammonia products but a place with any level of professionalism would still clean the windows before releasing it back to the customer. I would not recommend seeking their services. read more

Had a sub added to my 2018 Accord Sport. Caesar walked me through all the options. After a month of using it, he re-tuned it. It's perfect and the work is very well done. They are a nice staff, which is more than I can say about my Uber driver. Thank you Ceasar and Solar Vision. Rich S. read more

Never had any tinting done but over the years I've had them do plenty else. Fine work. Recently had stereo installed in classic Mustang. Excellent. They even expertly wired a gps speedo I furnished. Great stereo and service. read more

I had Solar Vision install my viper remote starter a couple days ago and I've had nothing but problems since. I paid to have them put it on because I wanted it done right the first time. To start with my remote would not lock or unlock my doors. If I were to manually lock my doors and then try to remote start my vehicle it would trigger my anti-theft alarm to go off. Not okay at 6am while trying to get ready for work. If that wasn't enough my engine light came on the day after the installed the remote starter. I do not know for sure if that is the vipers fault but that light has never come on before in the years I've owned this vehicle. The range was supposed to be up to 2 miles which is why I upgraded to the nicest model they carried (4706V) and I barely get a half mile range in the middle of a corn field. And last but not least thier customer service is very poor. When I told them about my issues they were not very helpful. They did fix the main issues, however my engine light is still on. I guess that is my problem, not theirs. I expected more from them. Needless to say I will not be giving them any more of my business and I would advise you to do the same. read more

Whatever you do, avoid this company for anything WINDOW TINT related. I cannot judge them on the other work they do as I only had them tint the windows on my 2012 FORD Fusion in May of 2013. This was not the first time I had window tint done on one of my vehicles. When I took back possession of my car, I noticed there were TONS of air bubbles in the window tint, more than I have ever seen. I went back into the shop and was like "hey, what is up with all the air bubbles?" The lady at the front counter said to give it a few weeks of sitting out in the sun and the air bubbles would dry up. Duh. So I waited a few weeks which then extended to a month and the air bubbles were not gone. I called in and spoke with the same lady and she said, "well we haven't had much sun so I would give it some more time". So I followed her instructions. It is now the end of October and the air bubbles are still in the window tint. Today, I had my father take the car down to Solar Vision with a letter I wrote explaining how disappointed I was in the their tint job. I asked them in that letter to either fix the current window tint, replace the window tint OR refund the credit card used to purchase the tint. My father called me (since Solar Visions hours are the exact same hours I work) and I spoke with some guy, who was extremely rude. He stated he will remove the window tint WITHOUT replacing it and give a full refund. I told him that was not one of my acceptable options to fix the issue. He said that my expectations were too high and that Solar Vision could not meet those expectations. Apparently, Solar Vision believes that air bubbles in window tint are acceptable and anyone who feels that their window tint should be air bubble free have HIGH EXPECTATIONS. Please to anyone who is thinking of doing business with this company, rethink it. You will waste an entire day with them and then some only to get sub-par product performance. Do more research as there ARE places in the Quad Cities that offer window tinting service in East Moline who would be better suited for this type of job. read more

Solar vision has been around for as long as I've known. I have been using them for all my custom stereo and window tint needs for over 15 years. They are extremely knowledgeable in their products and equipment. Also when getting a custom stereo installed they have a fast turn around. read more

Had wifes car windows tinted in 2016 all good. My truck remote start was done very well, also later went back for window tint for fronts, perfect. From reading previous feeds i am thinking we have different installers, so lesson for us all is check your windows before u leave, point out any extreme bubble numbers, a few will go away "if not large" alot maybe not. read more

In November of 2014 I took my Mustang to Solar Vision to have a remote start installed. I got the car back, paid for it, the remote worked fine, the installer put the antenna in the lower left corner of the windsheild. I have had several cars with remote start and none ever had the antenna in the lower section of the windsheild. The difficulty is in the cleaning and it looks like a mouse from somebody's laptop running up the windsheild. When I called the manager, he said the trim around the window was too difficult to run the wire for the antenna ?? I insisted on having it behind the rearview mirror at the top of the windsheild, he said I would have to bring it back. I live 40 miles from his place and work 7 miles from his store. The original install I took a taxi to and from in order to get the install done, $40. I asked for a courtesy pick up and deliver of my car from my work. He said that he couldn't do it because he wasn't staffed for that. When I finally did get it back to him, had my wife drive up to pick me up and take me to work 40 miles up 40 miles back. Upon picking up the car, I was satisfied with the placement. The counter girls and the manager treated me as if I were the preverbial "turd in the pool" Folks you decide. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Not pleased with the quality of tint work on my brand new 2014 vehicle. My first complaint is, they do not clean up after the job. When I got my vehicle back, the solution that was used to tint the windows had dripped all down the side of my door panel. It left white streaks on the leather. It took several tries to clean it and recondition it. My second complaint is, the tint had numerous air bubbles and was also not cut straight. I went back a couple weeks later and was told to leave it out in the hot sun and they would disappear. Well, I left it parked outside in my driveway for a week straight. Now 3 months later they are still there. What a bunch of amateurs! I will not have any other work performed by Solar Vision! read more

I can mirror Megan's comments almost exactly. I would never take another car to Solar Vision for any sort of tint work. I have had tinted windows in my last 5 vehicles, with the last three being done by a competitor that, unfortunately, is no longer in business. I decided to give these guys a shot as they have been around a lot longer than some of the competition and I figured they should know what they were doing. I took my truck in on a Tuesday to get tinted and picked up late that afternoon. I have had tint before, so I knew to expect moisture bubbles under the tint that generally go away within a week or so. What I did not expect was numerous spots of dirt and dust between the tint and the glass on all of the tinted windows. I called them the next day, Wednesday, and was told to bring it in. I took it in Thursday morning only to find out that both of their tint installers were "out on a job" all day and wouldn't be back until the next day and one of them would need to look at it. I took it back again Friday morning and had one of their installers take a look at it. He saw the dirt that I pointed out on both front windows and the windshield strip they did. He went in and told the receptionist to schedule to re-tint the front windows. When I asked if they were going to redo the windshield strip as well as there is dirt in that and it is directly in front of me while driving and he told me "you're never going to get a perfect tint job, we have to touch the tint to put it on" and walked away. I didn't bother to reschedule with them have already scheduled to take my truck to another shop that I am paying to remove the shoddy tint from Solar Vision and to tint it properly. read more
