October is an absolute gem - stratospherical service, quality, uniqueness, value and selection…read more I've been an extremely satisfied customer for a decade. This past spring Beverly and Kaylee went above and beyond by putting together a box of things for my daughter and shipped it to Vancouver for her to try - all the items were spot on. At Christmas they helped me figure out what to get for my colleagues across the country. Can't go wrong at October - you'd have to aim to miss - I'm always surprised that the price is lower than expected.

Was I planning on spending $500 on jeans when I walked in!? No. Am I disappointed that I did? Nope…read more I have a mountain of ill fitting jeans from chain stores that probably add up to triple what I spent on one good, well fitting jean from Danali. The customer service was outstanding. The staff are so knowledgeable and went out of their way to make sure that I was happy with my decision. I will definitely be back to support this local, family-owned business. So kind.

They sell mostly European brands especially Italian. Lots of suits and dress shirts and an amazing selection of high-end dress shoes. There's also a small section of sports/casual wear and outerwear. They sell brands like Hugo Boss, Alberto Guardiani, Poggianti, Signum, Van Gils, Pal Zileri and Mabrun. You can't miss this store on Broadway as it's a dark gray cube with no windows other than the display area. The interior is a darker space so it feels like you've stepped into another world when you enter the store. Service ranges from neutral, friendly to cold with a bit of a "I don't really care" type of attitude. You will probably get warmer service from Harry Rosen since it's situated in a mall and the sales people there are trained in that sense. Here, it's a boutique and it's almost like you have to earn friendly service. LOL. It really depends on the sales person you encounter. We had the best service from the owner but it also helps when my honey has been a client for years. There is parking behind the store though it's a bit chaotic as you're double parked behind staff.

These folks keep me in clothes. Their jeans wear longer than Levis and are a not nearly the price of the red tab variety. I love the t-shirts and pick up several every time I go back. They have drifted towards some fashion wear in the last couple years but the standards can still be found. I like this store since it is easy to get to and it is impressive in size. If you arrive in early enough and impress her with your "I am Canadian but live in Scotland" spiel, you can sometimes turn her into your own personal shopper. Get her to find you the right size trousers and such. It make things easier than searching through the massive stacks of jeans yourself.

I happened to go into Great Finds when I am looking for an outfit for a job interview…read more I didn't have a lot of money - hence the job interview - and Laurie helped me look at possibilities. The very best interaction came when she acknowledged my low funds and asked me if I had a similar dress at home. I told her I did but I didn't know how to make it look 'sharp and with it.' She brought out earrings and a scarf and suggested they would work. I asked her if I could bring in the dress the next day and we could put them all together. She agreed!!! I brought them in. She put all the items together and it looked spectacular. Honestly I would never have thought they would work. They did!! Thank you Laurie and Great Finds!!

I found a beautiful silver and pearl necklace for my wedding here and got half off. There is a lot of handmade and sterling silver jewelry which is good if you have alloy allergies.
